I have been reading the boards and see some misunderstandings. I have some first hand knowledge here. I hope I can be of help.

Christians and Unitarians are not the same thing. First of all to be a Christian you have to believe that there is only one God and that is God (Allah). You have to believe in the Holy Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and The Holy Spirit. Also that Jesus is God's son. That he died and rose again. If a person does not believe those things then they are not a Christian. A Unitarian does not believe in the Holy Trinity, so he would not be a Christian.

A Jehovah's witness is not a Christian. They do not believe in the Holy Trinity, or that Jesus is God's son.

Think of where the name Christian comes from. Jesus Christ. That does not make them idol worshippers. They do not worship Jesus. They only worship God. But God loved the world so much that he sent his only son to pay the price of sin. So that all would have the chance to go to Heaven. You do not go to Heaven by works or deeds. No one could ever do enough worthy enough to earn that reward. Heaven is too great. But, what Christians do believe is that, Jesus paid the price for all our sins. Now that who ever believes in him, asks forgiveness for their sins, and believes in the one true God. That person will go to heaven. Jesus would not even allow people to worship him. He came as a messenger and a teacher. He also came as God's son, to pay the price of all our sins. Believers and non-believers.

So that is the basis of Christianity to the best of my knowledge. I am a Christian. My fiancee is a Muslim. I have been studying religions.
