I have perused plethora of translations and juxtaposed them with quran.corpus word to word translation. Shabir Ahmeds translation is from a laymen's term, even though I can also pick on some of his way, how he compounds verses from allover to pin point his own understanding. Many other translations are from the traditional leanings, I prefer to a degree, how he brings to light the intention.. I can read between his lines as well!

I hate this Idea of each time adding a comment or replying, I get to be tested on worldly knowledge of verifications.. LOL.. I guess it is the system!

Mentioned is the name of SALAT in the verse itself as Sallat Jumma..

Is there a possibility one has missed this by haste?

629 O you who believe, when the oath of allegiance is called to at the time of public gathering, then you shall hasten towards the remembrance of God, and cease all selling. This is better for you, if you only knew.

6210 Then, once the oath of allegiance is complete, you shall disperse through the land and seek God's provisions, and remember God frequently, that you may succeed.

And, the verse which is also the name of this Surah, is also called Jumma

Hello from Canada, I was searching for Shabir Ahmeds translation as it is the only one that makes more sense than many others which are bloated with parentheses, which are sipping through as translations and bounced on this site! Which so far makes my head hurt! LOL!
