There is no such independent phenomena as "time"

"Time is a part of the measuring system used to sequence events, to compare the durations of events and the intervals between them, and to quantify rates of change such as the motions of objects"

So when Allaah said that "I am Time", He explained in the exact same Hadeeth Qudsee as to what that means. It means that He is the One who causes the alternation of day and night, He is the one that sets things into motion. Time is not an independent force that acts independently. In reality, time is simply our perception of something that is in reality in the Hands of Allaah.

Doubt is something that invalidates one's Faith. You cannot be a believer and at the same time have even a shred of doubt about the truth of Allaah's Revelation. How many times Allaah in the Quraan condemns doubt?

The truth is from your Lord, so be not at all in doubt

So I urge you that if you consider yourself a Muslim, then Islaam means to submit and to accept without any resistance in one's soul to what Allaah has revealed. That is the sign of the true Believer. If you cannot understand the wisdom behind some of the things Allaah has revealed, then pray that Allaah makes the matter clear to you. But do not listen to the whisperings of the Devil that wants you to doubt, because that doubt will definitely become the gateway to the nullification of your Faith.

Allaah says in the Quraan

It is He Who has sent down to you (O Prophet &#1605 the Book. In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking tribulation, and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allaah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say "We believe in it; the whole of it is from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding.

So with regard to the letters that appear at the beginning of several Surahs, they are from the Mutashaabihaat (the ambiguous or unclear verses). No one knows their meaning except Allaah. We believe in them and believe it is from our Lord. However, those people who have a disease in their heart will try to explain the meaning of these letters or try to interpret them. Allaah warns against such a thing, because only Allaah knows what they mean.

A certain astray sect from the 72 misguided sect, known as the Asharis, claim that although the Quraan is the Speech of Allaah, Allaah does not speak with letters or sound. They claim that Allaah's speech is Nafsani (internal), and it is not a speech which can be heard, or which consists of letters.

This deviant and severely misguided belief is refuted by the fact that the letters "Alif Laam Meem", "Qaaf", "Saad", "Ta-Ha", "ya Seen", etc., are part of the Quraan, and therefore part of Allaah's Speech, which clearly prove that Allaah's speech does indeed consist of letters.

Besides Qur'an then simply post one authentic hadeeth which is proven and swear by God upon your soul it is true -- no doubt in it.

How many Hafiz are there now? How many were there then? The Quran is the words of Allah Almighty, it was emblazed in the brian and remembered and recited. Muhammed never forgot a word and neither did those that did study it and learn it. There is no one now or then that has memorized the entire Bukhari, why? the wording used is a clue.

So you are saying that the Quraan is true, because, although it was written down many years after the Prophet died, compiled many decades later, and the earliest manuscripts we have today are dated not earlier than a 100 years after his death...you say we can trust the Quraan because it was memorized and transmitted orally from person to person.

Now if only you study how Hadeeth were transmitted, you will see it was the exact same way as Quraan! Every authentic hadeeth was orally transmitted by one companion, who himself heard the Prophet saying the words, and it was passed down orally, just like Quraan. The Hadeeths were memorized by the Companions, they not only taught people the Quraan orally, but they also taught people the Hadeeth orally.

At that time there were many Muhaditheen who memorized literally hundreds of thousands of Ahadeeth, in fact, they used to teach Hadeeth without reading from a book or manuscript, but all from their memory, passing it down orally, just like the Quraan was passed down!

Every hadeeth is examined based on its SANAD (chain of narrators), and what the scholars of "Ilm-ul-Rijaal" have said about each and every single narrator, including biographical information, as well as testimony regarding the character, beliefs, and other information about each and every single narrator. There are literally volumes and volumes of books on "Ilm-ul-Rijaal" written by the experts of Hadeeth where you can access this rich amount of knowledge and history.

As I have proven, it has nothing to do with picking or choosing, but rather, it is based on examining the chain of narrators.

It is also interesting to note that many of the narrations in Bukhari and Muslim are "MUTAWAATIR", meaning, mass-narrated by so many narrators that it is impossible that they have been fabricated. No modern court of law would ever reject witness testimony that is mass-narrated by so many different witnesses, especially if they do not know eachother! Which is often the case in the hadeeth sciences.

So there are literally volumes of hadith books each corroborating narrations compiled by different Muhaditheen. Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud as-Sijistani, Ibn Majah, Ahmad ibn Hanbal, the Muwatta of Malik, Sahifah of Ibn Abi Shaybah, Daraqutuni, Ibn Hibbaan, Ibn Khuzaiymah, Darami, and so many others.

The prophet recited a profound message for those of understanding, immediately after the prophet died there were at least 12 sects all with new ideas, they obviously actually had very little understanding of the whole thing. One of those sects was the "Khawaarij" who rejected the Hadeeth and proclaimed to follow Quraan only. They were soundly defeated in the Battle of Nahrawan by the fourth khalifah of Islaam, the son-in-law and cousin of the Prophet, Ali ibn Abi Talib .

In addition, Allaah says He will also give knowledge of the Book, meaning the Quraan, and the Wisdom, meaning the Sunnah, to Jesus.

Since Torah and Gospel are different things, therefore it is proven that all these four things which Allaah has mentioned (Al-Kitaab, Al-Hikmah, At-Tawrah, and Al-Injeel) are separate and distinct revelations. They are not the same thing or four different titles of the same book!

The Gospel and the Torah are different revelations, therefore, the Kitaab and the Hikmah are also different revelations.

My friend, the Quraan itself tells us the tremendous importance of the outer form of the Salaat, including which parts of the body to wash during ablution (i.e. face, hands up to the elbow, to rub the head, and the feet up to the ankles), as well as the command to bathe the entire body for major ritual purification

If the outer form of the prayer is not important, why the Quraan goes into so much detail about the ablution and method of purification?

His basic argument that he put forth in defense of his entire straw structure is based on a logical fallacy!

Had he not been ignorant about the quraan and logical fallacies and had he not been illogical he would have seen the truth easily that his position and basic argument is completely refuted from the quraan and from logic and is untenable.

Indeed, and one of the Signs of Allaah is His sending of the Messenger . Because Allaah didn't just send the Quraan, He sent the Quraan AND the Messenger. You can't have one without the other.

What is the best of what has been sent down from Him?

The Best of that which Allaah has sent down to the Prophet is indeed the Holy Quraan. No doubt about it.

Yet this same verse you quoted is another proof that that Allaah has sent down other revelation besides this Quraan, i.e. the Hadith Qudsi for example.

The point is, Allaah has commanded us in numerous verses in the Quraan to follow everything which has been revealed to the Messenger of Allaah .

Yes, Allaah commands us to follow the best of that which has been sent down to him by his Lord, yet He never says that you will follow that exclusively, meaning, to the exclusion to all other revelation.

So the logical fallacy on your part is to take something which is general command and turn it into an exclusive command.

If Allaah said to follow nothing but the Quraan, or follow nothing but the best of that which He sent down, you would be right, but when He said to follow the best of that which is sent down to the Prophet , it was not an exclusive command to follow only that.

This sign proves that Muhammad the messenger of the god wanted us to follow only the quraan because of the wording "that I may warn you WITH IT". He doesn't say "that I may warn you with it and my hadith and sunna". So even though there had been other inspirations to him he warned the people only with the quraan so in order to follow him it is enough to follow the quraan only.

Allaah also commanded the Prophet to stand in prayer during the night, except for a little . Does it mean that the Prophet didn't have to stand for prayer at other times? Obviously that's not the case, because Allaah enjoined upon the Prophet to pray at other times as well besides the night in various verses of the Quraan.

The logical fallacy

Just because Muhammad the messenger of the god was inspired other than the quraan in addition to the quraan DOES NOT mean that we have to or need to follow the inspirations other than the quraan, IF the quraan is complete and fully detailed and has the details of everything relevant to our guidance.

If the quraan is fully detailed and contains the details of everything relevant to our guidance, then following the quraan would be ENOUGH, and we don't need to follow the other inspirations outside the quraan.

The Quraan is general and requires further explanation, that is why Allaah said that the duty of the Messenger is to explain the Reminder which is sent down

The Quraan also commands us to take whatever the Messenger allows us, and abstain from whatever he forbids.

In another thread I gave a perfect example of this principle and why it is necessary. In the Quraan, Allaah says He has only forbidden four things to eat 1) dead meat, 2) blood, 3) pork, 4) any meat upon which other than Allaah's Name has been pronounced Therefore, for those who follow only the Quraan as guidance, all other meat is permissible, including dog meat, cat meat, snake meat, eagle, hawk, etc.

Yet we know for a fact that these animals and their meat is just as impure as the pig, and that is why we know from the Hadeeth that the Messenger of Allaah prohibited the eating of any animal that has fangs, and any bird that has talons.

But you as a "Quraan-only" follower will have no problem eating the impure meat of dogs, cats, snakes, and eagles. You claim to follow the way of Abraham, but actually you are following the way of pagans, chinese, etc., who eat these impure meat. Even in the Torah, these impure meats are forbidden.

So yes, the Quraan is indeed fully detailed...NOT because it contains all the instructions and regulations for our guidance...but because it tells us to obey the Messenger and to take whatever he allows us, and abstain from whatever he forbids us.

The Quraan is not fully detailed in the way you think, otherwise why would Allaah not mention in the Quraan that dog meat, cat meat, snake meat, etc., is forbidden, and why in the Quraan would He tell us to take everything the Messenger allows, and abstain from everything He forbids?

Therefore, you are misguided heretics, just like the Khawaarij of old, because even they believed in the Quraan and used to read it intensely. In fact, when the fourth khalifah of Islaam, Ali ibn Abi Taalib sent Ibn Abbaas to debate with the Khawaarij sect at their camp, when he approached their camp he heard a sound like buzzing, which was the Khawaarij reading the Quraan.

A person who rejects the Hadeeth is actually rejecting the Quraan, because Allaah says in the Quraan to obey the Messenger, and to take whatever he gives, and to forbid ourselves whatever he has forbidden for us. The Quraan also says that everything the Prophet (peace be upon him) says is a revelation from Allaah

So by rejecting the Hadeeth, you are not only rejecting the Prophet (peace be upon him), you are also rejecting the Quraan.

Their spiritual ancestor is Dhul Khuwaisirah, one of the hypocrites, who criticized the Prophet (peace be upon him) and told him to be just and to fear Allaah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) responded that who is more just than him, and who is more fearing of Allaah than him? And then the Prophet (peace be upon him) predicted that from the loins of Dhul Khuwaisirah there would come a people who would recite the Quraan, but it would not go beyond their throats, meaning, the guidance of the Quraan would not penetrate into their hearts, despite their reading of it. These Khawaarij would be young, immature people with no knowledge, following their desires. They would reject the Hadeeth and the Sunnah, they would raise slogans of justice.

Yet this is one of the deviant sects that the Prophet (peace be upon him) warned about, and mentioned that they are the "Dogs of the Hellfire"

OK so explain why this has anything to do with following rumors and hearsay spread 200 years after Qur'an?

Hadith are not rumors or hearsay. They are the words of the Prophet (peace be upon him) narrated by his Companions. They were not created 200 years after the Quraan, they were compiled (as in collected and written down) much earlier than that. For example, the Muwatta of Imam Malik was compiled in the before the third century Hijri, quite early on. In fact, many ahadith were compiled even before that, within the first century of Islaam, such as the Sahifah of Hammam ibn Munnabih, a student of the companion Abu Hurairah, and the Musannaf of Abdur Razzaq as-Sanaa'i.

So first study the history of Hadith before you make such ignorant statements.

This verse doesn't address my challenge, which is to show a single verse from the Quraan which says only the Quraan is revealed by Allaah to the Prophet (peace be upon him)
