Hi, I started developing my knowledge of Islam and I seem to be discovering something new every day. This thing I am battling with at the minute is contact prayer. What does it mean? should I be doing it? Does the quran actually advocate the ritual prayer? ETC. This all started 10 years ago when I was very ignorant and my friend point out a fact about halal meat. The common misconception about meat that it has to be slaughtered a particular way invoking Allah's name at the time of the slaughter etc. Since then, I feel like I've taken the red pill (like in the matrix) and everything has been a lie! I'd love to use this forum to discuss and discover for myself what Islam means to me. welcome Religion is all about turning untested belief into unshakable truth through the power of institutions and the passage of time. The first step that anyone took which mostly resulted in losing their own religion is starting to think, contemplate and validate their own religion. Yet the vast majority didn't even bothered to do that.
