it returns as a curved sheath (singular). so the new moon is basically the zero moon or the astronomical new moon, which is before the crescent. when there is no moon in the sky.

the main problem is that the moon cycle is not a strict 29 or 30 days. rather 29.53 days. sometimes you will not see the new moon because the new moon might take place when it is day on earth, and by the time the sun sets, the crescent has already appeared.

if the moon returns as a curved sheath. then the next phase after the waning crescent is no moon in the sky, which can be easily confirmed through naked eye and telescope, where neither can contradict each other.

as shahr is something obvious it may be the phase when there is no moon, and it is obvious, even if you go to a mountain you won't see it.

as our calendar is similar to the scripture, the people of the book also use the astonomical new moon which is the zero moon to identify the new month.

Regarding the month of ramadhan, my opinion is there are a couple of definitions for the word ramadh, with i think shortness of rations predominating the heat interpretation.

if we denote rabi al awwal as the start of the grazing season, which starts in april, the grazing season finishes in autumn. there is shortness of rations as the trees shed their foliage. If we take rabia al awwal as april in the grazing season, then if we count down the months till ramadhan in order, we will find that it falls in october which falls in autumn.

in addition the word ramidha is used as a name in muslims and arabs and means white rose. As you know white roses or in general roses are particularly attached with autumn.

As seasons are based on harvest, i would interpret ramadhan as ramidha or shortness of rations.

There are signs each day that help us to stay true, like the sun, moon, alternation of day and night.

there are also signs we don't see everyday, regarding these signs, like this particular one.

so if anyone can elaborate on the science of signs from Allah from the quran.

whether on not he is mahdi is for Allah to decide, and whether there will be any mahdi is for Allah to decide.

However it is very likely that this is a sign from Allah, the creator.

How is it corelating with the matter. Science cannot explain this.

What does Allah tell us about signs in al-kitab.

Any claim for a sign can be easily laughed off, or it can be taken in criticism.

I believe criticism is more important.

What we do not know, whe should not take lightly.

And as such, We have made you a balanced nation so that you may be witness over the people, and that the messenger may be witness over you. (2143)

Can someone please enlighten me with this verse. To my understanding the messenger for each nation will be a witness for its nation.

The prophet will say my people have taken the quran as something mahjura.

He will say qowmi "my people". The prophet will be a "witness" for us on the day of judgement.

We acknowledge Allah through our messengers. When the magicians accepted belief, they uttered the words lord of musa and harun.

When the queen accepted belief she said i submit with solomon.

When phiroun was about to die he said he believes in the lord of musa.

"Fattaqullaha wa ateeun"

We believe in the rab of muhammad. He is the same rab, but he is the messenger of our people.

I agree shahada is only for Allah, testification is only for Allah but acknowledgement is different.

It is valid to say la ilaha illallah muhammad ur rasulullah as acknowledgement. Why not say all the other messenger names, cuz only Muhammad will be witness for us on the day of judgement and not Musa or Isa.

another interesting thing i would like to understand is does testification bring one into islam or eeman. Because the bedouins said they believed but they were told to say they submitted.

The word shahadat is never mentioned in the quran. U just have to believe.

The question remains where is the original quran.
Does the saudi government have possession of even older manuscripts and are they hiding it.

Surely, those who conceal what God has sent down of the Scripture, and they purchase with it a cheap price; they will not eat in their stomachs except the Fire, and God will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful retribution. (2174)

It can also be argued that quran may be changed because of the following ayat

So woe to those who write the Scripture with their hands then say ?This is from God,? so that they can seek a cheap gain! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they gained. (279)

Writing with their own hands can mean adding verses, in reference to the controversy of the last two verses of sura 9.

In both ayats the word used is kitab. The quran is also kitab. Can these verses refer to the quran?

it says that sacrificices should be offered to the kaba..

the verse says hadiyan baligal ka'bati

does it mean that the sacrifice should be made in the vicinity of the ka'ba

or on the ka'ba the rock

is the fucntion of the ka'ba an altar for sacrifice

there is a baby born in russia with quranic verses that appear on its back and leg and arms, and the babys temperature rises during this time. then the temperature returns to normal.

there is proof too, it has been on the news.
