Sister, with all due respect, comapre prophet Muhammad from The Quran with prophet Muhammad from the hadith books. I did it and discovered that person portrayed as prophet Muhammad from the hadith, is not Muhammad, let alone a prophet. It is a lie against the prophet Muhammad. However, if you read The Quran carefully, God willing, you'll see that prophet Muhammad is described very well in there, Thank God. Glory be to our God. peace. I understand what you mean as far as the negative portrayal within many hadith, as I can see this with the very few hadith I've already looked at (and I'm definitely not looking towards hadith as a definitive description of who he was). I'm just seeking a little more depth into who he was. I'm sure Quran gives the best description, all that I need to know, but I'm just curious about the things that aren't necessarily "need to know" in regards to religion. Though perhaps I've just not read the Quran thoroughly enough at this point to see everything that is there. My focus is usually more about the message when I read Quran, so maybe I'm neglecting the things within it that are pointing out his character. About music praising Muhammad The Messenger of God , if you enjoy it , continue to listen to it , but why only music about praising Muhammad but not the other prophets and messengers ? are you not aware that as believers we must not differentiate/discriminate from one messenger to the other ? What is special about Muhammad the messenger of god that he is singled out for this praise and adulation ? My intention is not to discriminate or differentiate between them. I'm simply learning about Muhammad as a messenger for the first time in my life, and so I'm naturally curious to know more about him in particular. Not as a way to put him above all of the messengers/prophets, but to appreciate him individually in a similar way as I've grown up learning about and appreciating some of the others mentioned in Quran (like Moses, Jesus, Noah, etc). Why don't your broaden your focus by only not focusing too much on Muhammad? No problem with this at all... though I am a little weary of some christian sources, not because of the praise, but because some of it speaks of the trinity idea and it is something I moved away from long ago. But should I come upon things that focus on others, I'm definitely interested in it as well. As far as music goes, there's just not as big of a selection in regards to others mentioned in Quran (at least that I've seen so far). My thanks to all. Peace.

peace, I'm not trying to be disrespectful or anything, just saying that in order to use the site it would take me quite a bit of time to understand what exactly I was doing. I don't know the arabic language, so I would be hopping back and forth from websites in order to find what I am looking for. I dont know the Arabic language either. Some others I know who use the site also do not know Arabic. This is not a barrier. The only barrier is will/effort and time (like in almost every aspect of life I might add). If you have both of these, you will be fine. If you tried what I said and found it confusing, why not seek clarification? Are you concerned about looking foolish in your search for the truth? Never think that! The fools are those who do not seek the truth, those who follow the crowd blindly, those who would rather remain ignorant than risk making a mistake. In the other thread, I described what to do in order to use PRL. The starting point was if you knew of a verse where the word you were interested in studying occurred. So the question is, do you? If you do, type the verse into the "search function" of PRL (click found top right), and it will list ALL the roots in the verse. So, from then, it is simply a matter of process of elimination. Usually there is no more than 10 and about half will have meanings listed, so if those meanings dont resemble the word you are studying, then they can be eliminated, leaving about 5. Then, eliminating these by simply checking each root in PRL will eliminate all but one. The whole process takes about 5mins, which is perhaps less time than it took to write the post. Of course, the first time might take longer, but your speed will improve dramatically only after a few goes. Can you point out where specifically you got stuck/confused? It is not only helpful for you, but also for me, as I would like PRL to be as user-friendly as possible, so you'd be doing me a favour. I don't know.. perhaps I am in the wrong type of forum, and would be better off going back to google and yahoo answers with my questions. You give up too easily!

Peace be with you Putaradivi From personal experience and those of other followers of The Qur'an , I found as you did that , the so called "Muslims" really hate The Qur'an but revere the sayings of Bukhari and others like him. This is to be expected as The Qur'an has warned us about these people ( Qur'an 1015 , if memory serves me right ) . As for what you tell these so called Sunni/Shi'a regarding The Hadiths that you follow , I suggest you tell them that , you follow The Hadiths of The Messenger of God 100% . ( since the Qur'an came out from the mouth of the Messenger ) , then proceed to tell them all the relevant Verses regarding Hadiths . As for going to the Mosque on Fridays , speaking for myself , I only go to meet people there to engage them in discussions and Debate about what Islam is all about according to the Qur'an and my current understading of it . I have not done any of the Traditional Form of Prayers ( eg the Bending over one ) even inside the Mosque for years . this alone will prompt The Sunni/Shi'a people to ask you why you did what you did ( not praying like them ) . So you will then have your opportunity to explain your form of Islam that you follow i.e. Islam based on The Qur'an and Logic . Peace , almarh0m
