How do define shirk?

Al-Hujweri said worship is shirk because worship demands duality which is (polytheism) because it establishes multiplicity of being."

Why is it a "SIN," an "OPPRESSION" (zulm)? Who is
"OPPRESSED?"

It is "oppression on your self," a sin "against your own true self !"

Having been quite veiled of your own truth, your own essence, your original being, you worship a DIETY off in the heights somewhere, out there beyond yourself, and as such you fall into a polytheism against "ALLAH" by ascribing a partner to HU. Eventually, that polytheism leaves you deprived of countless qualities all available within the reality of your own self! Here, this is the greatest oppression you ever bring on your self, on your own self!

In point of fact, the ever ultimate oppression on yourself is to remain deprived of the reality of your own SELF".

The rule that "he who does not know himself cannot know his Lord (Rabb)" results from the statement that "He who knows himself knows his Lord."

Then how does one take only God as ones lord then?

Lol yes I have searched the verses and read various translations although Rashad Khalifa's translation seems to say it includes passing wind too

They are not people of the book because they did not exist at the time, that is why if you run through "Sunni" in place of wherever "people of the book" occurs in The Quran, it will work in some places and not others. At least, that is what I found from my studies so far.

HOWEVER, conceptually, they could be regarded as "people of the book" and some of what is said is applicable if they fit the criteria.

Similarly, any tyrant leader can be "Pharaoh", but they are not literally "Pharaoh", i.e. the "Pharaoh" The Quran speaks of.

I know this has probably been asked before, but is there a Difference between a Prophet and a Messenger? As far as I know, the Holy Quran says that Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon him) was the last Prophet. Does this imply that he was the last Messenger of Allah Almighty as well?

If someone is a Jew or Christian doesnt it mean they are rejecting Muhammad(Peace be upon him) and therefore rejecting a messenger? And what about rejecting the Quran?

I just want your guys opinion on the issue.

My parents dont pay TV liscence(as far as I can tell many people dont) but would it be morally wrong for me to watch on my TV? My parents dont pay cause they say they pay so much taxes and the government works the price in there. We have to DSTV(sattelite Tv) premiums too. I dont think money is the issue just my dads not the biggest fan of our government. Your opinions? Could I give the same amount in charity ever year?I really like to watch soccer which is pretty much all I watch nowadays

This topic is a problem I have about Salah. I still pray in the traditional way but this is not a debate about this. My problem is that, if I remember correctly, Allah says in the Quran that we should say our Salah in a moderate tone. Now I still pray in the mosque in my area since I can concentrate better there. Problem is they make Thuhr and Asr prayers silently.I like going to mosque but I do not know what to do since the Quran verse says we should say our Salah in a moderate tone. I did not tell my family I am not following the sunni way anymore so I have the same problem when I pray with them. I currently remake all my Salahs that is made silently but it is getting very taxing. Help anyone?

P.S this is not a debate about the nature of Salah
