What WONDERFUL replies ! I thank you all most kindly !!!! Dotty I was also once a Christian and was taught that even Jesus made lawful things that were previously UNlawful! IMAGINE THAT! Well....I am deffinately 100% persuaded tonight...no more pork for me and I happen to LOVE lentils and legumes yay!!!!!! Since much of religion is based on superstitions and the lack of scientific proof of things, why wouldnt it be ok to eat pork in this day and age, in America for instance where there are strict regulations? Pigs raised for human consumption no longer wallow around peoples back yards eating their sewage. I'm wondering if what Muhammad knew as "swine" were even the same as the hogs raised today? I am a new Revert and as expensive as groceries are right now, especially the price of beef...I find that many cuts of pork are very affordable!
