Assalamu alaikum,

Why wasn't Quran compiled in the order it was revealed? I tried researching on this topic. But couldn't find any convincing explanation. May Allah forgive me If I'm wrong - but I believe it would have been great if it were compiled in the order it was revealed. Then one could travel through its early journey without having to refer any other documents/history since Quran validates itself!

I would love to know your take on this
