In fact most people will go to Hell and it does not matter if they call themselves Muslims, Christians, Jews or whatever. It is not depending on that.

Can you tell us more about how most people will go to hell? It sounds fun and exciting. Be sure to provide plenty of proof.
Your faith is between you and the Creator. My friendly advice is not to worry about what others think of your facebook status. The type of people who would be offended by such a thing are likely not the type of humans you'd want to spend a lot of time with in the first place.

It has been my experience that the best way to love the Infinite Creator is active engagement. A regular practice of meditation/prayer will result in an established line of communication with God, which will inevitably lead to an active love of the Sustainer.

I'll go with love. There's enough fear in the world, and I think it leads to exactly the type of nuthouse this entire planet seems to be turning into. However, there might be times when fear is good. It's all just words. Generally, fear doesn't seem to do me much good. But maybe I'm being oversimplistic...
Nah, I'll go with love being the best approach to relate to the Creator. Love your friends. Love your parents. Someday, we might all live in a world that my more cynical friends consider to be a utopian pipe-dream.

Ervin, I think it is most certainly okay to be a Quran alone Sufi.
As I've grown in my relationship with God, I have realized that all forces play a role in the cosmic drama that is unfolding (even forces that we can rightly refer to as being evil).
In my estimation, it will end when all conflicts are resolved. That state is the purpose of existence. I know I'm pretty tired of all the drama that goes on in this world (particularly the willingness of many human to be utterly disrespectful toward other forms of life).

I would like to say a word about people who refuse to acknowledge their own evil. It has been my life experience that those who most loudly and persistently insist upon their own goodness are some of the worst human beings that you will ever meet. Especially those who like to point out the flaws (i.e. "the evil" of others.

We all have evil tendencies. Acknowledgment of these tendencies is a necessary step in countering them and transforming them into universal love. God will grant peace on earth when humanity collectively decides that there will be peace on earth. As the Koran says, all will perish but the face of God.

You are SO right my dear. I also deeply believe that when a person is being a sadist in the case where for instance a man beats his wife or a woman beats her husband they know inside themselves its wrong. But one question remains - in my home country Pakistan its very very common that people beat and misuse their own children a lot, and they think they are doing something very good for their children. (By beating their children their children wont do anything wrong so its good for their kids to be beaten). So arent their cases when a person harms another person in a very harmful manner but with a 'good intention'?
Yeah, I guess sometimes harm is committed for "good intentions." But it gets old. All we want to do is practice Peace. Oh well, I think everything will eventually be resolved (everything being the psychotic acts of violence that happen in this world). Blessed are the peacemakers...

The idea of an unchanging Quran is an attempt to subject God to a limitation, the limitation of the worlds, letters, numbers and symbols of the Quran. The reason why God does not come to earth and make it absolute and unchanging is the same as the reason why God did not come to earth and father a child with Mary, mother of Jesus. It isn't in God's nature to behave like that.
God doesn't need Jesus nor the Quran to give human beings his guidance when he chooses to do so. God can deliver it directly into the heart, mind, soul, feelings and conscience of the Believer. This is what I see the Quran written down as being, the guidance from God recieved by the prophet, not infinite and unchanging, but still very wide, aware, noble and useful.
This quote nicely sums up my approach to Islam. Though I am not adding much to the discussion, I think this quote makes the thread worth reviving.
