I was born on 28th October 1995...And when I was four years old I knew about God! I was never brainwashed and I asked a lot of questions to my father. He was always very liberal and god alone. I entered primary school when I was 6 years old. thats when the brainwashing began. I wasn't effected by the "hadhis syndrome"

When I was 8, I secretly started to read free-minds.org articles that my father printed and kept in his file. I didn't understand much of it but after a few years I discovered the fakeness of traditional islam.

Happy Ramadan to all! After the first day of fasting I have some friendly advice to offer U.S. fasters. After a long day of fasting one may want to re-consider going to Golden Corral (a popular all-you-can-eat buffet), as my wife and I broke our fast there today.

I rampaged and ate everything in sight. I think I may have eaten a small child that got in my way on to the dessert section. The fine folks at Golden Corral definitely lost money on me today, and a mother, her precious child.

So yeah, just some advice for y'all Fasting + all you can eat buffet = stomach ache/1 hour of cardio at gym to compesate/missing the point of Ramadan entirely. laugh

Ahh yes, I've been told this so many times (followed by the bad breath = musk hadith). The truth is, in fasting we are ordered to abstain from sexual intercourse, eating, and drinking. Nowhere does it say anything about abstaining from personal hygiene (although some shower-averse may argue this). Actually, I brush my teeth more during the fast than I would if I were not fasting. Even from reading the Quran we can deduce that cleanliness is next to Godliness. My opinion is brush away, just don't eat the toothpaste, no matter how tempting it may be. ;D

I personally don't kill any insects outside if I can help it. If they're in my house and something like a mosquito, earwig, spider (I especially am a little scared of spiders), I'll kill them.
Moths don't scare me and I try to catch them or shoo them outside.
I think if you can avoid it you shouldn't kill them.

I agree 100%. I like to think of it this way, if they are encroaching on my territory (house, car, etc.) they will meet their demise. If I am encroaching on their territory (woods, port-a-potty, dive bar in New Orleans), then I'll leave them be. Firstly, it is disliked for the spouses to be completely naked during the act of sexual intercourse. I just read your thread today, unfortunately I haven't had much time online this week so I just got to it today. Anyway, I just wanted to say that it is a GREAT thread and I absolutely 100000% know how you feel! I have debated very hotly with others in the past (not so much on free-minds, but on other forums and even in mosques with hadithists) and after reading the Quran and God's many merciful attributes, later regretted or felt bad about the way I spoke to others.

I read an interesting book last night titled '23 minutes in Hell', and although it is extremely biased towards Christianity, it does carry an overall good message (basically, DON'T go there!). Supposedly the author got to spend 23 minutes in hell during a vision, and besides the numerous atrocities he encountered (too many to list here), he stated that the demonic creatures he encountered absolutely hated and despised God. Since they could not harm God directly, they turned and directed all of their anger and spiteful hatred towards the humans who were cast there because in relation to demons, we are molded closer to God and some of His attributes.

Anyway, it did get me thinking, why should we carry hatred or anger towards another fellow human being anyway, for we are all God's children and made to resemble His goodness. It just doesn't make sense to hate another human in the grand scheme of things. Now that I'm done giving my 2 cents all I have to do is apply this more often, I'd have it all figured out! laugh

I had sleep paralysis and what they call a hypnogogic hallucination or something like that. Some people call it 'the old hag' as many people report seeing an old witch-like lady strangling them. some see aliens. I used to see dark spirit-like beings coming towards me and stopping me from breathing and squashing my brain (well that's what it feels like), they go back then come back again over and over again till I wake up.
There isn't much medical explanation. They say that you wake up before your body does and the feeling of being unable to breath is sleep apnea.
I think there is something beyond what the doctors know. There is some place our minds go when we're asleep that the doctors don't understand.

Either way, if it happens, try remaining calm and praising God, it actually works. My 'episodes' used to last a lot longer until I started doing that. Even still, it only happens a couple of times a year at best, but have become far less intense since I started doing that! peace
