I think your translation is superior to Layth/Yuksels for this verse. Their translation often still contains traces of other translations they used to create their own. A methodology that is failed to begin with. This is really sad because they claim to reject hadith but at the same time just copied hadith inspired injected words in their translations. They are often injected in older translations to align Quranic translations with their contradictory hadith.

I think for most of us Sunnism/Shiaism inspired us for at least a little during our lives. So I cannot blame the two for traces. But I don't really know what these traces are. If we leave Edip&Layth's (that is probably based on "The Monotheistic Translation&quot The Monotheistic Translation is maybe the best translation (English) I've ever read. I usually compare while reading (in 8-10 translations, most of them in Turkish) to see other aspects and true meaning of ayah, and Layth's translation is look and feel different than most. But that's my opinion.

What's interesting is, in this ayah "Edip Yuksel's Turkish" translation contradicts with Monotheistic and even Layth&Edip translation, if I don't get it wrong. But note that I don't know the E. Yuksel's Turkish translation's publish date, maybe he did change it.

As you can see in translations, Layth's meaning is vastly different for me.

They slept little in the night, (5117, Ahmed Ali)

They used to rarely sleep the whole night. (5117, Edip Y?ksel & Layth)

Is it just the same? Maybe I have some problems in understanding grammar.
Layth's meaning is like, they sleep but not whole night all the time. The other one is they sleep "little" in night.

If Layth's meaning is like this "They used to rarely sleep in the whole night." than I can clearly understand it. But maybe it's just my problem.

Ayah's meaning i vastly different than most. Don't get me wrong, I'm okay with that. But I don't get how did translator (is it Layth?) did translate it this way. Can somebody provide the linguistic explanation?
