Hi, im a 49 year old woman, when i was 35 years old i started to do salat
and after my salat usually siting in silent and repeat god's name and one day i came to the point i like this portion of my pray more than the actual pray then every day i was looking for this section of my pray and every day i start to do this more in complete silent just like meditation then one day really i felt the present of god and unity with god then i decided instead salat do only meditation you dont have to say a few words in arabic which ou dont understand even though i know the meaning in my lanaguage i could not concentrate then i dicided to do only meditation and i felt a lot closer to god and after i find out about this site and other site i find out you can pray anyway you like just like meditation or even reading any verse from quran in any way you like, that's how i find god.
