Wow, how silly can humans get ?!?! You have access to all the information youw ant yet you 're still stucked in mythology. Pseudo-science you say hahahahahahahahahaahha, look who's talking bro. Ishmaelites, Nephilim, you serious ???

This is not about thinking differently, this is about hard facts. Go learn population genetics and come back to me, I promise it will be helpful, nothing to do with the government lol. You can even have DNA tests yourself and many people can use your raw data to help you understand. I'll give you a good way to begin start reading about uniparental lineages Y-DNA and mtDNA

The problem with both Y-DNA and mtDNA tests is that they do not take into consideration of say your great great great grandmother on your father's side or great great great grandfather on your mother's side so these DNA lineages don't really say much in the end.

I think the design looks really awesome! O0

It might be hard to get used to at first because we are used to the old design. Some suggestions/improvements came to my mind )

Remove the white-lines/white rectangle thingy that seperate post since I'd say it doesn't fit in. ) Instead add some padding/margin. The line appears on other pages too I think.
The orange dropbutton that says "Profile Info" at the profile could be edited a bit. I think it still looks similar to the one used in the old design but it's probaly because of teh same color. I liked the added hover effect on it though.
When I enter my messages and click on a title in my message box it redirects me to the homepage instead of scrolling down to the message.

I've never tried a ketogenic diet but reading about it I'd say go with a normal one instead. Many years ago I used to try all kind of diets (although not a ketogenic diet) and I came to the conclusion that what works for others might not work for you. I think a ketogenic diet would have some advantages and disadvantages and might not work for everybody but I could be wrong. The main reason I would suggest a normal diet is because with a ketogenic (hence low-carb) diet means you're more likely to eat less fruits and vegetables and those foods are one of the important foods ever which is why ketogenic diet might not be a good idea. With a ketogenic diet you're also more likely to eat things like processed food such as red meat etc which is another reason to why it might not be a good idea. Avoid junk food too (you don't need to avoid it completely if it's hard but at least reduce it a lot). I know that depression for example can make people carve for junk food but it is what actually does contribute to depression and reducing it or removing it completely from diet would help a lot and I'm pretty sure it would help a lot against Bipolar disorder too. So to summarize I'd say eat more vegetables and fruits and supplement with things that you don't usually get from diets so much like Omega 3 (preferably the Vegan version since the non-Vegan version tend to contain mercury) and I'd say Omega 3 is quite important and could be extremly helpful, avoid junk food and do training. In the morning for example I usually eat things like oatmeal with nutritional yeast, hemp seed and cinnamon and I find that to be pretty healthy and recommend receipes like that. ) I'd also say try and get enough sleep too and avoid sleep deprivation especially if you have bipolar disorder. What I mean by sleep deprivation is if you're using the alarm clock to wake up earlier then you're sleep deprived and what you want to do instead is to sleep earlier and avoid using the alarm clock.

    https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_deprivation

"A 2001 study at the Chicago Medical Institute suggested that sleep deprivation may be linked to serious diseases, such as heart disease and mental illness including psychosis and bipolar disorder. The link between sleep deprivation and psychosis was further documented in 2007 through a study at Harvard Medical School and the University of California at Berkeley. The study revealed, using MRI scans, that sleep deprivation causes the brain to become incapable of putting an emotional event into the proper perspective and incapable of making a controlled, suitable response to the event."

Hi KTHRN my answer will maybe be different, this reminds me of a tweet that I read a year ago that was tweeted by a Sheikh (a great sheikh, check him out) that I found interesting since it offers a different perspective

    https//i.imgur.com/sG5Dhy5.png

    https//twitter.com/shaykhazhar/status/930640048105463808

My question is what would you do if you were me? I miss talking to our Maker all the time, i have no peace of mind at all. Whenever i go through hard times, it?s like i can?t just talk to my best friend.

If I had e.g bipolar I would assume that a healthier diet and exercise (e.g gym) would be highly effective against that and then try that and see if it improves. There is a study that is trying to discover whether for example exercise is effective against bipolar although it is not yet determined (but studies seem to suggest that it may be effective) but things like exercising has shown to be highly effective against depression (which is what bipolar causes) as endorphins is released into the body improving mood and it does make you feel more energized and it has a lot of other health benefits too. So if I had to suggest it would be to keep taking your medication and try an improved diet and exercise along side and see if that helps. When I had depression some time ago I'd notice that I'd feel a lot better if I was eating healthier (I'd assume vitamin deficiency would be a contributor to it) and I would feel a lot better after the gym so I would recommend that. Insh'Allah your condition will get better soon. Something we don't tend to realize is that a good diet and good overall health through training can have a large effect on our way to progress and can improve a lot for us regardless of our condition.

There is a litterature review that talks about how exercising can be effective against mood disorder

Hi Anonymous94, there used to be a similar topic here some months ago that might help you https//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9609958.0

I'd say try and talk with your parents. Being of different nationality is not a good excuse at all as it does not say anything about our character, there are good people from all nationalities. Focus on your studies and show your parents that you're serious about your studies and they might start to assume that you are not being distracted and so they might approve. Parents often assume that relationships tend to distract you from your studies which is not nessecarily true. If this doesn't work then I'd say just do well in your studies and wait until you graduate, find a job and move out because then no one is controlling your decisions anymore and no one can affect you either.

That's a useful app, thanks. It's similar to corpus but less grammar info.

No worries you're welcome. I think that site qurandev (http//qurandev.github.io/) works too but it's still in development. The website says that it can run on "PC, mobile, iPad, iPhone, Android... or offline." although I'm not sure how you install it on the Android but someone wrote something regarding it in the comment section but it was a 5 years old comment not sure if it still works now.

Does anyone know of an android app version of the corpus quran website, or an app that has similar functionality, e.g. type in verse and it displays the English/Arabic word for word and the grammar?

    Source code http//corpus.quran.com/java/download.jsp

Salam Wakas I think there's an app that sorta does what you're looking for, the app is named "Al Quran (Tafsir & By Word)".

I'm not sure if you're downloading the website properly. Are you using HTTrack ? You should be.
Otherwise, that website is actually a web app. That's why you'll probably have issues.

True. But I think what he wants to be able to do is to e.g search in his downloaded site which is a feature that wouldn't work. Anything that requires server-side code won't work. Anything that requires client-side code would.

I found this, I'm not sure if it helps you but it does use seem to support the feature corpus Qur'an uses including root searching etc although judging by the site not all of the features seem to be done yet as it's still in development. http//qurandev.github.io/

The way you install it is download the file, extract it to a folder and inside the folder open the file index.html with chrome, firefox or any other web browser and you'll be able to use it.

    Y yellowdog8272

Hi what part of the site are you trying to download? The Qur'an corpus site seems to built using Java but it's not really relevant I suppose. You can easily save any site of the Corpus Qur'an by just copying all of the source code of the site you're currently viewing (which is the front-end code) and inserting it into an .html file and the the CSS code seperately into a .css file (the design). Keep in mind you'd need to edit the html code a bit too to get the design working but the content would still be there. But if you wanted to access say the search bar to search a verse in your downloaded file you wouldn't be able to do so since you've only copied the front-end code (of the current page you're viewing) and the back-end code (which is run from the server and is triggered by the search bar) is not something you can view nor have access to. Each page has a different output too, you could just view the source code of the current page you're viewing and copy it into your own files. Let's say you wanted to access verse 11 and 12 from your downloaded site, you'd need the source code for both in two seperate .html files. So if you wanted to access all the verses you'd basically have to create that many files for each verse but you'd probaly need to write/modify some code to get it to work too. I think people have made backups for the site incase it goes down, corpus quran site is a pretty great site for learning and very popular so I'd assume they would be careful with losing the site by creating things like backups etc so it's pretty much no worries. They've also got their own API which I'm pretty sure a lot of developers have used so there should be things like softwares or websites out there that are able to use that which exists on Corpus Qur'an e.g verses etc.

  • Is it wrong to disobey parents if
    Y yellowdog8272

Talking to them about it and proving he's genuine isn't even an option. I lied and said did break up when my dad asked cause was scared. He never hit me or anything but still scary. Also lied bcs can't deal with the stress. He said if didn't break up theyre disowning me. Isn't that a big sin??

Threatning with disowning is definently inmoral but are your parents really serious about that or maybe they're saying that to scare you? Still it's wrong regardless. A lot of us Arabs have parents like that too. Damn that sucks. Very sorry to hear. I'd say wait until you move out although don't run away from home now as it might backfire later on which will only make it worse for you. Study, do well and then when you move out you'll be able to do whatever you want. You're still young so you have a lot of opportunities ahead. Don't worry so much about marriage now as you can always get married with that person later on.

  • Is it wrong to disobey parents if
    Y yellowdog8272

I agree that parents shouldn't be controlling like that.

If theyre concerned they should ask to meet him and allow us to spend time together in halal way. Instead got my car keys taken away based on false assumptions. They also doubt he's a practicing Muslim just bcs he's a revert which is hypocritical bcs they would allow me to marry a non religious Bosnian. Im actually oppressed at home and dont think it's wrong to run away. My dad will never trust me so probably best to move out and get married. InshaAllah.

Yeah it's usually common for Arab parents to do that too but it's usually because parents don't know what to expect of the person marrying their daughter or son but if they were of the same nationality then they would at least know something. I think converts are looked down on too because of the common assumption that they might leave religion easily anytime unlike people who are born into it which is probaly true and they don't have that 'Muslim culture' that many people who are born as adherents of the religion do. I don't think running away from home is a good idea though because what if that person you end up marrying turns out to be a bad individual leaving you more hurt and then you're not able to get any support from your family either? I've heard of similar stories. Unless you can deal with the outcome then it's probaly not such as good idea? Mist answer is correct that maybe disobeying parents might help as your parents might realize that they can't dictate your life anymore and will eventually stop and change their position (I know something similar happened between me and my parents) but there's no way knowing that and it might as well lead to worser scenarios. Talk with your parents and tell them that you don't feel happy about their decision, if they care a lot about you then they will support you. Personally I do think your parents are concerned and care a lot about you but they view this more differently than you do.

You're 23 years old now and you're an adult so you should have the every right to do whatever you want with your life. However I do agree with Hp_tech's questions, unless you know the answers to these questions then there's probaly not so much you can do since you might get an outcome that you can't handle in the future. But really there's no way of knowing whether a person is a genuine or not, some people could be manipulators (narcessists) whom are really dangerous to a healthy relationship. But what you can do at least is to get to know the person better etc. I'd assume that you've known this person for months? Marriage shouldn't be happening very quick as it's a huge decision. Get to know this person for a year at least maybe that's a good step?

  • 4min YouTube video: The So Called 'Moderate Muslims'
    Y yellowdog8272

Look man, I am happy you brought up this issue. I have been saying it for long that the term 'moderate Muslim' is a polluted term. It was coined to differentiate terrorist Muslims from non-terrorist Muslims. The original meaning of moderate Muslim is one that does not approve terrorist activities like Boko Haram, ISIS or other factions that employ violence to establish sharia.
By virtue of this definition, one can be a moderate Muslim whilst still holding radical views like amputation for theft, killing apostates, holding female testimonies to be worth half of males, stoning adulterers e.t.c. As long as such a Muslim deny terrorism.

Unfortunately, ignorant leftists who can't differentiate violent extremism from non violent extremism interchange the term with liberal/reformist Muslims who seek an alternative and more realistic interpretation of Qur'an from what is dictated by the clergy.

No I don't think so. If anything the West has been actively supporting terrorist groups itself and is still doing it today.

To me I've seen the term 'moderate' Muslim being thrown at Muslims who have to agree with the West on everything in politics (if not most), basically becoming similar to Western apologists. Let's say you're a Muslim and you disapprove of the US invasion of Iraq or you oppose Israel then you're considered a 'extremist' Muslim regardless of how non-religious or secular you are. You basically can't disagree with others in the West on anything without being refered to as an 'extremist' by the media or others.

Of course the rightists disapprove Muslims but they don't have the problem we are discussing. They know that the term moderate Muslim is an oxymoron and the so called moderate Muslims hold non-violent extremist views that contradict western ideals. For this reasons, the rightists unlike the leftists don't believe that the moderate Muslims can assimilate and integrate in western culture.

As much as I hate the rightist, I disapprove their methodology but respect their motive; mainly protection of their culture and values. Is that any different from moderate Muslims' protection and propagation of Sharia?

What is this 'Western ideals' you're talking about? Are you aware that right-wingers in Europe don't attack Islam because they consider it inferior in terms of ethics and morals but rather because Islam is a foreign religion that originated from Arabia? It's not really about 'protecting' their culture as they say, it's because they can't stand the fact that a foreign religion that is growing exists in the West. Islam has the right to exist in the West just like any other religion does.

If anything Islam is actually superior to their 'values' because Islam teaches peace and tolerance.

Really? By throwing acid at muslims? http//www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/east-london-acid-attacks-muslim-resham-khan-jameel-muhktar-south-asian-residents-race-hate-crimes-a7821701.html

Sick. brickwall I read about this some time ago. I hope the victims are okay and I hope that criminal behind the acid attack gets to rot in jail.

That is not protection, that is terrorism and the biased media in the West are not calling it terrorism.

    Totally agree with you.

I didin't really think it was Kaoikenred (or whatever weird username he has) until I checked his profile and I too get redirected to that anime page but reading the source code his profile says he was last online 5 years ago? You'd think he would at least be online recently if he was behind it? I remember checking his profile many months ago and I didin't get redirected to that page then? I see his profile img (a gif) is being hosted by/loaded from that webpage (henshinjustice or whatever it's called) which could explain why that error is coming up when you visit his profile. When you visit the page called henshinjustice you get that pishing warning from Google so it's kinda being led to his profile too as he's loading the image from that site. There's a thread on that webpage started by some guys regarding how the Forum is getting the deceptive site warning thing from Google

But this doesn't explain why you're getting that error reel. What topic is it that you're visiting in the url? And has Kaoikenred written a post in that topic? Then that could explain why the error is showing up. Check other topics Kaoikenred has written in and see if that error comes up. Anyway if it's indeed Kaoikenred then a way to solve this error I'd say is to remove his profile picture he's using as it's being loaded from that page and bringing the warning along with it.

've heard of those...they are great. But how will muslim feminists ever get support when there are people like a Submitter who don't want to accept the unfairness probably because they have never faced it. I don't blame him....feminism has been warped. But that doesn't mean he ignores the real problems women face and not want to help them. I thought this forum would be different with open minded people....but sadly I see it's not. It's very depressing.

No one is ignoring any issues and A Submitter's opinions definently does not represent anyone else's opinions. If you read his posts you'll see that there are many who disagree with him on plenty of topics. And there's a lot of open minded people on the Forum and some that have written good articles that you might agree with.

I know that ...but I don't understand. Why are some of the countries with the worst human rights and women rights violations muslim? I've lived in many muslim countries....I've seen it with my own eyes. It's been so painful for me and it's made me distant from faith because of all the unfairness to women. Why are they so patriarchal when thats not what Allah wanted? Why aren't muslims doing anything to help their women and the people around them?

It's not religion that's behind it and every 'Muslim' country definently does not practise Islam at all. I don't know so much about other countries but in Syria there's a Ba'athist state that's known for oppressing women and doesn't really have any religion since it's actually considered secular. Point is you can't really judge Islam based on what the 'Muslim' countries since those countries don't really care about Islam at all nor do they have anything to do with the religion. They have a long list of human right violations and all of these human rights violations go against Islam. I agree with hawk99's response. It's not fair to take it out on Islam. Islam is about equality and Muslims definently don't oppress.

Feminism is a false system which can't go hand in hand with the system of God. Feminism is an oppressive system. While they say they strive for gender equality, it's not the truth. If it was, it would be called egalitarianism.

How about the system of God instead of man-made systems like feminism, democracy, dictatorship, egalitarianism, the Right, the Left?
This is throughout the Quran; the system of God! Yet we seek other systems...
The system of God does NOT allow oppression of any gender. It's the other systems that are false, and believe me, feminism is another oppressive system full of lies and promises.

    The problem?
No nation today exists with the system of God. All are corrupt.

    Salam

You should really read up on the definition of feminism because it's pretty clear that you don't even seem to know what it means.

    http//www.dictionary.com/browse/feminism

"the doctrine advocating social, political, and all other rights of women equal to those of men."

Are you saying that one cannot be a Muslim and advocate for equal rights for women? Instead of saying this and that is false, evil etc etc you really need to argue why, it's pretty much like the majority of your posts were you tend to state certain things are wrong or evil without any actual arguments. You might want to read this afterwards https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feminist_effects_on_society

    Salam,

    1. First; a feminist perspective is a problem. Stop being a feminist. It's just another fake system, and truthfully you should be a monotheist and not a feminist. In case you haven't been to the West, feminism is a plague here, and frankly, it's hard to find real women because all feminists are self-entitled men-like creatures. So I won't view this through a feminist perspective.

Why is it a problem? The impression I get from your post is that you don't really seem to know what feminism means. I think it's quite inaccurate to draw a conclusion on what feminist is based on feminism in the West not that one in the West is bad either especially since it did historically improve Europe by a lot. In the West it's usually right-wingers who create hatred towards feminism because right-wingers hate equal rights, anti-facism, and anti-racism and anything that opposes their ideology. Feminism often leans towards the left too so that's why right-wingers tend to bash it and sure there are some crazy feminists but doesn't mean that you can draw the conclusion that a feminist perspective is a problem. In the Middle East there is feminism on the rise (it's becoming quite popular) and it's improving the region, especially in the Kurdish, Arab and Assyrian factions in Syria, one of these groups is known as the YPJ which is fighting against terrorist groups like ISIS.
