There is a Quran only mosque in my city of Phoenix, Alhamdulillah. Granted it's one generous brother who uses part of his factory as a place of worship. And you will find maximum 10-15 people in there max at any given time. But he had the courage and drive to start it. I guarantee you, there are other Quran Alone Muslims in most of your cities. It just takes one person to organize and start the process. As for how we pray... Different people have different methods and beliefs but no one judges each other because Quran promotes critical thinking. Alhamdulilah, that is nice to know there are such places of worship. Unfortunately for the most of us, such Mosques are not in our area or simply do not exist and now going to Mosque and worshipping or performing salat like according to Quran, people there will judge and tell you that you are "doing it wrong" etc. I do wish that all Mosques could accept that everyone could have a different way of performing salat. @Colorabo you said you were a free mason before, please excuse my ignorance but what does that entail?

That's true. The question is WHO are the Children of Israel, and where are they now? DNA wise, my bet is that Assumption 3500 years has passed since the first "Israel" ~ 100 generations Every generation has (on average) 2 children 2^100 = 1,267,650,600,228,230,000,000,000,000,000 Nearly EVERYONE living today is a children of Israel... Which reminds me of the question "Where are the Neanderthal now?". And the answer is pretty much the same they have become US. If you think the descendants of the Khazars, who came from Poland, Lituhania, Hungary, Russia and the Ukraine are the "Bani Isra'eel" mentioned in the Scriptures, then I'm afraid you have been gravely misled, Well they might not be mistaken at all, given the above calculation, the Khazars might be indeed "Children Of Israel". Yet so does the today "Palestinians", "Arabs", "Armenians", "Turks", "French", "Italians", "Persians" etc... Imagine this scenario A league of Philippinos embrace Islam, declare that they are therefore of the "Quraysh" clan, and launch an armed invasion of the Arabian Penninsula, claiming that it is their promised land. By the EXACT SAME logic, a bunch of Khazari (Eastern Europeans) embraced Judaism, declared themselves as descendants of Biblical Israelites, and decided to annex Palestine as a result. One thing for sore, the hypothetical Phillipinos and the Khazari above apparently are not too smart. Island of Philippines is much much greener and beautiful land compared to Arabian peninsula. Just like Ukraine, Georgia and southern Russia is much much greener and beautiful land compared to Canaan. In any case, I don't like Identity politics, it's short-sighted and misleading... Identity politics always tries to build up a (vague) unity by enticing hatred towards one common enemy (which is another identity). The "Jews", "Juden", "Judeans" are definitely among the victim of that, starting from Rome, Caliphates, Espana, Anglo-Saxon, Nazis/Facism, Arab Nationalism etc.. Sadly in return they employ and embrace the same strategy and get caught up in this mess of Identity Politics... The reason why the so-called "Jewish Immigrant" are being expelled out from Europe / Middle East to Canaan (today's Israel/Palestine) is because they were being expelled / cast out by Europeans and Middle Easterners. They've been stripped out from their assets (homes, business) and sent out to foreign land.. http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_question http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_exodus_from_Arab_and_Muslim_countries Persian jews on the other hand doesn't even bother to 'migrate', because everything is fine and dandy for them there... The most important thing is actually how should we move forward and amend this mess? Abandoning sectarian / identity politics might be a good start.. Salam / Peace

My question is, what is this type of mockery Allah is mentioning? Can this even branch to the type of mockery we witness on stand up comedy? Even though people are joking, and know it is for the sake of fun, is this type of playing/teasing/doing impressions of others still forbidden? Peace Before looking into the the types of mockery, let us see what is mock, mocking, mockery... To mock is to ridicule, jeer at, sneer at, deride, scorn, make fun of, laugh at, scoff at, tease, taunt, informal josh, rag on, and so on. Hence there cannot be any type of mockery that Allah allows us to derail one's Peace -Salam, which doesn't befit a believer to become a Muslim- The Way to Islam(Salam) A human with self respect and dignity would try not mocking at self or others, 3948 And the sinful works they had earned will be shown to them, and they will be surrounded by that which they used to mock. 982 Let them laugh a little, and cry a lot, a recompense for what they have earned.

Actually, I'm confused between these two books here on the Indian store. One is paperback and the other is hardcover...but the hardcover is 484 pages and the paperback is 451 pages (or so it mentions on the site).....they can't be the same books in that case. But ISBN numbers of both the books match with what is at Amazon...and on Amazon they are both listed to have 484 pages. brickwall http//www.infibeam.com/Books/info/monotheist-group/message-translation-glorious-qur/9780979671524.html?trackId=india_bookstore http//www.infibeam.com/Books/info/Monotheist-Group/The-Message-A-Pure-and-Literal-Translation/097967154X.html?trackId=india_bookstore Any help would be really appreciated.... yay

Salam, just trying to break down your post Asking about that particular website Doubt over aspects of faith Seeking reassurance I have to assume points 2 and 3 are based on point 1, the title of your thread. Taking a look at the website itself, while much of the content of articles (some sourced from elsewhere) seems sound, the way it is written and the way it is formatted sets off an alarm bell. Be wary of any website that uses heavy use of alternatively coloured text (that site for example, uses orange, blue, purple, red, black, brown and green on its front page alone), in many cases this is done as a distraction to take your attention away from the wording of the text itself, and then formatted with italics, bold, underline as well. It also needs to be said that the website harbours an obvious agenda, one that you have to at least be aware of when reading its content, that way you can choose to filter it out in your mind. I go by the theory that if you have to break down an article that hard in order to get to its core content, then the author probably does not have full command of the knowledge involved in that topic to simplify it into its base concepts, and then this leads to a breakdown of information transfer. God knows what half of that website is on about, because most of it seems like unnecessary fluff. Was there any articles in particular that you felt troubled you, or makes you question certain concepts? Hello @Mikebloke I quite like your post. I didn't say hidden, I said obvious P. Coloured text in this format is a distraction technique, it doesn't break pages very well either. Sorry if my comments were harsh, but I stand by them regardless. I respect your conviction to stand by your opinions.

https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/When_God_Writes_Your_Love_Story The book is divided into five sections and sixteen chapters. Each chapter is written from the perspective of one of the two authors; nine are by Eric, while Leslie wrote seven, as well as the introduction. The Ludys argue that one's love life should be both guided by and subordinate to one's relationship with God. Leslie writes that God offers new beginnings to formerly unchaste or sexually abused individuals. Eric and Leslie Ludy met when he was 21 and she was 16. They pursued a friendship for several months before starting to court, and married in December 1994, the same month that Eric turned 24. In When God Writes Your Love Story, the Ludys advise single people not to be physically or emotionally intimate with others, but to wait for the life partner that God has planned for them; the Ludys suggest that one should marry this person rather than independently choosing a mate. Also focusing on premarital physical and emotional purity, the authors do not discuss the physical processes of sexual activity. This man studied 20,000 of THE most successful people on the planet. Peace hawk99 I did not make an offer as I am not in a position to do so, I only suggested, as you said earlierI do not speak Arabic, but use translations, and dictionaries for my understanding of Quran, My advice to you was; Not to be under the influence of a translations or dictionaries instead; learn the meanings of the letters in Arabic, that is the only way to have direct access to the Qur'aan. Now I say to you in reply to your this post today using Shakespeare's famous quote; It's your choice to bi or not to bi Every faith knows that they must aim for 'bi' Hindu's call it 'bima'(bema) In the Old Testament the word miqdas ..." implying a distinction between space that is "sacred" versus "profane"" commonly refers to the worship "sanctuary. Muslims use same word, its called bayat-ul- miqdas/ bayat-ul-llaah. we say bi-si-millaah ALLAAH has given us freewill/ choice to go to bi Or ( look at letter O which is circle point back to or about turn) Not to bi = profane Peace salaam all More information on The Bema, Bima or Bimah bi In Eastern Christianity bema remains the name of the platform which composes the sanctuary The bema became a standard fixture in Jewish synagogues (see bemah) from which a selection ("parashah&quot from the Torah and the Haftarah are read. In Orthodox Judaism, the bema is located in the center of the synagogue, separate from the Ark. In other branches of Judaism, the bema and the Ark are joined together bi A sanctuary, in its original meaning, is a sacred place, such as a shrine. By the use of such places as a safe haven, by extension the term has come to be used for any place of safety. This secondary use can be categorized into human sanctuary, a safe place for humans, such as a political sanctuary; and non-human sanctuary, such as an animal or plant sanctuary In the Old Testament the word miqdas ..." implying a distinction between space that is "sacred" versus "profane"" commonly refers to the worship "sanctuary. Muslims use similar word, it's called bayat-ul- muqadas, bayat-ul-llaah, Bait ul Haram-the honorable house bi Hindu ash?ram a place of privacy; a place affording peace and quiet ashram - a place of religious retreat for Hindus salaam

Move not your tongue with it, , to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. Indeed, upon Us is its collection and its recitation. So when We have recited it, then follow its recitation. Then upon Us is its clarification. (<a href="http//quran.com/75/17-19">7517-19</a>)

Selam Jafar, A question and that is why would God bother telling us about dress code anyway? People all over the world already are dressing according to their customs...so it's nothing new. Why are there verses in the Quran, according to you that tell us dress as you would normally dress in the environment in which you are living? It doesn't make sense..unless you have a very good explanation for this? Also are you ignoring the ayat which specifically ask women to cevr their chest?

@ Wania if you are truly ready to become a true submitter then you shouldnt ask what does the Quran and Hadith say it is what does the Quran say and what can I deduce from my reason. If someone told you that the Quran supports terrorism would you then become a terrorist or neglect islam completely . All the "philias " you mentioned are wrong and harmful and shameful so you must know that such cannot be in the Quran tour job then is not to find out whether the Quran accepts it or not but to find ways to refute it from the Quran .Some Sunnis are really sick people better to stay away from them altogether but no hate. Peace

My belief is that it is not the label but the principles as Rashad Khalifa said You can be a muslim submitter, christian submitter, jewish submitter or even Hindu and deist Submitter the important thing is that we agree on the same Principles and Reza Aslan is very intelligent but then he claims to be A Sufi and Sunni muslims wont take him seriously. I think all of us whether liberal or quranists must ally ourselves with thosse who share our ideals and unify ourselves against the evil of Sunni Islam(not sunni muslims).

@Aaleeyah. You really need to read about what exactly ISlam following the Quarn-alone is about. NO offense i think you are still stuck between choosing true-islam and the practices of Sunnis and Shia. I saw your post too on the question of Hijab and i think it reflected a lot of ignorance or pride(saying that you feel that the Quran tells you that you need to wear an Hijab). It is very important to know the right path and follow it fully otherwise its all in vain. All submitters must submit to certain principles without fail but the applications and minor details may differ. Please I suggest you read The Quran a Reformist Translation,(BY Edip Yuksel, the full text including Index and References and explanations(please its very im[portant), The Criminals of Islam by Shabbir Ahmed, Hashish From Qadian(Humor), They ask you about the Veil By Ahmed Subbhy mansour, Islam A challenge to Religion by GA Parwez, The Natural Rebublic(On this site) and other books written by Notable Quraniyoon. Thank you. Peace

I only have a Muslim friend who helps and supports me (Sunni Muslim). It's incredibly lonely. The other Muslim my friends have left me. It is difficult to practice Islam when I have so few Muslim friends, but I try as best I can. Crying just thinking about this. The only thing that helps the sadness is to listen to the Quran. I am afraid that I shall be apostate Muslim eventually if nobody supports me. Islam is in my heart, but without Muslims is difficult '( I thought Islam just means being peaceful - If i want friiend, well- http//www.wikihow.com/Make-Friends peace

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in United States -- Muslim 0..6% Australia -- Muslim 1.5% Canada -- Muslim 1.9% China -- Muslim 1.8% Italy -- Muslim 1.5% Norway -- Muslim 1.8% Funny how he tries to claim this but is not the case at all, this is only true in Canada, perhaps Norway too. In China, Muslims can't even fast and in most areas aren't even allowed to pray, mosque or not. In Italy, Australia and United States there is a constant mistrust of Muslims, usually being linked with immigration. Many Conservatives, including Chuck Norris, actually believe Sharia law is being implemented in its 'fullest' form in some areas of the States, and this has led to some States even going as far as blocking both it and international law in legal code. by redefining the criteria of Muslim Scholars and Pillars of Islam Its even simpler than that, people just need to understand that both religious 'Scholars' and these so called Pillars are human inventions, cheap lazy recognisable aspects which casual followers can adhere to in order to make themselves feel better. We don't need Scholars to read the Quran for us, and we don't need a small list of really basic Fard actions to tell us what commands we really need to be following.
