Since a man's chest is sexual, can we please also cover up female's hair, legs, arms, face, etc, etc, etc.
I'm saying this in the nicest possible way, but can we have some common sense here. Every single human being on the face of the planet, has a fetish. some women love muscular arms on a man, some men love long legs on a woman, and there are countless other examples. Are we (men and women) to walk around covered from top to bottom?
There are quite clearly certain parts of the body which are in direct relation to sex. A man's chest is not one of them.

Then as I said before people should cover up from head to toe.
As far as the animal species is concerned, our closest 'relatives', the ape family, their females do not have the same busty appearance that our females do. Instead you'll find that female apes have busty bums, this is an attraction tool for male apes, as that is the position in which apes reproduce.
Whereas it has been many a time stipulated that the very reason that female humans are busty on the chest is as an attraction tool, because we humans do it from the front.
Keep in mind that female apes feed their young with their breasts, so reasoning that the breast is busty because of feeding is false (as female apes do not have busty breasts).

I think people are attracted to many physical parts of another person, whether it is of the same sex or not and do not admit it. That is a fault in my opinion. The attraction part I do not think is bad, but the control problems is the thing more important to me. I've no qualms with people who choose to be naked, especially if the enviroment is nice for it. A naked girl will probably turn me on just as much as a clothed woman, whether she is covered from head to foot or wearing a bikini or shorts and shirt.
The thing is, it's almost impossible in my opinion to hide one's sexual appeal. People are sexual creatures and sex and being sexy is not bad. The things most disconcerting is the people who lack discipline, that same which is shown lacking in one's pursuit of money, the gluttony, lazy, lies (white lies included).

It depends on the interpretation of "private part" if the mans chest must be covered.. though why would someone think sexually of a man doing hajj? That just sounds wrong.
and as Joe said, people are attracted to different and various things of the human body.. so even if it isn't a rude part you might be attracted to it..

i heard some men say that women should pray in the back at mosques otherwise men would be distracted and turned on. but wouldn't women also be distraced with men in front of them?
and i don't care what alen or esimsek100 say, women are turned on by a man's chest. i just don't understand why it's accepted (of all places in soudi arabia) that men can walk topless and women can't. why doesn't anyone say anything?

When we are in Kaaba having in mind that we are infront of the almighty, Staring at one anothers chest or Butts with sexual purpose doesn't make any sense.
But the question raised why men are allowed to roam around topless if women don't?

My opinion about this is that we shall all both male and females low down our gaze and that says also Quran.
And this can means that the first gaze is innocent but if you want to take a second gaze it can lead to lack of discipline and thefore the advice of low down your gaze for both of the gender.
This about covering womens breast is natural for me because we women always coming in trouble with our breasts, we compare it with other women and we can be jealous if someone have more beautiful breasts than we have ourself.
And I think that male should also cover their chests in public if they want to be modest and God like the modest one. But it seems like God knows that males are more weak in that regard of being disciplined when watching a female who revail too much of herself. Therefore He advice the women to cover themselves up more than the males for our own good of course.
This is anyway only recommendations and we dress how we like to dress. And it's our owns rights to behave in a way that we feel safe in public. And I think we all feels when it's time to dress more and when it's Ok to dress less.

Your "manly breasts and chest hair" is not public and that's all. Whether it is good or not i don't know but that decision i will leave to the appropriate person.Man has no need to watch or look at other men's chest.
Man is usually attracted to observe woman's chest and therefore told to gaze down.Peace.

My answer is to just keep in mind that The Exalted GOD Almighty has much better reward for a human being then just temporarily soft and pretty skin of these women and their beauty lasts less then 20 years while a true believer can get a TRULY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN in Paradise just by obeying The Quran.

peace lkFirsdt of all i apologize if i have insulted women, i'm sorry but apparently we misunderstood each other. When i said that a beauty lasts for 20 years i was merely speaking form a man's point of view. As we all know, certain men are only interested in women who are beautiful on the outside.
As soon as the woman reaches the age 40 or even 35, certain men lose interest, certain men seem to be only interested only in young women, little do they know thatbeauty as so many things don't last.Speaking from as a human, all humans are beautiful, men and women, The Exalted GOD Almighty has created us beautiful and we all remember that when someone is born, there are at least two people who will say that the baby is beautiful, namely - the parents. And others too of course.
But speaking as a man, i have noticed that my "friends" here are only interested in younger-then-them girls because it gives them some "power" to dominate and control them. Some men may even be intimidated by older women.
I'm not saying that women above 20 are not beautiful. Women are beautiful. Period. I'm sure that any man would be more then willing to spend 30 minutes talking to Susan Sarandon, Hilary Clinton or late Diane Spencer then three weeks with Britney Spears or Paris Hilton. Both of them are beautiful but their attitudes kill their beauty.

Even when men walk around bare chested, women want to see intelligence and not skin and hair. Correct?
I mean, i approach this subject from my point of view when i see a woman, i try to see the intlligence from her attitude, behavior, eyes and acts.If a person is not dressed .... the right way, it probably means that person needs or wants attention, correct?
Why do men pump iron? To show the muscles not to cover them.
