Is theocracy only enforced in "Muslim" countries around the world these days?

        Peace be upon you,

theocracy Rule by religion. A government that is based on theistic beliefs.

my question was is theocracy only implemented in Muslim countries, or is there any non-muslim country out there that has implemented theocracy? )

                    Salam.

Belgium, UK, .... they're kingdoms, right?
                    Can someone first define theocracy?
Because if UK is a theocracy, then i love it.
If Iran is theocracy, then i don't.
                    Why?
Well, let's start with veil and end up with stoning.

                    Peace.

                      peace Alen,
A theocracy is a religious government. The United Kingdom isn't really a kingdom, it's a democracy. The Queen has no power. In Iran, it's the Imams who make the laws based on religion (sharia), that is a democracy.

I was told by my Iranian friend that if you're gay, they throw you off a mountain. Well, they leave the jews alone but if you're a muslim and gay, you're dead.

                          peace,

can anyone give me examples of when the "Dhimmitude system" has been implemented in Islamic countries both past and present.

                          Thanks

I dont think dhimmitude exist anymore today. In the past it varied from place to place depending on the rulers and the political condition.

Yes, it still does in a mild form, Iran for instance.

many Muslim countries to some extent treat non-Muslim's unfairly. How does Iran treat it's non-muslim citizens OPF?

I mean a full blown dhimmitude system where non-Muslim's have to pay higher taxes and are given an inferior status, can someone give me a few past examples of them?

Of course it was crude (apologies for that), but they (their governments) are corrupted to the hilt. By the way, it wasn't an argument.

Ive heard that Iran treats the Jews nice, even with the anti-Zionism that they promote. Theres even Jews there that support it. I read it on a Yahoo article and seen some vids on it. Iran doesnt have a problem with the Jews, just Zionism.

No Muslim should have problem with jews, we only have a problem with the state of israel, which is promoted by irreligious "reform" jews. the orthodox jews want to mind their own business and go to their yeshivas in peace.
