Alen, My Story - Part 4.
-
Life on the edge must be sweet, though seemingly aimless.
From the times I have been out of the protective cocoon of secure accomodation and food, it's been a learning experience.Salam.
On the edge?
You're mistaken. And by the way - my life is not aimless.
I have a goal and i'm a freaking missile heading towards bull's eye.
Peace.
-
Seemingly aimless
I.e. drifting between houses, states of mind, living conditions, etc. I know of many such people, but they aren't Muslim.
And though it is not "on the edge" per se, it is hardly "normal".
-
Peace,
Wow wow wow!!!!
Alen, you amaze me, I can't help it
I hope that God almighty always make your wish comes true.
Peace
Maria

- I got threatned by two wahabis.
- They wanted me to marry some Somali girl during my stay in London.
Wait, what?
I... don't quite get this part.
-
Wait, what?
I... don't quite get this part.Salam.
When wahabis threatned me, it had nothing to do with marriage, they just hate shias so one thought i was a shia and said he would kill me. He said this in the middle of the sunny day at the Regent's park and the other just hates me because i wanna make movies and help the poor.
One guy suggested that i should marry a girl so that i would get free studio flat, UK passport and stuff. I mean, the whole thing sounds like Ned & Stacey, right?
These guys in London, sunnis and wahabis, agree on this it's better to be poor and sleep in the park then help people in any way. I asked a guy if i could crash at his place because i ran out of money and he said, no way, i don't want you to see my wife, who is by the way covered in niqab.
There was one guy who took me under his roof for 3 weeks and said all we do here is talk about Islam, we don;t watch tv at all. Later i would find out that they all watch tv and they lied when they said they talk only about Islam they were talking about me behind my back, i caught them, later that guy who was talking about me behind my back says, we are not like them, we don't talk about you behind your back. I caught him lying i was at the London Central Mosque in the library and looking through the window i spotted him and two other guys and i was the subjet of their conversation!
One guy thought i was a traitor because i wanted to buy groceries at the place where the guy might be a shia.
Am i wasting time talking about them?
Sorry.Anyway, i was learning, i'm still learning and i think i'm gonna learn some more. Only The God knows what awaits for me in the future, if there is future for me but i have a feeling my next step will be tough and therefore different.
Peace.

Alen, there are a lot of uneducated folks in London, don't let these fools throw you off the right track (which you clearly are on).
-
Alen
The woman wears niqab, but definitely does not wear it when she is alone with her family. If you move in with them, she will be wearing it 24/24. I think the husband has a point. Even if she doesn't wear a niqab, it is not comfortable to have a stranger male in the house.
The other man took you for three weeks...this is not something to ignore. As for marrying a woman (why do you have to say she was a Somali?), that was their way to help. I do not think that it would have been a bad idea, considering your situation, except if you are already committed.
Try to look at the good side of people. They could have left you to the street. As for killing you, it is just absurd. Have they killed anybody before? The city is full of "christians" "shia's", "jews", "sikhs", "hindus"...why you?
Try not to be self centred and do not blame people for not helping you.
This is one of the safest and most fair countries, and one with abundant job opportunities. Try to do the most of it. Thank God you do not need a stay permit nor a work permit.

I'm not ignoring the fact that the friend took me in for 3 weeks, i'm grateful to The God that i have such a friend, really, i am.
I don't know her name, that's why i said she is Somali, because that's how they kept calling her, they didn't even tell me her name, i did see her once but they never told me her name. But i could never marry anyone for the wrong reasons, besides, i'm already taken, alhamdilAllah, alhamdilAllah, i have found my soulmate, alhamdilAllah.
The guy that htreatned to kill me, his name is Adnan Kadrovic, has fought Serbs during Bosnia war, so i believe he is capable of taking a life, after all, he has no problems killing wrong-believers, why would he think twice killing someone who disagrees with him over sunna and hadith? I had several discussions with Adnan and i have noticed he wants to lead the conversation, he talks at me, he wants to win every argument, he wants to have the last word. But i will take your word.
Adnan's friend, Moustaffa, did not believe me when i said i was a Muslim, i told them my name and after they heard my accent, they simply concluded i'm an American, i had to lift my shirt to show them i'm not wired and also recite Al-Fatiha to prove something .... i don't know what.
This Mustaffa guy already has problems with the police and i have been told he is in the house arrest so he might be dangerous. I have never seen him again after that night when i had to recited Al-Fatiha to both of them.
On the night i met Adnan and Moustaffa for the 1. time, when i proved to them i don't wear a wire, they asked me when did i come, what's my business in UK and after i told them i wanna direct a movie and that i'm a writer, the immediately quoted the hadeeth where, in Moustaffa's words, God will ask those people who make pictures to bring to life what they did and they won't be able to do so.
Now, i could argue with him all night that God would never ask from a human to do something a human can't but i had no time nor nerves to argue with a man who looks like one of the guys from the East, both of them wear long beards.I don't blame people for not helping me, i wonder at the time we have arrived. A while back my father would help total strangers and my mother also and after they saw that people are not like them, they stopped with the whole help thing and that's why i think they have become what they are now.
I love my parents as any other person but they are angry and i know why, i understand them but i won't be like them, i'll be better then them, i'll make different decisions, God willing.
I'm grateful to God that i have you as my friends, especially Samia. Next time, lunch is on me. handshake
God willing.
Peace.

wow great story Alen!

Is Amanda your soulmate?Salam.
I hope you will understand but i must ask you to stay patient and i will answer your questions.
Thanks for understanding. If i succeed, God willing, i will not only write an autobiography, i will direct a movie about my life and stuff that happened, God willing.
Thanks for support.
Peace.

Anyway, i was learning, i'm still learning and i think i'm gonna learn some more. Only The God knows what awaits for me in the future, if there is future for me but i have a feeling my next step will be tough and therefore different.
bravo
There are no mistakes. There are no wrong situations. There are only opportunities to learn!
And excellent points Sis Samia makes as well. It's effective to see the good in all!

why? confused
Salam.
Maybe because i slept in the regent's Park one night and when i heard some large animal moaning i thought, no way, if this is Loch Ness Monster, she will have to go somewhere else, because i'm in no mood for a fight. peace
But then i remembered there's a ZOO in the Regent's Park and those were the lions. rotflMaybe because one sunni wanted me dead because i wanna make friedns with shia and said i was just joking and he then gave me the look that said"One more joke, you'll be swimming with those ducks in the park." &
Maybe because the general director on our first meeting first asked me"When did you convert?" What The Hell does he think, that Muslims only come from Makkah!? > > > > >
Maybe because the imam's Ali secretary asked me three times if i was a Muslim because she just can't swallow the fact that a Muslim exists with a name Alen, American accent, who is also a Slovenian citizen? Also, she has never heard of Slovenia, can't prounounce the word Slovenia, keeps saying Slovakia and keeps yelling at me that i'm yelling at her. She has this weird habit her office is opposite of the imam Ali's and yet these two characters speak to each other over the phone. ??? How lazy can a person get? ??? ???
Maybe because the London Central Mosque has such strict rules that you cannot stay there over night, even if you have no place to stay and then when the security guard called the cops, who are by the way very nice and soft, arrested one guy and took him out in cuffs?
Maybe because the certain people who come to pray only shake hands, make eye contact and talk to their own, they ignore the others and treat them as non-believer, wrong-believers? This one guy doesn't say salamu alaykum to everyone, just his own. One time there were four of us sitting in a circle and he comes along and shakes hands and says salam only to two guys who are from his country and me and another guy are sitting there and holding hands and nothing. He doesn't even make eye contact but he does pray in the first row every single prayer. group
Maybe because the security guard has strict instructions from a general director, who acts like a pharaoh, i saw it, that he must not allow certain women into the mosque because they might beg from people and find mercy and get food or cash? So what if they carry their kids? So what if they beg? They are people. Well, security guards say they are not Muslims so they canno beg in this mosque. > ??? -[ '( confused hypno nope & hmm wow
There's more.
Later, when Adnan's friend, valeed offered me a place to stay in his room for a week, i saw something else. I saw how some people can be not only brainwashed but how they like being brainwashed.
Also the guy in the building i was staying commited suicide.
Whenever i say we need to open our own business, they would be against it. Who? Everyone i encountered. They just like the fact that this country is paying their life expenses.
I'll be back with some more info.
InshaAllah.Peace.

the mosque is not a hostel, those are not strict rules, its standard practice, you will find that in all mosques in the UK.

people don't usually talk to people they don't know, and the mosque is not a social club.

The mosque is not a day care center either.... and you can't compare that guy to the pharaoh

in what way is he brainwashed?

1 in 3 business fail, its too risky imo

You're absolutely right, the mosque is not a hostel, hotel, motel or bned and breakfast. It's a place where people meet, make friends, pray, eat, .... right or wrong?
The reason i compared general director of that mosque to the pharaoh, is because i saw the same attitude when i read the story from The Quran and when i was meeting him and tlaking to him - same thing.
The brainwashed person(s) likes it, they like being led, they don't wanna think too much or outside the box, they like what they know and are not interested what's "behind the mountain". He is brainwashed in a way that his knowledge is a barrier and not an advantage to him.
At least that's my opinion.
The God knows best.
Peace.

I wouldn't call that "brain washed", those people have probably never studied other religions or looked into philosophy. If you want to debate with other Muslims about following the Quran alone they have to be interested in debating with you, if they're not interested then there is nowt you can do.
Most people don't question their religious beliefs but I personally would not equate that to "brain washing". It is uncomfortable to question your beliefs, especially when you have invested so much time and energy into something that is not even true.
People question their beliefs in their own time, when they are ready and not when others want them to.
As for "thinking outside the box" well we all have a limit on that, in my "Who created Allah" thread I noticed that you clearly did not approve of the question.
If you ever do discuss ahadith the best thing to do is reccomend them a quran alone site, that way you won't be bombarded with a million and one questions.

Exactly, they never studied anything else but hadeerth and sunna, they not only did not study anything else, they don't want to study anything else and they don't want to debate it with me, they have no desire of having a dialogue, they wanna have a speech, a monologue, they want to talk at me.
The reason i didn't approve of your asking who created Allah, is simple i already found an answer in The Quran. Now we just need to study Quran hard, ask God for knowledge to get the Quran, that's all.
Thanks for the advice, sister.
Peace.

Salam.
I forgot to tell you something.
If anyone decides to ever come to London, please, be careful in your choice of words, watch your back and keep a low profile.I remember in London Central Mosque this woman accepted Islam while i was in the office of this imam and then he says, well, now you can choose a Muslim name and the other sister that was there told her four names Fatima, Amina, ..... i forgot the other two but i almost said, hey, hey, that's not important. Good thing i kept my mouth shut.
I didn't have an apartment back then and the newly recruited sister offered me a place to stay and a shower, right there in the office and imam just watched.
Imam's secretary was rude to me but that's because she is constantly suspicious of me, she kept telling me to go back to America. I kept telling her i'm not American and when i said i was from Slovenia she thought i was lying. I wish i was American, at least, i'd be in L.A. running on the beach and feeling the sand between my toes instead sitting here and smelling of chicken and pasta.
I hope i earn some heavy cash fast, God willing and move on. Literally.
God knows best.
Peace.
