    Peace and wlecome, Cyrus,

    There's a saying
If you want to continue getting what you have, keep doing what you do.
    Or something like that ;D

As others have said, you're probably best off picking up some new hobbies and surrounded yourself with positivity. I would take a close, analytical look at how your days are spent and I'm sure you can find all the little rituals that perpetuate what you're "feeling". Keep in mind that our bodies are, essentially, animal. It's up to you to steer yourself in the right direction. The good news is you're aware. Now you just need to pin down the negative triggers and change your behavior. Remember, God helps those who help themselves.

    Peace,
    Tay

yea i m gonna stop looking on the internet for guys etc .. and i hope i get a GF soon!

I'd suggest that you cut back looking on girls too. You sound desperate to engage in some sexual function. Control yourself man! elektro

Try and purify yourself and to walk the straight and narrow, if it is to God that you wish to go.

Peace. I agree with this. I personally don't feel that checking out girls/getting a girlfriend will solve your problem. It will only divert it instead of reducing sexual thoughts and urges. Give yourself a balanced daily routine. Do some exercise, eat good healthy food and engage your mind in activities which require the use of your intellectual faculties (e.g. reading, writing, discussing etc).

i think if you're seeking out muscled guys maybe you might like guys... it might be that you like guys and girls, but it seems you like guys for sure... so do you have a problem with it because it's not what you want, or because you think your society has a problem with it? investigate

If you like both guys and gals, you must be bisexual. Whether you are straight or not, just control your urges. Irresponsible sex is bad, whether it be straight or gay sex.

                Peace,

Listen I know we live in a modern world and many of us aspire to live in a world that tolerates all sorts of non-aggressive behavior no matter how immoral it is. However, let me say first that aberrant sexual behavior, in this case homosexual sex is a sin. Sin is the root of all evils in our lives and it hampers our growth spiritually. Let's follow the Quran here. If you don't follow the Quran well that is on you, however the Quran spells out in the story of Lot how sexual acts with those who aren't our mates (zawj) is a sin and faahishatun, meaning abominable behavior. I believe people have the choice to follow the right path or not in this world, but let's not make the mistake of endorsing or supporting homosexual behavior. Righteousness is often times soemthing we have to aspire to and can be contrary to what our society says is okay, and what society says can be engrained in our minds. On that same token, consentual incest, heterosexual sex out of the bounds of engagement and marriage, and many other acts are also sins, although our society might declare it okay as long as it is ""safe." But let's take this safenss beyond this world. That is what taqwaa is about. It is absolute prudence which takes into consideration this world and the next. There are many sins that you can commit "safely" not exposing yourself to immediate danger, however true prudence takes into account God's wrath as well. You may not catch an STD having "safe" heterosexual or homosexual sex but you are sacrificing your spiritual and life growth when you choose to disobey God and you put yourself in danger in the next life. Coming from the Quran homosexuality in the most extreme case can be a result of mental aberration, however if it is a choice or a habit or something that someone justifies then it is sin.

I can't stress enough that sin leads us down the wrong road even in our earthly lives. We have to look at the growth and success of our souls as well, not just our earthly bodies. Doing what pleases us as long as it doesn't hurt others is the wrong attitude. We have to do what pleases God.

Personally I am not one of those people who thinks that homosexuality is an abberation of nature. I think that in social animals it developed to create and maintain relationships, the same as it does between men and women. Remember sex in social animals has more function than just procreation. However, God is leading us to the best ways to live in this life and in following Him we also lead ourselves to true life in the next life. We can eat "safe" pork and never get sick, but is this why we don't eat pork? We don't eat pork (or any other animal that i forbidden) because we understand that this is what God wants of us (if we have come to believe that the Quran is from God). God knows why he doesn't want us to eat pork, have homosexual sex, or heterosexual sex out of the bounds of marriage and engagement, even if we can't see any earthly benefits for us in our lives. In the very least if we do believe that the Quran is from God then we know that disobeying God leads us down a bad path spiritually that has manifestations in this life and serious consequences in the next one.

Sinning against God is never worth it. If you question whether something is a sin or not, refer it to the Quran because sometimes we have false ideas of what is a sin or not. However, what we know to be sin we should stay away from, remember that God guides our lives and if we disobey him we stunt the development of our spirits and souls in this life and in the next. The experience that you gain from consciously sinning will not outway the negative effects on your growth. How can we dare to think that we know what is better for us than God Himself. Let's get serious, and use our brains here.

                Godbless,
                Anwar

                  Salaam all,

                  So straight means bisexual?

ok so you know, i used to be afraid of the dark. That was before i always think of God when i was afraid. I think of God when i feel something bad, then the feeling goes away.

Think about God when you got the urges. It will help.

                    Peace,

No, straight means heterosexual (men like women and women like men). Bisexual means you like both men and women sexually. And Homosexual well, we all know. Bisexuals engage in both hetersexual and homosexual sexual activities and homosexuals just like same gender sexual activity. Most people who are called or go by the name homosexuals are actually bisexuals, from what I've seen.

                    Godbless,
                    Anwar

They are quite homophobic and so am I to some extent!

                          lol a homophobic bisexual? brickwall

there is nothing wrong with gay people, and not everyone believes that homosexuality is forbidden in the quran.

If there is no punishment for homosexuality in the Quran, then it should be left to God, and God alone. Just as with apostacy.

                              Peace,

Angel and Lot. I suggest both of you study the story of Lot in the Quran. If you can't accept the facts there then you should understand then that you guys don't really believe in the book. Maybe you guys beleive in making a reformist, modernized form of Islam and accept the Quran because you see it as more tolerant. However, the Quarn definitely outlines through this story that homosexuality is immoral. Just because it doesn't hurt someone else doesn't mean it is moral.

There are also other parts in the Quran like where it mentions when two believers commit faahishat. There also another part of the Quran that allows for mental abberation as a justification, but in no way says it is okay.

                              Godbless,
                              Anwar

                                      Peace,

Because morality in addition to just dealing with the prevention of physical harm also deals with spiritual harm. There are things that we can do that hurt no-one else but that corrode our spirits, our relationships, our minds and our bond with God. When you go out and have safe sex with alot of guys, or if I do that with girls, the first thing that happens is that I weaken my relationship with God by opposing him thinking that he is wrong and I can do what I want, not hurt anyone and still be righteous. Remember God knows best. So firstly you are actively disobeying God and doubting his wisdom because you can't see any immediate harm for you or others. Secondly the only way you can realize why this is wrong is to do it and be actively analytical and watch what happens in your life or study it second hand. In my opinion it is never worth sinning, you can recover if you repent but it will regress you in a way that you will not realize until you begin to turn around from that sin, and understand the spiritual matrix that is also around you in this world and how by disobeying the true essence, controller and core of that matrix (God almighty) you really put yourself on the losing side.

So you go out and do what you want to do and have to learn the hard way how it is that this negatively affects you spiritually, mentally and/or physically. As I said eating pork won't hurt you either if you do it safely but there is more to eating the meat of this animal than just our physical health, there is something to eating the meat of this animal that damages us in some way that we don't yet realize, however the most grave damage we do to ourselves is doubting the wisdom of God, especially if we have come to know Him with our minds and know that He is real, and also through study have accepted his words. The answer for the true nature of how this could harm us could lie in any corner and it could be physical or spiritual.

Or maybe it is a rule that God puts to us to strengthen our spirit to worship, serve and sacrifice to him even when we have the choice not to. People who have sex with all sorts of partners "safely" and who eat pig meat and consume of many other things that are forbidden in the Quran that might not be harmful if done safely, look at their lives, get to know people like that if you don't know and think on how their lives are and how prepared they might be for the day of judgement.

I believe that much of what we are told not to do in the Quran can be done in a "safe" manner, however it will decrease the quality of our lives in material and spiritual matter. Remember God knows best what is best for us. You could have safe incest as well (using a condom or birth control, etc.) however we do not fully realize the spiritual, mental or even physical harm that could be done by doing these "harmless" sins. They are sins for reasons, folks and we should stay clear of them for our own good in this life and the next.

                                      Godbless,
                                      Anwar

                                        Peace Anwar,

For me, that verse in Quran meant Lust, not necessarily homosexuality per se. Like when they wanted to have sex with the messengers of God that went to Lot, it was lustful.

But I agree, be it homosexual or not, sex just because is wrong.

                                        Wa Salaam

                                          peace Anwar,

Because morality in addition to just dealing with the prevention of physical harm also deals with spiritual harm. There are things that we can do that hurt no-one else but that corrode our spirits, our relationships, our minds and our bond with God. When you go out and have safe sex with alot of guys, or if I do that with girls, the first thing that happens is that I weaken my relationship with God by opposing him thinking that he is wrong and I can do what I want, not hurt anyone and still be righteous.

Sorry, I don't believe that god would forbid things which do no harm.
It is harmful to have sex just for the sake of sex and it's wrong.
I don't believe that we are weakening any bonds with god or corroding our spirits if we do harmless things.
