Which camp would the spiders fall in?

- animals
- cattle
The obvious answer is animals.
Quran has further divided animals as
- those who walk on belly
- those who walk on 2 feets
- those who walk on 4 feets
Now which group?
Is the word "animal" referring to insects as well? Or perhaps this word is only referring to mammals only.

People before 1921 died of diabetes.
Pigs' insulin was preferred over oxen's and other animals because it caused less allergic reactions since its molecule is closer to the human molecule in structure.
Of course one can use any other source of insulin, even human insulin (Humilin) which is replacing animal-extracted insulin. I am not saying pigs are indispensable; no animal is. I was commenting on your sentence (Therefore nothing of them could be used for our benefit?). Remember, they are a cheap source of animal protein in poor countries and for poor families in other; and God recognizes this sometimes-indispensible source of food when He says "..if one is forced, other than in famine, without inclination to sin, then God is forgiving" 53 and similarly in 2173; 6145; 16115

Assalmo AlaikumI used the word ?benefit? which is available to us in the herbivores as per the Quran in addition/in exclusion to eating. I did not say being mindful of As for eating the meat is concerned the word ? ? has specifically been used.
The Quran covers all contingencies/situations as you rightly pointed out;
The word reflects very closely the position of a man facing sudden decrease of sugar level. Exception has been allowed subject to the condition that he does not have inclination/liking nor goes beyond getting out of condition of .
Even meat could be utilized since it is allowed in the condition
Research is till going on; therefore nothing could be said with certainty about the prefer ability of insulin even. Quran has only specifically declared the ? ? as , I agree. But at the same time we need to remember that it has specifically been said that Allah has sent for us 8 families of herbivores mammals.

Mammals are amongst "" but this word does not restrict to them alone. They are classified seperately. Quran also calls the "insects" as "" in verse 3414 where a female termite is referred.

Let me rephrase my question.
In order to encompass all kinds of animals/insects should'nt Quran be saying something like this
'some of them crawl on their bellies, some of them walk of 2 feets, some of them walk on 4 feets, and some of them walk on 6 feets"
Spiders have 6 feets not 4.
I am not alluding that Quran is wrong. Our assumption that the word "animals" encompass all insects could be wrong; otherwise the book's listing of animal categories is incomplete.

Perhaps the confusion is for the reason that you are taking one Ayah 2445 as if it is describing all animals in totality. It is not like that. It says that all animals are created from water. This applies to all animals/living organisms. And out of those animals some creep on bellies, some walk on two feet and some on four. Perhaps you are not considering/paying attention to used before describing some of the animals out of the toal lot. Insect {6 legs}has been referred seperately and 8 leg spider seperately.

Explorer had very beautifully said that anything said merely on the basis of one's thought without confirmation of the fact/reality is but noise. Questions are certainly not noise. One man travelling on a donkey had also asked himself as to how Allah will raise this dead town. Questions reflect thirst for knowledge.
