revelation never comes directly from God, except to messengers through wahi, divine inspiration/revelation.

Behind a "hijab", translated as "veil" by... you guessed it.

Barrier, or separation. In other words, revelation never comes directly from God, except to messengers through wahi, divine inspiration/revelation.

        no opf,
        look at what 2pac posted

"It is not fitting for a man that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or by the sending of a Messenger to reveal, with Allah's permission, what Allah wills, for He is most high, most wise."

        Surah 4251

The above quranic verse speaks for itself.

        PEACE

look at what it says, doesn't say Allah speaks ONLY through messengers, says also through inspiration, ok that's fine,
says also behind a veil, that's another way, there are 3 ways. says so in the verse,
the other 2 i understand, just this behind a veil thing is what i'm wondering about now,
how would that go? could anyone explain that?

O blimy! I forgot about those juicy suckers (including baby ones) and the fine cut well-done sirloins, hmmm. Well, after having these bestowed revelations, the best part is the mouth-watering banana-splits and home-made brownies covered with nuts of all kinds. Are you digesting all this, Elke.

            Peace all,

Since I don't believe in wandering spirits/ghosts on earth and/or "transparant" angels, I therefore believe that most (actually all) of us communicate with the Almighty instead of the mentioned "beings".
When I hear a psychic talking about receiving messages from angels and/or spirits, I find it quite weird that such a person thinks those "beings" really exist in a 'hidden world', while she actually is absorbing information of the Almighty, the Great Force. Isn't God the one who rules over the hidden world? Why should the Almighty, the Greatest Force, let others do the work for Him/Her while He/She can do it for Him-/Herself? Why should the Almighty send other beings that are also hidden just like Him-/Herself?

            Pondering... confused

                Peace

A TV program is a way of communication, used to transmit a message from the producer/owner of the media to the general public. This program is made with different videos and sounds, different places and times, stories about some group of people and situations... Then the program is received on a TV screen to be viewed by the audience.

Now, there is a program involving an entire universe, with an inhabited planet, with 6 billions or more people plus all other living creatures, with all sorts of places and situations, communicated through our very eyes, felt and tasted, with all sort of sounds, a program to which we can participate if we wish to. This is what we call reality. Isn't it enough of a communication from the owner/producer, the creator?

This reality must be telling us something, a way of teaching us, communicating with us, inspiring us (and every other form of creation, if I am not mistaken, inspiration is not limited to humans only), are we receptive to such communication?

Plus ideas, knowledge, nonsense, emotions... all this is communication, isn't it?

As for hearing God; Your are asking if we can hear Producer? This doesn't sound gramaticaly correct, an incomplete question; You didn't define what Producer you are asking for.

then who is the spirit sent to mary to tell her she will have a child (jesus)? did God come to her? that would be strange since it says we sent Our spirit...
it may not be a human shaped being with hands and legs, wearing a white sheet, with bird-like wings... hehe,
but it does seem (from reading the quran) that there are somekind of creations sent to deliver the message to humans, i heard that such creation is called gabriel (jibril),
but yes, God spoke directly to moses, so i'm wondering how,
and since laws of nature apply to all humans, then shouldn't we also be able to hear God?

well yeah, but how? how do we listen? what do we have to do?

ok in 4251 there are 3 ways mentioned,
one of them implies that God can talk to us behind a veil...

                        Salam/peace/shalom/vrede Nerspi,

                        peace all

then who is the spirit sent to mary to tell her she will have a child (jesus)? did God come to her? that would be strange since it says we sent Our spirit...

That's something that I still try to find an answer on.

it may not be a human shaped being with hands and legs, wearing a white sheet, with bird-like wings... hehe,
but it does seem (from reading the quran) that there are somekind of creations sent to deliver the message to humans, i heard that such creation is called gabriel (jibril),

I think those creations were/are humans who could communicate with the Almighty clearly and maybe had the mission to verify messages from Him/Her/It to others who also could/can communicate with God. It's clear for us that the Scriptures talk about plain human beings just like us who could communicate with God just the way (maybe even in a very different and special way) we humans do.

but yes, God spoke directly to moses, so i'm wondering how,
and since laws of nature apply to all humans, then shouldn't we also be able to hear God?

I believe we can hear messages from God and also see them. Moses is supposedly the only one who also could "see" God(?). Maybe there are more messengers who have spoken and "seen" God, but who've never been mentioned in the Scriptures. The Scriptures only mention a few of those messengers (Jesus, Moses, Abraham etcetera), but there were more. It was very common in the ancient times (in the time of the prophets) to communicate to the Great Force/Allah/God. I wonder how that changed to communication with spirits/ghosts and mythical(?) transparant angels. Nowadays if you claim to communicate with God you could be considered as mentally ill.

well yeah, but how? how do we listen? what do we have to do?

Sssssst... just listen. Is that voice in your head really yours? If you say 'yes', then you might consider people who claim that the voice in their head is not theirs as mentally ill. If you say 'no', then you're opening a door to a whole different world then the majority of people, a world of great possibilities.

ok in 4251 there are 3 ways mentioned,

Isn't that veil our body? Isn't our body the veil of our soul? angel

                        Just sharing my thoughts.

                        peace

how can that be ? Our soul rotting in earth of burned or whatever after death ? I see the body as a vehicle for the soul on this earth, but would not say body equals soul. How did you come to this conclusion ?

ok, i meant like, i would like to talk to Him presently,
(i don't mean that the same way as those people who said to moses they want to see God)
besides, i don't know how i could hear God's VOICE by reading the quran.

and it does say that one of the ways God can talk to us is behind a veil, so it is possible, and it did happen before so why not now, so lets do it, why not, i mean He is our creator,
we should talk to Him and it'd be nice to hear Him talk back.
