I have been going around this forum reading topics related to marriage and I would like to ask a question, From what I read in the forum, many people agreed that
marriage a contract between a man and woman , 2 witnesses and a dowry . (Considering there was no divorce taking place....)
So my question is very simple and clear... Adam and Eve, if they were the first human being, who were the 2 witnesses for their marriage? (Put in mind that god's law is the same all the time.... )
God and his angels were witness ;D God alone is enough muscle

Actually, there is simply a lot of things to think about just on "Adam and Eve" itself.
If it is true that human race started with two of them, and of course according to the "story" I was taught when I was in school... Which said that they had four children, 2 male and 2 female and they get married to each other... (I totally rejected this rubbish, how could they married each other? Isn't that forbidden by god...)
But, let us get back to the topic, let say it's not Adam and Eve, let say there is a man and a woman who travel in Sahara desert and nobody was around at that moment, and they decided to get married, who will be their witnesses?

Some of these rules are meant for a "society". I'm not sure two people make one, nor would they need to have contracts between them to be enforced by the society.

I do not think that all the rules were there from the beginning. They were revealed gradually according to the evolution of people, the degree of complexity of the society and their discoveries/inventions/needs. Noah' message was mainly monothism, and not to kill, but I think marriage rules were the last to be completed, for example prohibition of marrying sisters or setting of conditions and limits for polygamy were "recent" rules in terms of divine revalation.

Salam -ZS-. Your question regarding Adam and Eve is based on false premises.
The following are the false premises A nikah is not a contract, there is no ayat of the Quran that says nikah is a contract. There is no ayat in the Quran that there be two witnesses to a nikah. The had haramna of the Torah were given to Musa long after Adam and Eve had died. There is no ayat that says Adam and Eve had a nikah.
Because all the premises in which your question is based are false there is no question. Allah establishes the truth.
