Yes. Who said that it's 'food from God'? I think we are talking about how what the quran says about honey and honeybees is absolutely consistent with reality. What's the crime here?
The greatest crime given to Muslims and not muslims is everything in the quran that is showing them ways to get ahead, prosper, do better so they can get to pinnacles of glory has/ was turned into honey bees or animals or birds or mountains or stars in the said quran and so the methodology was hidden away which it still is because people still believe these things are honey bees or animals or birds or mountains, when they aren't at all. And Muslims are now learning from other nation how they can get ahead - when really its all in their quran but Mistranslated - use a dictionary and your intellect and i think you will see likewise.
Thanks for the effort but you really need a classic Arabic dictionary and your intellect Br and not the traditional followers of which we were all once.

To clarify, proving there are things better than honey at XYZ is irrelevant, unless one is implying AQ states honey is best at XYZ.
A person making irrelevant points is usually not considered to be using their intellect.
And i thought the quran does depict honey as one of the best!

Bees don?t live in mountains or trees but do live in what they themselves build.
But each to his understanding.

I didn't even know bees existed on mountains in south africa but I wouldn't say the quran is deficient. It's as if you want to strip the quran of all its falsifiability.

Study Try honey for children's coughs
CHICAGO - A teaspoon of honey before bed seems to calm children's coughs and help them sleep better, according to a new study that relied on parents' reports of their children's symptoms.
The folk remedy did better than cough medicine or no treatment in a three-way comparison. Honey may work by coating and soothing an irritated throat, the study authors said.

Federal health advisers have recently warned that over-the-counter cough and cold medicines shouldn't be used in children younger than 6, and manufacturers are taking some products for babies off the market.
Three pediatricians who read the study said they would tell parents seeking alternative remedies to try honey. They noted that honey should not be given to children under age 1 because of a rare but serious risk of botulism.
For the study, researchers recruited 105 children with upper respiratory infections from a clinic in Pennsylvania. Parents were given a paper bag with a dosing device inside. Some were empty. Some contained an age-appropriate dose of honey-flavored cough medicine containing dextromethorphan. And some contained a similar dose of honey.
The parents were asked about their children's sleep and cough symptoms, once before the bedtime treatment and once after. They rated the symptoms on a seven-point scale.
All of the children got better, but honey consistently scored best in parents' rating of their children's cough symptoms.
