Does the Quran tell us that all things were created in pairs or not?

    So what? What's your point?

I meant that there is a reality, and then there are concepts that we create about reality through observation, but that flew right past you.

So why does it always say he instead of she?

The Quran tells us all things were CREATED in pairs. I'll leave you to that.

    So what? What's your point?

    The active God doesn't exist.

I meant that there is a reality, and then there are concepts that we create about reality through observation, but that flew right past you.

The concept of gender existed long before humans. Everything knew its place in the system. We didn't create the very concept of gender, God did, and we named it thus. The creator of genders defined the roles of genders, and we play no part in that, except of our own. Still, men can't get pregnant yet.

So why does it always say he instead of she?

    See definition 2

Arabic has three genders expressed by two particles he and she, no speific particle for the non-specified-gendered/neutre nouns. (i.e a bi-gendered language)

    ***"She" is specific to feminine (humans; objects; animals; plants..);

    ***"he" is specific to
1- masculine (humans; animals; objects; plants..) and

2- The "unkown/neutre/genderless", whether it is a creation or God Himself. For "someone" or "nobody" for example, in Arabic we refer to this person as "he", who might turn out to be a "she". This has nothing to do with faith or fairness. Each language has its characteristics. You cannot refer to something wihout gender except in languages that have three particles for the three cases of gender. French is the same as Arabic in this since it is a bi-gendered language. English, though not gendered, has its gender-based bias. Language is not prejudiced. The way people use it is.

Well obviously, that's not true as there are asexual creatures. I'll leave you to that..

      The active God doesn't exist.

There is no active God? Everything is preordained and runs on it's own? Ya' know? This is all completely wild conjecture on your part and this is starting to go downhill.

keeping the initial topic in mind, as well as the topic which is debated... God is obviously lurking around in books on grammar, specifically in the chapters on gender!

          Peace,

I was watching a lecture regarding this question from the IRF (Islamic Research Foundation), which Dr Zakir Naik is a part of. I dont know the name of the speaker, but he was saying about people who say that God is Omnipresent. He said that thought was Kufr, and that God is in arsh, the throne. I thought, if he truely thinks this way, his way of thinking is more kufr then God being Omnipresent, or in no location at all.

          Peace

GOD the controller of the total system or one whos in arsh(throne) makes more sense than the omnipresent thing.
he has given us the 6th sense or the power to do certain things which GOD only can do otherwise.
ie like going against GOD's system, yet he is the controller, change us or make us repent when we transgressed the limit, we are able to understand our mistakes as k for forgiveness and do good to nullify the mistakes.

for ex... theres this global warming which is man made and we are know able to sense it and do things to reduce that and to save our earth.

no other creations go against GOD's system, except human with their god given ability.

well, what makes sense and what doesn't pretty much depends on what idea or image we have of God, and that's quite a tricky one. We can't understand God and we are not to associate anything with God...

If arsh is literally a place, wouldn't that mean that God is confined to a certain point? Then again, the same could be said about if God could lie, or make a boulder too heavy for him to lift, and still be omnipotent.

                  Peace

God is "everywhere". The Universe was created by GOD in seven Layers (seven Heavens) (seven Strengths). He is firmly established on the thrown and we are currently under the lowest "heaven" or "layer". He surrounds "Everything" ... so He surrounds the Universe from ALL sides. His Spirit and Angels regulate everything in the Universe at HIS command. 2 Angels are by our side at ALL times ... protecting us by the Command of GOD and recording all that we say and do ...one of them will be our witness and one our marcher on the DAY. The Quran is not "just" a literal piece of reading ... it has many hidden meanings which only those chosen by God can understand. The understanding only comes with reading it over and over and over and correlating everything in it. The light starts to shine throw clearly when GOD choses to let it shine on someone. Mankind has lost its footing and the promised punishment will come.

God Sees thrown every eye and He Hears throw every ear ... HE is everywhere. All livings things were created from fluid (Maa), Maa is fluid not water .... but water is a fluid. So what do you think GOD is IF 'everything" living came from fluid??

                            Peace,

When I was pregnant with my children, many people referred to my baby as "he". So what? All it really meant is that the gender was unknown. Why is it so important to figure out whether God is a male or female? As I read earlier... "he" is a gender free word in the arabic language. Is that hard to understand? If it's a gender free word then it makes perfect sense... since God has no gender.

                            Blessing to all!

He dwells within us and without us ... He sees through every eye and hears through every ear. He surrounds everything and His forces are by everyones sides at all times. He is not bound by space nor by time. We cannot understand this concept till we give up this concept of time ... time is a created thing .... GOD created time ... He dwells on all sides of time .. the past the present the future .... and outside of time altogether.

He is defined as omnipresent which means he is everything there is which means you are him.
                                    So is your perceived enemy.
But since you are finite, he is infinitely more than you.
Spiritually growing up means becoming more (aware) of him, expand your awareness. Which is a difficult thing to do if you limit your info sources to only one book.

Then Allah is not omnipresent and therefore not the highest god-source but a created creator-god.
