Maybe the better question would be Do animals have life after death in Paradise or Hell?

JK- I believe only if they have developed a conscience i.e. "nafs". Note also that in scientific classification we as living beings also fall under the main category of animals. GOD Bless!

Mountains have emotions or 'conscience'. Why not animals?

33 72. We have offered the trust to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were fearful of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.

          Animals do have 'nafs'.

2718 Until they came to a valley of ants, an ant said O ants, enter your homes else you will be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they do not notice.

No, mountains don't have emotions or consciousness. Personification is common in the quran but look at who the mountains are 'talking' to, God and none else.

On the other hand, animals do have rather sophisticated communicaton.

How do you know about the mountains? How do you know that is mere personification?

Because when I flew over the mountain, I don't remember it striking up a conversation about the weather.

Do animals have soul? does the quran have any information about that?

there is a sura that declares that all animals are communities just like us...

                        1. And there is not a creature in the Earth, or a bird that fly?s with its wings, but are nations like you. We did not leave anything out of the record; then to their Lord they will be gathered.

JK- I believe your repeating what bro "OPF" has just said. read his post again. He says they are "talking" i.e. communicating with GOD and hence in a unique way, id say on the quantum level everything including the very elementary particles continuously communicate with GOD but what should be obvious is that thats not what defines consciousness which is a unique attribute which is perhaps most well defined per self recognition and tool development capability. Hence many apes could be considered conscious but not all animals. GOD Bless!

There is no life without the spirit of God within.
