I need help in Verse 7-176
-
Salam Belalhammad,
Peace Arnab
My post was to understand if the verse means that there is a human who is or will live a long time on earth.
I was not trying to find a name, because if God did not reveal it, no one can.Peace
My mistake then, I thought you were looking for an actual person from any of the scriptures.
However, I spent a lot of enjoyable time trying to find someone to fit the description.
Salam,
Arnab -
Peace be upon you,
Wait a minute...you mean there is a devil out here in the earth with us? Is he red with horns and a tail? What does he eat and drink? Did he vote for Obama or Hillary? (assuming he is a US citizen).
If the word "eternally" is present , then it is only to emphasize how committed to the lower life this person...rather ANY PERSON who fits this example..is.
Dont waste your time trying to find the forever living man

Peace Hati,
The worst thing they did was introduce verse numbers causing people to read out of context and come up with nonsense which anyone with basic math knowledge can plainly see.
1974 takes the prize for absurdity topping even the dumbest hadith ever invented.

Why do you suppose this is in the verse?
... Such is the parable of the people who reject Our Ay?t. So relate the stories, perhaps they may reflect (7-176)
Mathalu ? example, likeness, parable, etc...

And recite to them the story of him to whom We gave Our Ay?t, but he threw them away, so Shait?n (Satan) followed him up, and he became of those who went astray. (7-175)
And had We willed, We would surely have elevated him therewith but he clung eternally to the earth and followed his own vain desire. So his parable is the parable of a dog if you drive him away, he lolls his tongue out, or if you leave him alone, he (still) lolls his tongue out. Such is the parable of the people who reject Our Ay?t. So relate the stories, perhaps they may reflect (7-176)So his parable is the parable of a dog
Such is the parable of the people who reject Our Ay?t
God meant That the parable of the people who reject Our Ay?t is the parable of a dog.
That is how I understand it.Peace

God meant That the parable of the people who reject Our Ay?t is the parable of a dog.
That is how I understand it.Exactly!
That is why him (singular) is used in beginning and not "them" (plural) to compare a human to a dog (singular).
Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa allathee ataynahu ayatina...
And read/recite on them whom We gave/brought him Our verses/evidences...Thus it's a parable and not about a single person living forever; although there will forever be rejectors.

So are you bothered that the number 504 725 born 11 19 1935 died 1 31 1990 fits 7175-176? Dont be bothered with what you call nonsense on arithmetic.
God bless you Nun,

Peace Hati,
I'm not bothered at all -- really amused at the naive absurdity of it all same as with hadith stories.
God bless you Hati

The person with GV 504 725 born 11 19 1935 died 1 31 1990 fits the verses 7175-7176.
But dont be bothered anyway these are mere numbers.-
7175-176 is NOT about ANY single person -- it's a parable!
-
Thousands of names = GV 504 with people born/dieing everyday.
-
Juliann calendar dates which people MADE UP have NOTHING to do with Quran
Lastly, the math is comical and trial is to read/believe Qur'an or imaginary self appointed messengers.
This is no different than hadith story tellers who likewise prey on the naive ignorant masses.

"Wa Etlo Alyhim Nabaa Ellazi" Recite To Them the Story of to whom. NABAA Means a True Story, and Elazi refers to one person.
If God said "recite to them the parable (example)", in Arabic " Wa Etlo Alyhim Mathel", that would mean A Parable Story.
In the entire Quran, when God telling us a true story, he uses "NABAA" or "Kasses".

Conjecture on word usage and Qur?an said exactly that ?His parable is that of the dog."
The Qur?an contains literal and parables and is also referred to as a story...

Above is mostly allegorical as are many verses in Qur?an and we determine if a story is literal not by assumptions on word used for story, rather by reading/listening to context of the story and using our common sense.

Peace Belal,
How about he clung "as long as is possible" to the earth. Could that be a valid meaning of K L D?Peace,
The arabic three words
Earth To ForeverTo translat this words to english in a way that would reflect the rich meaning of the three words, one can say "Lived forever to earth", "God gave him a very long life on earth". But forever life cannot be ignored.

Sorry I do not understand what you are trying to say.
But The Root word Nabbaa clearly means "telling some thing true"; please note that the word prophet in Arabic means "Nabbi" (from the root word Nabbaa) which translate to a person who says truth and do not lie.
The story is a true story and not an example "parable". the word parable was used to tell us that this person is a parable of a dog, in other words, he is like a dog.Sora Elnaba, is about True Event, which is the Judgement Day. In the Sora, God telling us about very true events that will take place in the Judgment Day; Thus, True Story.

The parables used in Qur?an are not lies; they are example stories to illustrate true principles.
Likewise, he (singular) liked to parable of a dog (singular) and ?such is the parable of the people who reject Our Ayat? teaches a true principle ? nothing to do with fictitious stuff like this...
