Salam belal hammad. Yes the Jews were prohibited the same things as Muslims are prohibited. The Jews wronged themselves by committing prohibited acts. Muslims should not wrong themselves by committing the prohibited acts.

    Allah is the lawgiver.

I DO believe that Isa received his own divine message to bring to the people.

I think that some of them could be scripture. At this point I have not fully evaluated them to come to a conclusion. But, in The Gospel of Thomas is the story of Isa breathing into the clay birds. Just as we have in the Quran. So I would say that there is a very high possibility that some of the apocrypha is scripture.

      Peace.

I can partially agree with this. I've read through a few of the apocrypha, and some of it is confirmed by al-Qur'an. I haven't gotten a chance to read all of it, though, but I'm definately trying to do so to determine what's accurate and what's not... Is the Gospel of Thomas the only book that confirms Esa breathing into the birds? Al-Qur'an mentions it repeatedly, so it must be an important act, and it's not even mentioned in the 4 books (M,M,L,J) we have in the Bible cannon of today...

Salam belal hammad. Yes the Jews were prohibited the same things as Muslims are prohibited.

        Peace,
Please forgive me, but you are very wrong.

Here what God porhibited for the Jews

        (&#65279

For those who followed the Jewish Law, We forbade every (animal) with undivided hoof, and We forbade them the fat of the ox and the sheep, except what adheres to their backs or their entrails, or is mixed up with a bone this in recompense for their wilful disobedience for We are True (in Our ordinances). (6-146)

But for me I will say what God ordered prophet Mohamed to say

        (&#65279
Say "I find not in the Message received by me by inspiration any (meat) forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be dead meat, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine for it is an abomination or what is impious, (meat) on which a name has been invoked, other than Allah's." But (even so) if a person is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience nor transgressing due limits thy Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (6-145)
        Peace

Salam belal hammad. 6146 fa alatheena hado haramna ... the word jewish is not in there... it says, hado haramna, prohibited limits.

The verse is mistranslated, that is very clear. The verse refers to prohibited limits without exception. The prohibited limits apply to all believers.

          Allah is mighty wise.

In brief, do you think Moslems should follow 6-146 or 145? More over, what God porhibted in the Torah, 6-145 or 6-146?

Salam belal hammad. Because whatever is recited from Allah is Quran, and hado haramna is recited from Allah, therefore hado haramna is Quran.

More importantly, Allah is not daeef that Allah makes mistakes, Allah is not weak human being. To assert that Allah needs to make changes impunes the wisdom and glory of Allah.

Allah makes no mistakes. Allah does not make changes. Only people who make mistakes need to make changes. Allah has sent similar verses or copies of verses all the time. I will obey what Allah commands wherever I find a command of Allah.

              Allah is the lawgiver.

Salam belal hammad. Eating animals that have died by themselves, drinking the blood of an animal, and eating the flesh of a pig, is prohibited in the Torah and Quran. Therefore obeying Quran and Torah is the same thing.

When it comes to 6146, Allah says "this is in recompense for their wilful disobedience" In other words, those who wilfully disobey the hadd haramna, they are to "recompense" by not eating the fat of ox and sheep, except what adheres to their back or entrails, or is mixed up with bone" This is the same in the Torah and Quran.

Let me give you a clear example of had haramna, wa kahnzeerun harramun aleyka. This is a had, a huddood, and haramun. A had haramna. This had haramna is clearly in the Quran. If a person knows this had, and hudood, and wilfully eats khanzeer, the recompense not eating the fat of ox and sheep, except what adheres to their back or entrails, or is mixed up with bone. This is a way in which a person can recompense his wilful disobedience. Wilful violations of had haramna can be recompensed in the same manner.

Allah is the best of judges.

                    Peace,

I haven't been following this whole line of discussion, however, the Torah says that the children of Israel cannot eat camel or rabbit either. But we can.
My belief is that Jews will have some of their own rites. The Quran says that each community was given their own rites. But Israelists (better word than Jew in my opinion) and Christians need to follow their own prophets' teachings as well as the Quran. And they can eat what is lawful for them of Quranists' food because we dedicate it to God and mention his name over it, not the name of any idol, man or no name at all (That, in additon to the fact that we cannot eat animals that have died on their own, fallen to death, been beaten to death or strangled).

                    Godbless,
                    Anwar

"hado" has nothing to do with huduud. The "h" at the beginning is a h, just as the "h" in "yahood"; but that in the beginning of hudud is different, "7", or as we pronounce the "h" of Muhammad or in the sentence "harramnaa" (yes, it's a sentence with the pattern of a verb conjugated to we). Your translation is wrong.

Salam samia. Had means limit. Hudood means limits.

I have read your post. I disagree with you.

                            What's "hado" then?!
Moreover, the intial letters of hado and had are not the same.
That's how these words are written

                            hado yahood Root
                            hadd hudood Root

The original words agree on one letter and disagree on 2 letters.

At the very least the Children of Isreal is a tribal affilitation. If you are not affiliated you are not an Israelist. I don't get your point really. I said what I said because Jew is technically only one tribe, that of Judah. Although it has come to represent the religion that judah followed which other tribes followed as well. Now a child of Israel is anyone that prescribes to that tribal affilation. That includes all Jews, some Christians and very few Muslims. And all of these groups need to continue to uphold he Torah, the gospel and (in the case of those who have read the Quran) the Quran too. Now if they are Muslims and have lost that identity and don't chose to affiliate with the tribe they are not Children of Israel. And even though I personally believe that all Christians should identify as apart of Israel and Jesus' tribe in particular, if they don't affiliate with the tribe then they atleast need to follow Jesus' gospel. That is my take.

                                      Peace,

Yes I do believe that generally. But I think you over simplify. Arabs did mix in with Israelites of the region and those Israelites technically became Arabs.
We can go before that time too and consider the Cananites and others who were not assimiliated into the Israelite ethnicity (the israelites mixed in with these peopels too). So I do agree that many if not most palestinians are of Israelite ancestry. However a great deal of them also have some Arab grandfather in there somewhere. The Arabs were in this region (not as a main population) as co-rulers for the Byzantines before the last prophet. They were called the Ghassanids. But Arab ethnicity was not as purist as the Israelite ancestry claimed to be in later parts of the Bible (you can see that the Israelites were not so purist either before and during Moses' time.) But Arabs can absorb any people. All you need is an Arab ancestor, but generational acculturation can create new Arabs as well.

I use Israelist instead of Israelite to show more of a priority and association with Israel rather than an ethnicity of Israel. This a a very complicated issue. Because you can be anything and Arab at the same time if you have an Arab in your father's line. Biblically I am not sure what exactly makes an Israelite. If Moses' children with the Ethiopian were considered Israelites or any other paternal israelite situation then an Israelite would lose his right as an israelite if his father is a non-israelite. But the modern Jews base it on the maternal line. And in that case that would make alot of Palestinians Christian and Muslim Israelites.

Salam belal hammad and progod. Israel is the name of an angel.

Allah/Elohim gave this name to Yaqub/Jacob. Yaqub is Israel.

The "people of Israel" are "the people of Yaqub"

Allah taught man the names of all things.

God did not take the title of Children of Israel from the Christian nor the Moslem ones, and we should not too.
