My mother has always made more money than my dad so yeah ...

But to be honest the absence of both parents at home is really bad for the development of the kids. I know because I have been there. And in my opinion a good father is a better role model for children than a good mother because kids tend to respect, listen and feel closer to a good father more. But the problem is there arent so many of them so yeah if its possible its better for the mother to stay home a lot.

Well Brother..Frankly am gonna get married soon Inshah Allah..and that guy is a pure TRADITIONALIST..He even wanted me to be in niqab and stay home and all.
I believe it depends upon the capacity of the woman..For instance, if I stay home,am sure I'll become crazy..
Its about achieving my own potential and contributing to society..
Personally..I like the way I am,independant..My dad has got an awesome lot of money..and I have just started working..But my mum..she prefer to ask me money instead of my dad..I wanted to know why..but she said she just dont feel at ease to ask my dad money..even for the most trivial issues at home..
I am sure if 1 day I have kids..I WILL NEVER NEGLECT THEM coz of career..And I pray that Allah give me the strength to cope with my duties Inshah Allah..

I believe in the absolute equality of all people, the only thing that should ever prevent thier capability to succeced in life would be thier own ambition.

            Peace,
            Respectfully.

I didn't vote because there needs to be added some more options.
However, i believe that men and women are equal according to The Quran and that a woman can do anything that na man can do and i also believe, know and hope that women will finally take charge and march out from the shade of the male and make her print.

            God willing.
            Glory be to our God.
            Peace.

I agree with you but i believe the environment in the work places is not women oriented and they are always harassed by their male co workers and bosses and the men on street. First of all they should be given full protection from such beasts and there should be no restriction on them if they want to work on their free well or of their need.

                Peace sister,

Why you will get married with a traditionalist?
You seems to be so free-minded and longing for something good in your life.
Beware that he perhaps will put you down and when you rebellion him it will be problems and fight in your life.
I was married with a sunni traditional during nearly 16 years so i know what I'm talking about.

                Take care sis,

                Maria

Why do women keep asking to be treated equal but at the same time complain about not getting special treatment?

I mean thats how it is among the men. We harass each other especially those who wont fight back such as wimpy guys. We are wild, and we know that we need to fight for ourselves in order to survive. So if women wanna be treated equal as men then welcome and be a 'man' so to speak. Stop being a 'woman' in work places and learn to fight for yourselves. Somebody harasses you? Dont just cry. Show him/her the big stick and trust me it will stop. If you cant do that, please just stay home. Mkay? ;D

These last messages are the kind of thing that have led me long time ago to think that women's liberation was done the wrong way. It was not right to try to make women equal to men. There ws nothing wrong with women. It was men who should have been made equal to women. But we are prisonners of the myth that men are right, perfect and it is women who need repair. So now we live in a "competitive" world, a show off world, nd we are better off because materially we are better off, but if it wasn't for the material comforts in fact I do not think that socially we are a damned millimiter more socially and companionably oriented than before.

I would propound more social qualities at work at home, everywhere, which might result also in making work and home less incompatible pleaces and more homely for real human beings and not worriless men and superwomen, which can carry their usual traditional burden and the burden of being like men besides. The men should have taken on some worries and and women shaken off some of the traditional burden and be free for something less burdening. The material comforts we have attained could have made that very feasible, but no. Men have always been right. There has never been anything wrong with them and their personality and position are ideal and worth emulating. We are "malists" to the core and think we ar eprogressing. What a pity.

When I say men and malists, of course I am not referring to thousands of years of history but just immediately previous history. Because going backwards there are too many econocmic, physiological and social questions which should be the subject of much wider and deeper analysis than the spontaneous ranting I am putting here where I see where the lead of maliness is leading us.

                      Salaam

Maybe liberation were really done in a wrong way Brother but..am sorry I have to blame the traditionalists for this to occur..In my country, the imaams are still criticising women that drive, work in KHUTBAHS..
I have stopped attending them anyway..and I dunno why they always criticise women and use stupid hadith to justify their acts..and also they say most women will be in hell..

Peace, i'd like to see a woman working in a mine alongside with many man, i don't think it would be best for the woman to work with "manyman", if you know what i mean.

                                  Also men can't birth children

of course woman are not lower than men and men are not lower than women, but each has a role that the other might not be able to take

as for feminism in the western world, i believe it will go away naturally, it's kind of like trial and error, son enough the society will see how bad extremism feminist is bad, hey same can be said for Misogyny

Wasn't one of the wife of the prophet a merchant with her own business?

Men never asked to be treated as equal to women and we never ask women to be treated as equal to men. It is the women themselves who demand to be treated equal. And nobody is perfect both sexes have plus and minus. Mkay?

what man would ask to be equal to a woman, when men do there job go out and work they are doing what god has asked of them to take care of the family what woman would be agaisnt that, but when women do there job as in having children raising them taking care of the home and mind you, this is a much harder job then mens work, i have worked in all kinds of jobs mens included as in warehouse work, were we are lifting 50 pound boxes 10 hours a day, but at the end of the day we get paid, who pays women for being mothers for waking up at night 2 and 3 times to breastfeed, or to clean up after our children or to take them to school........ a mothers job is a 24 hour job with no pay, and im talking as in money, and men come at the end of the day not appreciating what women do, as far as men are concerned the food that is ready on the table was magically put there and the house that is clean, a snap of the finger........all there wives do is have coffee with the ladies and talk about men. i beleive that why women are fed up with men and want equallity because they are never appreciated for what god created them for, and if men give ther women money they now think they have the right to oppress them, its not like we were living on the street before they married us.
i once over heard a man on the phone arguing with his wife and i will never forget what he said to her, " dont i have a roof over your head" whatever man, we can talk and debate about equality forever, god knows what equality is and humans will never learn, it will always be like this till the end of time, i have siad it once i will say it again......men are those who break or make this world, they have not only broken it but it is shattered, and everyone women, children, and the old are all paying for there greed and power............the only man who will ever succeed in this world is that who follows gods word 100%.............good luck to us finding them......
