Women are more independant,(e.g career, education) in the society.

peace sis
we are not few...we are just silent...slowly breaking out of the stereotypes.
remember that all cultures have stereotypes about females & males.
the whole point is "sharing in the burden eases the life for all concerned."
may we all have a blessed life ahead...
ramonPeace,
Respectfully. You're right, we are too silent and we shouldn't be.
God willing, soon, one of these countries will become Islamic and people will be able to tell the difference between Islam and sunnism, between Muslims and sunnis.God bless us all.

Peace everyone,
I'm kind of late in this topic but I voted for the first one.. obviously... because I believe that Allah does not judge us on whether we are male or female so why should we not be equal? However, as some of you have said, part of the reason that women's "liberation" has not gone well is because they don't really want to be equal, they want special treatment.
Growing up in a house where I rarely saw my father because of his work, I really think that this society should get used to "stay at home" Dads, but I know that this may never happen. A father who stays at home while the mother works would be called lazy, or a scrounger because he's not "pulling his weight" even if he's cooking, cleaning and looking after the kids. But women who stay at home have their own profession- housewife- and she's praised, as long as she cooks, cleans, look after the kids AND her husband when he comes home late from the office. So what can you do?

Men arent bad. Its just that women are so easy to manipulate and dominate that we dont even have to try. ;D
Seriously though, its not that most men are evil. Its more that women just cant tell the good men from the bad ones. Sometimes I saw some couples and I took a little glance at the man and I could immediately tell from his face whether he would keep the woman for a long time or he would ditch her after taking something from her. Women need to learn to tell good man from the bad one. The easiest and fastest way is by looking at his eyes. But then again women tend to be very naive. I have a friend who got a new boyfriend and after meeting him I immediately told her he was no good and she was like, "You dont know him enough. I love him and I know he loves me." And then a few weeks later she came to me crying. All I could say was, "Oh well ..." D D D

Hmm Jankren it's not only women who fails to find right guy, also men face the same problem. Listen for friends advice is one way but the best way is to listen to your own
mind, deep within you, you have the answer. But many stressed people have difficult to listen to their own selves so they commit many errors on their path.Maria

i agree...but for now i believe that "being a believer" is more important (for me) than "telling others what a believer is."
