- The unwavering loyalty u display for the books of jews & christians impresses me. But all v have in support of jerusalem's holiness is the misplaced emotion of her faithfuls. But emotional attachment carries no value as evidence. Does it? -)
On the other hand, its history points to destruction & ruin. Would any sane person take a place which gives testimony to utter destruction, a dumping ground -- littered with bones of foxes & pigs & who knows who all, to be blessed? -)
Most importantly the book of the muslims talks about the ill-fate of the temple, but offers no hope to her lovers. Unless her lovers be scavengers, what can v justify their emotions with? Empty words & sad verbosity? Inventing lies in the name of quraan? I reckon reason enough for a muslim to not share the zeal of others. -)

You sound ridicules; this is not about a boy fight, this is about God's religion; The Torah, Bible and Quran Confirm Jerusalem to be the place for pilgrim; I advice you to visit the two places, Macca and Jerusalem to witness with your eyes about the traces of the prophets, especially Abraham.

And for some reason, the sunnis & shiites find jerusalem "holy". But what is this reason?
The answer seems to lie in 171. Almost all popular sunni & shiite interpretations tell us that al-masjid al-aqsa is a location at jerusalem. A good reason to hold jerusalem "dearest of all to their hearts". Of course, nothing in the quraan even remotely suggests this.
A strawman argument. This is a Muslim forum, not a Sunni/Shia forum. I am sure most here believe 396-7 to be the important verse. I am happy to listen to your arguments, but they seem to consist of

As for insulting others, if u find the history of jerusalem insulting then why do u cling to it? It is a fact that it was named after a pagan deity. The destruction of the temple of jerusalem is a fact. & it is a fact that it has been found to be littered with the bones of pigs & foxes. If u don't like facts, it's okay; but don't label listing facts as insulting others.
That is the precise scenario, v know the history of jerusalem & u cannot fit muhammad there, no matter how hard u try. If u want, u can take a try at locating jerusalem in the quraan.

Okay. Looks like u have still not located the construction of the bayt by abraham & ishmael in the bible. Hmm. I have to say ur holy book has missed out on a very important narration. And this makes ur book a very poor source for any muslim study. How then are u going to prove that 521 refers to "jerusalem," which is not even mentioned in the quraan?. -)
Further, the land where abraham & ishmael built the kaaba has been called "balad alamin". And because abraham & ishmael never built the kaaba according to the bible, finding this place in the bible is a logical impossibility.
On the other hand, v have the quraan talking about the annihilation of the temple, without ascribing any holiness to it, let alone the city it stood in. & v have the history of jerusalem testifying to its own sorry existence. Nor can I help bones of pigs & foxes being found there. How much evidence will u avoid? Including the fact that u cannot fit muhammad in the well-established history of jerusalem.
Last time around, u disappeared without showing the arabic "makam ibrahim" on those unidentified tombs. Are u going to follow suit? -)

Yathrib is mentioned in the Quran (many thanks for providing me with a quote I was not aware of), but Medina is not (Mecca=Beca argument).In the Quran, the people of Mecca hindered the hajj. This does not mean that the hajj was near Mecca however.

God revealed stories in the Torah that are not in Quran; in other words, the three books complete each others; so if the story of Abraham in Quran says that Abraham STARTED the Building, But did not Complete, the same story does not need to be in Torah and Bible. Moreover, the three books are Divine Books According To God.
And as Abraham raised the foundations from the Dwelling with Ishmael ?Our Lord accept this from us, You are the Hearer, the Knowledgeable.?
