dress code on the beach

i live in Morocco and at the beach you can see just about anything, from small bikinis (not too many), to sporty swimsuits with or without leggings (mostly) to ladies going into the water with full dress (not many either, many of these ladies just sit sweating in the sun, serving food and drink and watching the guys enjoy...)
but the full dressed ladies, when coming out of the water do not look less sexy than the others...all that wet cloth clinging to their bodies

How is being wet sexy anyway not everyone has the desired body to come out of the water looking sexy. besides some materials cling differently some are worse than others.
Joe when you swim you all get wet every bit of you... so the sticky wet feeling ain't so bad, but when it rains and you get wet feet that's annoying!

As summer is coming, and reading about an article about women dress code, I was wondering what are your thought about "dress code on the beach", I know seems maybe obvious for some, but still, everyone should enjoy of God's creation and going to swim in the sea is one of them.

its like wearing paint.you should probably swim in (decent) clothes,
or in a private pool
or not all all, you won't die from not being able to swim in the ocean
(btw, always check in the Quran before you do something)

They are tight.... Which is better for swimming.
No one should place hardship on themselves.

You people are really hopelessly spoilt. What is that need now to swim in the middle of some water? You just go through the movements at home on the kitchen floor and those should be plenty of kicks. Throw some salt around to get the taste of it, and who needs to spend money on transport and all the discomfort...

If the beach goers lower their gaze to the ankles , they wouldn't even notice what other people are wearing

Well, I think it's up to everyone to choose what to wear on the beach.
If I really want to melt into the crowd of people on the beach I should wear a normal bikini or swimsuit that most women wear. If I wear strange clothes people will notice me more and I get attention that I don't want to get.
A suggestion is to wear bikini when you lay down to take sunburn and when you take a dip into the ocean but when you will take a longer walk along the beach and perhaps buy an ice-cream then you can put on a beach dress or something.

Well, I think it's up to everyone to choose what to wear on the beach.
Depends on the aim. If part of the aim is to follow Al Quran then how can it be up to everyone to choose?
IF part of the aim is not to follow Al Quran, then yes, it is up to everyone to choose.

inevitably we all choose what we want. your suggestion of a bikini might work in some areas of the world in which the social construction says bikini is the thing to wear at a beach but not all places are like this. Also as people become aware of other people's beliefs and cultures they recognise the clothing as part of identity and do not look out of place. it's all about perceptions and social constructions..

I understand "lower their gaze" as idiomatic. It simply means not to stare at women the whole time and so on. It doesnt mean to physically lower their gaze. Otherwise you'd be walking around with your head facing downwards the whole time!

I think the lowering of the gaze can be physically done
I'll give you an example imagine you saw a really attractive guy/girl and you like unconsciously starred at them. IF you thought of lowering your gaze maybe instantly you would look down and distract your thoughts.
i don't mean you look down all the time but maybe you would lower your gaze initially and then be off to walking normally.
