      Peace
Because female is physically weak ,she will make the "state " to interfere.

      581

      (581) Allah *1 has indeed heard the words of the woman who is pleading with you concerning her husband and is making her complaint to Allah. Allah is hearing your mutual conversation *2 . He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.]

Any complaint on the part of the woman the "state" should address it.If the husband is found guilty ,he will be punished accordingly.

      Regards

Any punishment is the business of the community. No individual has the right to judge and/or punish another.
And this is a twisted logic because a woman is physically weak, the husband has the right to beat her up?!

thats why we should beat her if she is guilty of nushuz? what is the punishment of a husband if he is guilty of nushuz?

But where is the punishment for wives for their Nashooz?

Advise, is it called punishment anywhere?

Remove her away to seperate bed inside the bed room--don't have sex with her--who calls it punishment? For healthy husband it is other way round, self punishment.

Remove her from bed room into other part of the house---is it punishment?

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

Dear brother, I agree with you, am asking q_student who implied "nushuz has to be punished" and according to him 434 says "punish her" so where is punishment of husband is mentioned? when nushuz on part of husband is mentioned it says why the two different remedies for same act? Is nushuz of husband different than nushuz of wife?

But the "toleration" level of majority is quite different. A wife seldom asks for it. And even if she reflects it this would be like a very weak pleasant odor whithered away quickly in air.

The funny thing is when nushuz is explained by traditionalists as (when the wife refuses to sleep with the husband). It will be silly to consider such an act as a punishment to the wife, when actually she would say "good riddance"!

There is one thing more and that can happen inside the bed room.

And this attitude of the husband is not for reason of some negative "physical" reasons in wife. Here the intention is to take money/assets from wife which is evident from . In Urdu ahsaan might convey a different perception from Arabic, where equity, proportion, balanced is the perception, when things are in appropriate measure making it look beautiful for the eyes of onlooker.

                          I'd say "nushuz" means "disloyalty".

I told you, you can easily detect the additions and manipulations of these dictionaries. It says rising up "against obeying him"! The addition is "obeying him". God does not command any human to obey any other.

When dictionary compilers add their personal whims and idiosyncracies while defining the meanings of a word they do nothing except belittling themselves. This man has translated the word by alleging three allegations; . It is not necessary in .

is merely listening and affectionately accepting the word/saying of him. It is not obeying. Obeying i.e. to do or act as told is the stage after it and for that in Arabic the Root is " " not " ". And the third act included is nothing but absurd allegation; not even remotely related to nushooz.

As Sisiter has quoted the verses, it is only standing erect before her husband; which implies non cooperative attitude; to maintain and adhere to one's self opinion and posture and not take the other seriously or respectfully. To stand respectfully for some is and otherwise stand erect is .

The allegaion comprising definition can not be translated as betray.

(past and past participle be?trayed, present participle be?tray?ing, 3rd person present singular be?trays)
                                    transitive verb

                                    1. help enemy to harm or be disloyal to a country or another person by helping an enemy or giving information that is confidential

                                    2. surrender somebody or something treacherously to deliver somebody or something to an enemy
He betrayed his own brother to the secret police.

                                    3. go against promise to act in a way that is contrary to a promise made
"If an intelligent person is betrayed repeatedly, and humiliated publicly, yet chooses to remain in that situation, one must ask what are the rewards?" (Gail Sheehy Vanity Fair February 1999)

                                    4. reveal something to show something, often unintentionally
She said nothing, but her bright eyes betrayed her excitement

I have written an article on verse 434 of the Qur'an, a verse which has commonly been misinterpreted to justify violence against women. I have created a website to publish this article www.quranverse434.com
