    Yes it is. Infninity can be looked at in at least two ways. One is as a value, and another is a description for a set of numbers.

      Actually, it creates infinity. For example, it is believed that there was a singularity before the Big Bang occured. According to the theory, the volume was zero and the density therefore was infinite.

      Are yes, but the volume was not zero. Zero does not exist in the universe.

          According to the Big Bang theory, there was first a singularity before the universe was created. Therefore, the singularity turned into the expansion of time and space, the creation of time and space. The singularity was not in this universe since it didn't exist yet. It existed free of space and therefore had zero volume.

          d=m/v

          d=m/0, 0=volume of the singularity

          d=infinite

          That's why scientists say at the beginning, the universe was infinitely hot and infinitely dense.

            Not on your calculator but in reality, yes you can.

            It equals infinity.

            However, that 1=2 thing I showed does not work of course.

              If something does not exist then it cannot have volume, even zero volume (which also does not exist)

                    Yes there is. If something does not exist inside of space-such as the singularity-then it has no volume since space is needed for volume since volume is based off of space.

                              The volume is zero when the volume is zero and space exists,

                              when space does not exist, volume does not exist as a concept, leave alone with a determinable volume.

                                x/0 has no meaning or undefined. Try it on your calculator and you will get an error. Try it in computer programming, integer division by zero may cause a program to terminate.

                                    Well, since 0 equals 0, and 1 x 0 equals 0, and 2 x 0 equals 0, then 0 x 1 must equal 0 x 2 (0 x 1=0 x 2).
                                    Let's look at that more closely...
                                    0 x 1= 0 x 2
                                    We have to simplify this, and the only way we can do that is divide each side by zero

                                    0 x 1= 0 x 2


                                    0 0

                                    You can never divide by zero and the only solution to 1x = 2x is when x = 0. By dividing by x you'll only be removing the solution which is why the result becomes wrong. You can divide by x but that is only if you know that x is not zero hence http//i.imgur.com/2mIxzwM.gif sadly in this case x = 0 therefor you can't divide by x. This is why you should break out x instead or just move over the first term to the other side

                                    1 * x = 2 * x

                                    What do you think x will be in order for them both to be equal? Zero of course.

                                    Can even be solved like this

                                    2 * x - 1 * x = 0

                                    x = 0

                                    The zeroes cancel out and you're left with one equals two (1=2). Some of you will probably say you can't divide by zero because you'e calculator won't let you, but yes you can; it equals infinity. However, in this problem it doesn't matter what it equals because the zeroes cancel out. Obviously, 1 does not equal 2, so then what does this equation and answer mean? I believe it is true when applied to infinity. Think of the question which is closer to infinity, 1 or 2? Well neither is closer than the other hence they are equally close and so 1 has the same value as 2.

                                    My calculator says that the value is not defined which is what it's suppose to say. The reason it equals infinity for you is because your calculator is NOT dividing it by zero but rather to a number that is close to zero as possible. So in conclusion the denominator is never zero and 0/0 does NOT equal infinity but is rather considered undefined because the denominator is zero. Neither does 2/0 equal infinity either but the denominator being as close to zero as possible will equal infinity. Although this does not apply to were the numerator is zero because then the result will be zero. So 0/(0,1)^ = 0

                                    Take the number 2 for example.

                                    The calculator will try to come as close to zero as possible so

                                    2/(0,1)^ and will try to put infinite amount of zeros in order to come as close to zero as possible(Note that it's approaching zero from the right side). This will give an infinite number of course. Can also be writen like this which is why your calculator sees

                                    The denominator i.e x can never be zero so it will try to come as close to zero as possible instead. This is why you get infinity. The smaller the denominator is the bigger the value becomes and given the fact the denominator is going to come as close to zero as possible(meaning that the denominator will only be smaller and smaller) the result will be infinite.

                                    The result can also be minus infinity if it is approacing the zero from the left side i.e the denominator will be smaller and smaller except that the denominator is a minus value

                                      Yes, dividing by exactly 0 does not equal infinity, however as the denominator approaches 0, the result grows bigger and bigger, infinitely.
