All Muslims believe in that, Elhamdulillah God is able to do anything. He just say Be and there you go... peace

) All muslims believe that Muhammad somehow split the moon in half, causing it to fall to the earth, half of it landing behind a mountain and the other half landing in someone's backyard?!? Are you sure that ALL muslims believe that story? Is that even possible?

But the moon splitting isn't theoretically possible. I believe that science and religion are in harmony. peace

oh, well, then it must be true. what a strong argument hehehe

Exactly, you beat me to it... Science and religion should be compatible and harmonized. It's completely ridiculous and unrealistic to assume that the actual moon (which is HUGE, I might add) split in half and fell to the earth, one half of it landing behind a mountain and the other half of it landing in someone's backyard. That story doesn't make any sense, and it's incompatible with science and reality...

some miracles might seem incompatible with our reality that doesn't mean they never happened or untrue.

some miracles might seem incompatible with our reality that doesn't mean they never happened or untrue.

But where is the proof that they ARE true or that they actually DID happen? How can you believe in something specifically based on hearsay? Isn't that a case of relying on blind faith and belief, which the Qur'aan condemns?

I know that God is capable of doing anything, but I believe God will not break natures rules to perform miracles just so we may believe, just won't happen. This brings us onto what miracles does the Quran talk about if any? Anyone know?

So We revealed to Musa, "Strike the sea with your staff." And it split in two, each part like a towering cliff. And We brought the others right up to it. We rescued Musa and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the rest. There is certainly a Sign in that yet most of them are not believers. Truly your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. Yes a very famous miracle. Reason for the miracle to rescue the people and kill the wicked, or thats it in a nut shell. Now tell me the reason for the split of moon?

                                    Peace

                                    Hope

PS. Jesus performed miracles, making the blind see, curing illness, all had a good reason and mentioned in the great reading. Why is the spliting of moon not mentioned?
