That is not Moon that is actually the tomb of my great great grand father. '(
whatever fftopic How do you know?

All Muslims believe in that, Elhamdulillah God is able to do anything. He just say Be and there you go... peace
) All muslims believe that Muhammad somehow split the moon in half, causing it to fall to the earth, half of it landing behind a mountain and the other half landing in someone's backyard?!? Are you sure that ALL muslims believe that story? Is that even possible?

But the moon splitting isn't theoretically possible. I believe that science and religion are in harmony. peace

what, they mean like... actual HALF of the moon? how big do they think it is? hehe
All Muslims believe in that
oh, well, then it must be true. what a strong argument hehehe

Exactly, you beat me to it... Science and religion should be compatible and harmonized. It's completely ridiculous and unrealistic to assume that the actual moon (which is HUGE, I might add) split in half and fell to the earth, one half of it landing behind a mountain and the other half of it landing in someone's backyard. That story doesn't make any sense, and it's incompatible with science and reality...

handshake One of my class mates in school told me that the world was flat. I told him "what were you studying from your science text books all these years". And he tells me "there is a hadhith that says this" and I said "That is BS"

salaam brother
some miracles might seem incompatible with our reality that doesn't mean they never happened or untrue.

Wait, he said the earth is FLAT?! o

Wasalaam,
some miracles might seem incompatible with our reality that doesn't mean they never happened or untrue.
But where is the proof that they ARE true or that they actually DID happen? How can you believe in something specifically based on hearsay? Isn't that a case of relying on blind faith and belief, which the Qur'aan condemns?

yes he said it. I guess he was high. laugh

salaam brother
Wahy is the biggest of all miracles, would you please explain which science approves the communication between God and man?

Peace
I know that God is capable of doing anything, but I believe God will not break natures rules to perform miracles just so we may believe, just won't happen. This brings us onto what miracles does the Quran talk about if any? Anyone know?
Peace

So We revealed to Musa, "Strike the sea with your staff." And it split in two, each part like a towering cliff. And We brought the others right up to it. We rescued Musa and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the rest. There is certainly a Sign in that yet most of them are not believers. Truly your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. (Qur'an, 2663-6 police

Yes a very famous miracle. Reason for the miracle to rescue the people and kill the wicked, or thats it in a nut shell. Now tell me the reason for the split of moon?
Peace
Hope
PS. Jesus performed miracles, making the blind see, curing illness, all had a good reason and mentioned in the great reading. Why is the spliting of moon not mentioned?

YUSUFALI But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say, "This is (but) transient magic."
PICKTHAL And if they behold a portent they turn away and say Prolonged illusion.
SHAKIR And if they see a miracle they turn aside and say Transient magic.054.003
YUSUFALI They reject (the warning) and follow their (own) lusts but every matter has its appointed time.
PICKTHAL They denied (the Truth) and followed their own lusts. Yet everything will come to a decision

Whenever Allah decides to do something ,he say "Kun" and it happensPlease note the use of "imperfect tense" which means "present /future " tense.
RegardsAnd this s may be a key formula to split atoms because he is the one who created everything then he must know how to do that without breaking his own law, I don?t know what all this fuss is about.
