    All Muslims believe in that

oh, well, then it must be true. what a strong argument hehehe

But the moon splitting isn't theoretically possible. I believe that science and religion are in harmony. peace

Exactly, you beat me to it... Science and religion should be compatible and harmonized. It's completely ridiculous and unrealistic to assume that the actual moon (which is HUGE, I might add) split in half and fell to the earth, one half of it landing behind a mountain and the other half of it landing in someone's backyard. That story doesn't make any sense, and it's incompatible with science and reality...

          salaam brother

some miracles might seem incompatible with our reality that doesn't mean they never happened or untrue.

              Wasalaam,

some miracles might seem incompatible with our reality that doesn't mean they never happened or untrue.

But where is the proof that they ARE true or that they actually DID happen? How can you believe in something specifically based on hearsay? Isn't that a case of relying on blind faith and belief, which the Qur'aan condemns?

                  Peace

I know that God is capable of doing anything, but I believe God will not break natures rules to perform miracles just so we may believe, just won't happen. This brings us onto what miracles does the Quran talk about if any? Anyone know?

                  Peace

So We revealed to Musa, "Strike the sea with your staff." And it split in two, each part like a towering cliff. And We brought the others right up to it. We rescued Musa and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the rest. There is certainly a Sign in that yet most of them are not believers. Truly your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. Yes a very famous miracle. Reason for the miracle to rescue the people and kill the wicked, or thats it in a nut shell. Now tell me the reason for the split of moon?

                        Peace

                        Hope

PS. Jesus performed miracles, making the blind see, curing illness, all had a good reason and mentioned in the great reading. Why is the spliting of moon not mentioned?

541 The Hour draws near, and the moon is breached.

Everyone has a term and that term will come.

542 And if they see a sign, they turn away and say ?Continuous
                                magic!?

How many signs have people rejected? Loads I would imagine.

543 And they disbelieved, and followed their desires, and every old
                                tradition.

Classic example of hear-say making its way into Gods message.

544 While the news had come to them in which there was sufficient
                                warning.

Messengers were sent to many to warn.

545 A perfect wisdom; but the warnings are of no benefit.

How true. Was the warning signs of last day or the system in which God wants us to live in with clear examples of what will happen to those who do not follow? I think the later.

546 So turn away from them; the Day will come when the caller will
                                announce a terrible disaster.

The disaster will be announce but no one knows when and only the wicked will find it hard on that day.

547 With their eyes humiliated, they come out of the graves like
                                scattered locusts.

548 Hastening towards the caller, the rejecters will say ?This is a
                                difficult Day.?

Thats my summary, I could be wrong, I am no scolar or able to read arabic, but I believe in God and the last day, and I believe the good people will have nothing to fear on the last day. Also miracles do not strengthen my belief as everything around us is a miracle, just step back and look around you then you will know there is a God. Praise to God, Lord of the worlds..

                                Peace

my argument would be hey, if they got to see a (supernatural) miracle (that breaks laws of nature), then i wanna see one too...
i mean why God let them see it only, who are they, why they so special, why not us, today, huh, i'd like to see a man come out of fire (and i don't mean a fireman)... (no need to answer these questions, i'm just sayin, ya know) )
