I said I'm better than him and I meant by it that I know things more than him. So there is no relation between the verse and what I said .

Or there's a chance that you are born to Islam, conditioned to a particular way of thinking and then stubbornly refuse any other opinion because you were never taught to think for yourself; let the Ulema think for you.
You never question that you might be wrong? That's sad and exemplifies the condition of the Muslims. God tells you to ponder, not accept unquestioningly everything that the clergy feed you.
Oh and I liked your jibe against converts. Did you forget that Abu Bakr was a convert, so was Umar and so were Uthman and Ali?

Peacewell, those converts from Abu Baker to Umar were a good converts who they followed the sunnah of the prophet as a second ligeslation in Islam, in the other hand some bunch of converts today rejecting it.

One day when we were sitting with the Messenger of God there came unto us a man whose clothes were of exceeding whiteness and whose hair was of exceeding blackness; nor were there any signs of travel upon him, although none of us knew him. He sat down knee unto knee opposite the Prophet, upon whose thighs he placed the palms of his hands saying ?O Muhammad, tell me what is the surrender (islam).? The Messenger answered him saying ?the surrender is to testify that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is God?s Messenger, to perform the prayer, bestow the alms, fast Ramadan and make if though canst, the pilgrimage to the Holy House.? Some Munafiq seems to have concocted this falsehood who are jealous of the Exalted status and stature of the Messenger who is exclusively the One who has been assigned the duty and responsibility to guide the humanity, not any Angel. Munafiq will render such stories which indirectly downplay the Exalated Position of the Messenger of Allah.

I love it that to qualify as a Muslim, one has to testify that there is no god but God AND that Muhammad is His messenger. The first part I wholly agree. But I cannot imagine Muhammad would say, "... and Muhammad is His messenger." nor can I image that Muhammad would say the "shalawat Nabi" when he prayed. I also cannot imagine that the prophets before Muhammad would say the second part of shahada (Well obviously). Hmmm, maybe the prophets before Muhammad was born weren't muslims? That is off course, using the criterion the traditional Muslims use .

Salaam.well, the prophet has testified to himself that he is the messenger of God, if you have any problem with that, you're not Muslim and Muslims are away from your evil spirit. Yes the prophet said that he is the messenger of God and he said everything about himself , that's what you can't stand or better your soul can't stand, God has made the name of the prophet side by side to his name, you have a problem with that go do like this brickwall .
