Its Allah tells you to lower your gaze in Quran. if you cant cope with seeing a bit of hair then you need to reconfirm what Allah has told you to do. Its a mans problem he cant control himself, not a womans.

Allah tells you women to tell us men to lower our gaze, allah teaches you how to empower yourself, how to speak up! If you don't obey allah then you will for ever be timid and not be able to yelp when a man comes groping and perving over you. It's not my problem that I perve over a woman, I enjoy it. And things that a nice, are a taste of heaven.

the speech literally is for the wives of the prophet but goes for all women because God created women not just wives of prophets .
when a speech from God to prophet or to his wives is valid for all . if we use your logic, we will not obey the prophet because Quran was recited to him alone. what a joke .

. Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts). That is purer for them. Verily, All?h is All-Aware of what they do.

If that applied to women then it would imply the opposite for men. So it would mean, men would be commanded to stay outside the houses.

If women are such a danger for society that they need to be locked away and made invisible, it might be better to bury them alive right after birth.

The prophet's only order is to be the messenger, not do the things in the quran at every moment even today.
And there is no "oh prophet, tell the believing men". Because who would notice a man staring at a woman other than a woman that was being stared at?
Exactly, and if she doesn't tell him, then she would just get angry and troubled by a men looking at her. And on the day of judgement if she goes to the god and complains about a man looking at her... wouldn't the god ask her if she told the guy not to look at her?
