- vti use violence to use violent physical means such as blows with fists or a weapon to try to overpower somebody
- vti go to war to go to war, or engage in armed conflict with another country, force, or group

Good, here you say that Form VIII verb means insulting or punching each other. And punching each other means real fighting . You did not mention about my "poor English knowledge" since I have used "mutually fighting" and have unnceccarily added "with each other". Now I think that I can bring in the emphatic connotative aspect of the Form VIII verb by using the word "fiercely", and you tell me how could I put in the translation the original reflexive causitive meanings of the Form VIII verb.
Original Form I verb is and is Form III, the form used in the verse under study but is Imperative. The basic meanings of this Form is CAUSITIVE to be Active Participle and when in the verb meanings are also of "with" it reflects mutality. So there in verse 29 they are being asked for war not mutual punching.

When there is a fight between two nations, it means that they are in a War with each other .

If you read even further up in al-Quran, you will find this in 913
Would you not fight a people who broke their oaths and intended to expel the messenger, especially while they were the ones who attacked you first? Are you concerned about them? It is God who is more deserving that you be concerned with if you are believers.
This is a very good point. I will listen to talk radio and currently Islam is a common subject and I will here people quote verses from the Quran but fail to quote the verses before and after (or sometimes even the complete verse). Just yesterday I heard someone say "the Quran says, 'Kill Them' referring to the infidels meaning Jews and Christians, and 'Beat them' referring to their wives."
