Proof Qur'an-alone is Error

Peace "Badr",
The antibiotic material is extracted by drowning the flies in ethanol, then running the mixture through a filter to obtain the crude extract.
When this was placed in a solution with various bacteria including E.coli, Golden Staph, Candida (a yeast) and a common hospital pathogen, antibiotic action was observed every time.
"We are now trying to identify the specific antibacterial compounds," said Ms Clarke. Ultimately these will be chemically synthesised.

JK- That's not what the hadith says. The hadith explicitly states that we just dump the fly in. Otherwise almost every living thing on this planet has some beneficial anti bacterial stuff in it which needs to be extracted via a certain process, not just dumping the whole thing in. BESIDES THT the hadith also explicitly states that the cure is IN ONE OF IT'S WINGS AND THE DISEASE IN THE OTHER which is not true at all. It's the flies body which contains most of the stuff and no one fly wing has consitently even a significantly more disease stuff than the other, not to mention all of the diease or anti dote being in one wing only. I've posted a detailed rebuttal to such a defense here

Common sense tells you that if you follow other books besides Qur'an, that The Qur'an isn't enough for you.
Salam all.
Thank you Alen I really had to stop at this point, as the first few post after mine, I found quite touching. Yours in particular Alen brought tears to my eyes, and then it all went pear shaped from there. Truly lovey loves I am done with the arguments. I believe in The Holy Quran, that is the only Hadith, and I love all prophets and follow them by following the Quran. I am now comfortable with praying twice a day Fajr and Esha and sometime in the night praise my Beautiful, Wonderful Creator. I have completely ostricized myself from every Muslim I know and because I live in a small part of Reading I can't see me having much contact with any Muslims in the fore seeable future, Allauhalam. It is a lonely existence for me but I do have my next door neighbour Helen who is of no religion but great with helping me mow the lawns in the summer yay. Oh and of course you guys are here to help me group. For that I am grateful that Allah swt has guided me to this forum so I don't go completely stir crazy. Rana thank you for you kind words you really are so nice to me. I would never leave my Allah, inshAllah.
Peace

Sorry Badr. I jumped to conclusion about you. The typical ortodox muslim who does debate us would never recognise a quranist as a muslim. I thank you for being open and respectful to us. I only wish the ortodox muslims in my community will one day see me as a muslim. Not that it is personally important, but more for the peace within the community.
i feel you on that, but you dont have to judge men but the belief. one convert muslim once said muslims are the baddest representatives of their religion, and i find this so true.
If you worry about the salat, pilgrimage and sawm then you must ask us what it means to us. You cannot just worry about us because we do not follow the trend of the majority. I think you gathered that you will only be doing brickwall if you try to use verses from the Quran to argue your case. If you truly want to convince us that we are doing it wrong I suggest you use another tactic, because seriously, I would love for you to show us that we are on the wrong path without arguing about how to interprete the Quran.
as you believe only in the quran i try to post verses to prove my point (i didnt realised that what could be obvious for me couldnt be for everyone). i also realised that hadeeth means nothing for yall so it is a dead end.
I understand that, but you still have a choice to make. If you are following the beliefs of a group where within you have a smaller group that will kill and murder in the name of your group, then it is your duty to stand up and fight them. Right now there is nothing being done within the islamic society to fight those that taint the name of islam. Probably because there is alot of confusion about how to interprete the interpretation. Remember, the Talibans are following the same hadith as you do. If you follow the Quran you will have no problem to differentiate yourself from those who think killing is justified.
yes, the problem is that islam dont have one unique word nowerdays, and also not a unique authority that sets and enterprets the laws of the quran and the sunna for all of us.
Maybe I do have the wrong idea about ortodox muslims if you impliment my statement with your community. In my community it is however the very right idea. The ortodox muslims are drifting further and further apart from the rest of society, and it is entirely their choice. They have never asked themselves why society does not like them, instead they blame everybody else, media, politics, the police.
these are political and social problems, the belief is another story. but i have to confess it as important as the rest because the prophet said insahih muslim "The best amongst you are those who are best in morals." also "The best among you are the best in character (having good manners)."

GOD Bless!do you expect the prophet to give you a scientific review or a college thesis about the subject ? we all know flies transport germs, we now know they also produce antibiotics for the germs they are in contact with, this is more than enough especially when it has been said 1400 years ago.
as for the other scientific hadiths, it's coming. do you know how much question do i have to answer in this forum ? ;D

JK- 1st I dont beleive any of this was actually said by the Prophet but if he did I expect to when he mentions something specific as to one wing of a fly containing the disease and the other the cure, to be correct in what it states as such whic it is not. IF the hadith would have said "In a fly you'd find much disease but also it's cure" then the hadith would be correct and somewhat noteworthy. It doesnt say that. GOD Bless!

you are hard to satisfy )
we'll settle this point in a few years when science will advance to find that the antidote is in fact on the wing.

JK- Sure if that were the case meaning that one particular wing in all natural occurring flies contains the anti dote alone and the other the cure alone, then this hadith would indeed be remarkable. But you can ask anyone who is specialized in the field and he/she will tell you that already both wings are farely equal in their distrbution of whatever substance and that no one wing stands out. GOD Bless!

You said ""Nor does he speak out of desire. It is naught but revelation that is revealed," when he speaks it's revelation, it is a general sens right here, evry thing said by the prophet is revelation whether it's Quran or a "regular" saying."
Allah says Quran is complete and fully detailed and HE will explain it IN it. YOU are saying other things were revealed that are not in Quran and were written down later in hadith, which the prophet said IN those hadith NOT to do. Allah said Quran is the BEST hadith and you need NO other hadith after it, you say we do. So you do not believe Quran is a complete and fully detailed book fully explained BY Allah IN it. therefore you are saying Allah is a liar if you are right.
There are many more stories yes, by many people who cannot and could not have been verified. If you follow something you are told is from the prophet and it's not, the duty is on you to verify it, which you cannot. The ONLY thing Allah gave the prophet to give us is Quran, nothing else and the sunnah of Muhammed it IN Quran. He did not add anything nor take anything away from Quran, nor did he make haram or halal that which Allah did not. Hadith DO.and you have to go outside Quran for that? If he was a walking Quran then how he judged and taught by it is IN it, not in some other story made up later.
But why not? That is what YOU are saying we should do, why can't you do it?Because he is no longer here, and what we have is Quran so what we must follow is IN Quran because that is what he followed to the letter and was a 'walking Quran' as you have just said, so why do you need to go outside Quran to find how to follow what he followed? Why do you need to follow something else?
how do you know if cocaine is haram or halal ? is it mentionned in the quran ?

JK- Not necessarily because many living things as i said do contain some benefits for humans or cures for some disease. besides that this hadith sounds more like somebody wanting to make a mockery of the Prophet because everyone knows that just dumping a fly in some vessel and drinking it could cause a hell lot of diseases especially cholera. GOD Bless!

you know what you have to do to prove your point a glass of water and a fly and there you go, if you catch something i'll join your movement guys

Peace "Badr",
Khamr = covers the mind ? source?
JK- Look up the root meaning of the Arabic term "Kha Meem Ra" at www.studyquran.co.uk under "Search by root" and then "project root list", then click on the letter "kha" and then search for "Kha-Miim-Ra". Check the meanings under Lane's lexicon reference given below. The root of this word means "cover" and can also mean "head cover". Even sunnis/shiites agree with this so I wonder why you doubt this. GOD Bless!

JK- It's not necessary that every fly gives you something but if flies are flying in a region where cholera is prevalent and you take those and dump them into your food or drink you can get seriously ill. GOD Bless!

Is it mentioned in Hadith?
Do either mention walking in front of a bus is dangeous?I have a brain, Allah tells me to use it.
the prophet said "evey intoxicant is wine and every wine is prohibited".
some persons need proofs, a brain could sometimes not be enough ; i red somewhere in this forum that even alcohol isnt haram.

Proof is Quran, what else do you need? How would I find proof cocaine was haram if its not in Quran or hadith, I assumed you couldn't find it
yes it seems sometimes just having a brain is not enough for some, mainly because they don't use it and leave the work to someone else so that someone else can tell them what to think and do. Fortunately I use mine and it works quite well.
As for alcohol the verses are pretty clearly a warning regarding over use or praying while you don't know what you're saying, presumably sloshed to the point of incoherrant. If it's totally haram why verse 16.67, why does 2.219 say there is some benefit and advises you what to spend on such things. Clearly spending the rent and food money on booze is haram but having a glass of wine after paying everything out doesnt seem to be and can be a benefit. Now do you want to discuss abrogation?
