Peace and welcome Eliyiah. I to wasn't certain what to believe in.
I have looked into many beliefs and because I couldn't agree with all the hadiths I ended up a deist at one stage. Lucky I have found out about Quranist/God alone Islam.
I have never been as cerain in faith as I am now.

Did you ask the hadith followers who said that you should divorce your husband because he is not a hadith follower about the saying that divorce is one of the most hated things by God?
Islam stands for peace and does not give us permission to hurt others. Considering the importance that God places on family unit/relationship, I'd consider it un-islamic to even suggest divorcing your husband. Divorce is one of the most painful of human experiences regardless of the reasons and it affects not just the couple but the entire family. To even suggest a mother and a grandmother to divorce her husband is beyond wrong. Well, my brain simply cannot comprehend it.
So the hadith followers want you to do what....divorce your husband, cause a lot of pain in your family and then you are to marry another hadith follower or stay single! And what exactly will you tell your granddaughter and what values will you be teaching her?
With your love, patience, commitment and understanding, your husband may also join you on the path that you are on. this is what Islam(God) is all about. PEACE

peace be upon you. you are a very smart sister! i am proud to call you sister! i am originally from Latvia, now in usa-had all of the EXACT same things happen to me, except husabdn-i left mine in Latvia-to tell you the truth, about hijab-i wear it and love it, do you know why? i have hot pink, purple, green, all colors, and i am overweight, so a nice abaya and colorful hijab makes me look much nicer than t-shirt and poants! try it sometime only if you wish! God bless you, sister! keep it between yourself and God, ALWAYS, and ignore the Mohammedans, because they DO idolate, you are right! most can quote a hadeeth on ANY subkject, but do NOT know what is in the Koran! i have a dog too, and he is not going ANYWHERE! he loves to pray with us! every time my son and i put doen our prayer rughs, there he is, right with us! our cat does the same thing! they have a natural relationship with their creator! write to me anytime, sister! and dont listen to fools or fairy tales! iwas catholic most of my life (now single mom 47 years old), and always loved jesus, mary, but always too, had questions of how 3 people could be on God....consider me your friend anytime! sun
