Same thing as Rahman, if you read all verses posted earlier in page 1 , than you can see that God use this name as a personel name. if u feel personel can't be trabslated than don't translate it. but one thing is sure, Allah used it as a personel name , same way as he used the word Allah, and Rabb, but more of a personnel name , like a relationship between him and people.

You mean, If Quran was sent down with another language other than Arabic, God will describe/name Himself as "Rahman", "Allah", "Rabb" again? If so, can you tell me what does it make Arabic so special when comparing with other languages? hmm

First of All, all the arabs that you see in the world now are not arabs, arab isn't a race but a language, it is the language of Bani Israel , the jews we know now aren't Bani Israel , they are jews of religion,, and their language isn't hebrew but the language of the country they were born in, and the hebrew that we know isn't the hebrew language of Moussa and Isa and the prophets, but it was reconstructed in the last thousand years, it contains arabix, greek, ancient hebrew and aramaic.
Arabic language, is a mean of communication just like any other language, so if your name is any language, it's not supposed to be changed in any language, the mistake they made the people of old that made us don't know who is who in history.
AlRahman is an ancient name, the name of God , the egyptians called him with the same name since abraham time, AmonRa , this name get to us because archeologists read it from left to right, but egyptian language reads from right to left, and it sall be RaAmon , wich pronounce in arabic like Rahman .
Egyptian history of the prophets been kidnapped but pagans, first by zoroastrians 500BC , than freemasons archeologists give us the names and history they want to give us. can u be an archeologist and have access to Egypt ? NEVER . because the secrets of history have to stay burried, if they divulge it, it will be a big problem, we will know who was moses, and who was Abraham, and who was Joseph, and who was Jacob, and who was the tribes , sons of jacob, and who was Jesus and who was Mohamed

notice, all these names have something to do with EGYPT , it is no coincidence

Rahman is the proper name of god, read all the verses posted and you will feel and see it is a personel name
Allah is the title , the divine , u can translate it , but Arahman, go see all translations, everyopne gives a different meaning, everyone. because it is not clear , because it is not an clear attribute. because it's a name, this is what i understod, and this is what I believe from what I read, the one who posted this thread was right. there is no secret name of god, because it's always in front of us. you talk about the name in ancient languages, go see all revelations, not the translations of those who distorted the books, in aramaic, or hebrew or arabic, it's always the same word

You still can't get the point that I'm expecting for let you clear my statement.

If "Rahman" was a proper name as you stated above, why did you feel necessary for state that its meaning was "INFINITE MERCY" in early post? If it was God's proper name, it should be independent from languages and linguistics etc.. but it is not independent from Arabic, because it is Arabic word and it has 3 letter root which are R,H,M. We can derive proper related meaning words using this root with straight Arabic Grammar. "Rahman" is one of them and its meaning is "Merciful", but not "table" or "pencil". This must be just coincidence if "Rahman" has a meaning and this meaning is related with its root... if not, then you should realize that there is a close relationship between Arabic and you-so-claiming God's proper name.. This is exactly what I asked for previous post.

        Peace.

"If "Al Rahman" is the personal name of Allah , then why did every prophet and messenger mentioned in AQ addressed Allah in their prayers as either Our Lord or My Lord ? Could that be that all those chosen messengers were ignorant of this new revelation ? From my reading of AQ , every prophet/messenger addressed/called Allah with the words Rabbana or Rabbi which I understand to mean "our lord" and "my lord" respectively" .

          Peace loxbox/Mazhar

Could you please answer my questions in the above quote , preferably with an example from AQ showing even just 1 (one) messenger praying or calling Allah starting with The alleged personal name such as ' Oh Al Rahman please forgive our sins and those of our parents ' ? If those messengers knew Allah's personal name "Al Raman" why did they not use this so called personal name in calling to Him ?
In your immediate previous post you said " arab isn't a race but a language " , based on this , could you translate 997 for me please ?

Would it not be better to call Allah with his personal name in our prayers ? And yet we could not find within AQ even one of the mentioned messengers using this alleged personal name .

          Thank you for your reply

U can use Allah and ignore AlRahman, as you wish, Allah gave autorisation to call unto him by two names, anyone u wish, but to say AlRahman is an alleged name, i think u should read the verse again

Say Cry unto Allah, or cry unto AlRahman, unto whichsoever ye cry . His are the most beautiful names. 17110

About Al AARAB , it doean mean Arabs , most people translate it Bedouins, the only arab we know from the Quran , is the Quran itself, and it's a language according to the Quran.

The Foreign Settlers in Arabia are more hardened in the matter of disbelief and deceptive duplicity of false claim of belief and are more disposed that they might not know the circumference/volume of that which Allah has since communicated to His Messenger.

The earliest Muna'fi'qeen were from amongst Jews. And they were the settlers in Arabia, not the sons of land.

Above contradicts Qur'an -- the language of the Arabs is Arabic.

997 The Arabs/al-arbu stronger (in) disbelief and hypocrisy

                4144 ... a foreign (language) and an Arab/waarabiyyun?

16103 ... tongue the one they refer to him foreign while this language Arabic/arabiyyun

What was the language of the children of Israel, most of the quran was addressed to them !! were they the arabs ? was prophet mohamed from the children of Israel ?

And We have not sent any messenger except in the language of his people, so he may clarify for them. But God misguides whom He wills, and He guides whom He wills. And He is the Noble, the Wise. 144

And before it was the Book of Moses, a beacon and a mercy. And this is an authenticating Book, in an Arabic tongue, so that you may warn those who have transgressed, and to give good news to the righteous. 4612

I don't know about jews, but according to the quran, the children of Israel were there, all of them, and most of the quran was addressed to them, whenever Allah speak to the children of Israel, he speaks to them nicely, and the quran treated the jews and Bani Israel as different. I don't know why

                        Qur'an is in Arabic, agreed?

Qur'an if addressed to anyone or non-Arabic subject is an Arabic translation of what transpired.

I'm sorry, infinite mercy is my understanding only, I might be wrong
                          Rahma = mercy
pluriel of Rahma could be rahamate, but i never heard such word, or maybe rahma is singular and pluriel
rahman sounds mysterious a bit, sounds like Rahma ascending, of an action of a word wich u never find in other word in arabic.
Also rahman sounds like rahma in duality, but still, rahma is feminin word if you want to use it's duality, it is Rahmatan, but the word Rhman is masculin of how it sound
So honestly, I feel Rahman is a proper name, and I can't explain more why i feel this way, except by the verses that were posted in the 1st page of this thread
                          peace.

And amongst the Foreign Settlers in Arabia in the vicinity/around you people, and some of the inhabitants of Madina, are people duplicitous/deceptive false claimants of belief,

"some from Al-aarabu" is one group and "some from the Ahl of Madina" is another group. And obviously the Ahl of Madina are certainly the Arabs-sons of soil. Therefore Al-aarabu refers to those people who are the settlers and have become "Arabicised".

That's like saying "some Arabs are dumb" others on the right path does not specify sons of the soil or anything of the sort.

What if A?rab are zoroastriens ? remember, they wrote the history of Islam and they're the ones who said Bedouins are the A?rab
What about Abu Lahab ? isn't it about Zoroastrien worship ?
They even invented Hubal wich is Lahab in reverse, what about the trinity that Allah spoke of in the Quran ? Why the christians aren't mentioned ? what is Allat Manat and Uza ? why is Muniut is the holy spirit in persian ?
Why did Feron ask Haman to start a fire for him ? isn't it a hint that Feron is zorostarian ?

Too much confusion between history, and The quran

Give it a second thought and see whether there is even a remote similarity between the two quotes?

Verse clearly says "min Al-Arabu" which means those hypocrites can't be other people besides "Al-Arabu", then why so such efforts?
