perhaps the question to be asked is what is prayer?
you can pray lying down, sitting up, standing on your head, walking, and so on. when i am dealing with a particular difficult situation,, i turn to God asking for help and his strength (that's prayer). when i am upset, i ask God to help me hold back my emotions (that's prayer). when i talk to God throughout the day (that's prayer). remembering God and turning to Him is praying which you can do in any state.
now, i beg to differ with those who state that the koran doesn't specify ablution and physical form of worship. ok God doesn't need us but we need Him. for me this type of praying is stopping, hitting the pause button in the course of the day,clearing your head, engaging in 'meditation' physically and mentally surrendering yourself to God, and asking God to help you avoid the sins, and should you die in the next hours to make your exit be with honor.
point of praying is to attain piety and righteousness. now, question is do you really need to engage in this kind of worship/praying to attain the ultimate goal? my answer is a 'no'. it is though a good thing.

Muslims prays in myriad of ways..
Yet the true objective of praying is not to earn 'credits' which might earn them Heaven as reward..
No matter how hard the burden of life being put upon you, praying shall give one a feeling of comfort, peace and happiness.. which hopefully shall resulted in good deeds..There are no 'standardized' or the 'most right way' to pray as it goes back to the individuals...
Praying is an intimate and personal moment between the creation and the creator..
And no one else besides those two parties has the right to judge whether his/her praying is 'correct' or not..."Only by the remembrance of God your heart shall found assurance"

i agree there is no right way or wrong way to prayer - it is a connection btw the soul and its creator..
laugh, cry, stay there one or 4 hours..repeat one praise or use a many eloquent praises to glorify God.. its btw you and God..
