If you look for patterns in anything you will find them. Lets take the sept 11 attacks as a recent example and in particular The Number 11
The date of the attack 9/11 - 9 + 1 + 1 = 11.
September 11 has 9 letters and 2 numbers 9+2=11.

As long as you stick to your ideology you think you are practicing but you refuse to apply it to any other situation as you have taken your ideology to be your idol in my openion. If you disagree to this then let's just leave it here, no use for any further discussions.

In summary my understanding is that this site is saying
- You are responsible for your own decisions and therefore the resulting consequences
- The quran is solid proof of god
- God knows everything and he can not be imagined
Was there anything in particular you thought would be useful for me?
I can see myself agreeing with points 1 and 3.
I do personally struggle with the 2nd point as I feel the Quran, in some instances, goes against our current scientific understanding of the world (as mentioned in my first reply).

Q Why believe if we cannot prove God scientifically?
I'd like to shed some light on the situation at hand.
People can in theory be divided into three different groups.Group 1 Those who can sense the existance of the Creator. They always had some feeling of this thing and the more they develop it the better their lives turn out and the more natural and obvious the existance of God seems. By definition they would have a pretty realistic image of God.
Group 2 Those who claim to believe in God... but their actions say something else. They don't really believe... they don't really feel it. But they do claim to believe in God. Such people are often identified as e.g. religious zealots, extremists or narrowminded missionaries.
Group 3 Those who cannot feel the presence of God. They just don't feel it, at least up till this point in time. They would, like everyone else, have an image of God. For these people, this image comes from religion, since they haven't been able to feel God and build their own image, fully or partly. These people are often rightly and understandibly rejecting the existance of God for two reasons 1. They have no experience/sensation/feeling of God, and 2. the images portrayed to them by religion are often silly and not very convincing.
So, why would someone believe in God if God cannot be proven scientifically? This question is a typical Group 3 question... and an honest one. There is no reason for them to believe in something they have not experience of, and especially something that seem like a character from a fable or fairy tale. The people of Group 3 can only sense/see/believe that which science can point out and prove. Of couse Group 3 people will not believe in something science cannot prove... it wouldn't make sense.
Does the absence of scientific proof mean 'no intelligent original Creator/Source'? No. The world doesn't vanish when the head is shoved into the sand. Out of sight doesn't mean out of existence. Is it possible that there are things we don't know and haven't seen/understood/experienced? Of course, it would be foolish to state otherwise. So why not about The Creato/Source of Everything. I'm not talking about stupid and silly images put forth by religion, but I'm talking about a Source that deliberately has created Creation. Is it possible that this may be the case, while we do not perceive it? Yes of course. Even atheists should acknowledge this possibility. And this possibility is not like asking about the possibility of a pink elephant with six legs. Is it logical to forsee or imagine a Source, as at least a theoretical necessity? I think it is. Forget about its characteristics. On the other hand, is it logical to forsee that pink elephant? No, actually it isn't... that's just rhetorics.
Why would we believe that nothing else, or bigger, can exist just because the discipline of science and it's tools haven't been able to prove it? Why do we believe we can determine, with science, the non-existance of something that science cannot measure. Why believe science tools are the end of the world and can detect anything that exists?
I think that religion, ironically, has f***ed up things for us, by dishing out ridiculous images of God that we have no choice but to reject. Of course we'll reject stupid images of God that don't make sense. Religion is no less leading away from God than anything else, amazingly.
One great problem is how we approach God. If we approach God like a separate character or entity with vengful and whimsical habits, then who the heck would believe in that. But if we trn things up side down, then perhaps things come in a different light for some people. If we START with a Source and then move to Creation, it makes more sense for us to imagein, as compared to if we would look at the universe as a self sustaining/independent/permanent thing and then try to fit some external unnecessary creating character into it. The issue lies in NECESSITY. What is the Source?
We can think of God as that "thing" which BY DEFINITON must be for anything else to be. The we can start exploring it and approaching it within ourselves. But if we START by defining God as something separat and unnecessary... then we look for the wrong thing! God, BY DEFINITION is not unnecessary or separate. By definition. If we look for a god with some other definition, good luck, you'll only find it in textbooks and folklore.
Honestly, what is it that makes it most difficult for accepting the existence of God? The logical need for a necessary source, or the nonsensical images of God vomitted out by religions?
All we need to be is 1. open to the idea, and 2. willing to find the truth NO MATTER what we find. First demanding scientific proof for everything is not the same as being open. That is instead the same as limiting yourself and thus NOT being open to truth whatever it might be. Reality is reality, truth is truth, no matter what we say, no matter what science say... so isn't it more wise to just let go of resistance, and just be open..... honestly open. And there is no need to have fear. If one is truly open, there is no risk that one starts to believe lies and nonsense. That is something else. Just because we are open, it doesn't mean we are gullible or senseless. Openness is REQUIRED for one to find truth. Even the staunchest atheist scientist would agree to this. If you're not open, you are at least partly closed, and naturally and logically you will miss something. If we are interested in truth... if we truly are.... then we should strive to be as open as we can... or else we'll miss something.

I see people discussing Existence of God! And I am asking to my self''Do I have to see concrete evidence? Or what is the definition of CONCRETE evidence, ie, seeing it with naked eye, touching and at the same time feeling it!! So i have to be dead blind not to see that evidence than! Because, every breath you take, every each of your heart beat, every thing you see, every thought passes through in your brain,every tear drop, every time you smile, every passing clouds above you, every each time you reach automatically to your mum's breast when you are baby and not to do that when you grow up is the CONCRETE evidence of existence of GOD,CREATOR,ULTIMATE DESIGNER,ALLAH whatever you wish to call it. NOTHING COMES OUT OF NOTHING. Science is a great field to explore life but, when it comes down to existence of God, science will not give you the evidence you are looking for. Simply scientist are US,HUMANS and we are not fully gifted or have knowledge given by the CREATOR to pin point the evidence that you can see with naked eye. NO scientist or science will ever present that evidence because we are the evidence, because this universe is the evidence of existing of God.
Yet, no scientific evidence submitted ''who was first Hen or egg'' ?? Let alone trying to prove existence of God in a view of naked eye.
Than comes the scriptures which purpose of it (to my personal opinion) live the life most righteous way and each scripture tells us(humans) how to conduct ourselves and be conducive to ourselves and society most harmonies way by using( incredibly designed) our faculties and our free will. I just can not comprehend even slightest looking for a concrete evidence of existence of God. Simple thing is this, who could possibly create all this,universe,us and everything else?? If your brain answers this other than High and Mighty,ultimate Power, Designer, God, Allah than i rest my case. So when it is so obvious seeing everything with your naked eyes what logic would make this illogical? That's why I feel so sorry for who call themselves Atheist. Because there is no back up for their assertions and no logical approach would be applied at all. Yes, we have intelligence and faculties to work around the created and creator but we do not have faculties and intelligence in a sense to demonstrate (as atheists wish to see) in concrete evidence existence of God. That's where all Atheist or doubters of existence of God should/bound /got to accept that there is a Creator/God.Also, I just like to touch other topics which mentioned on these posts. Believing Adam and Eve is our ancestors is beyond my recognition and my moral codes do not allow me accept that. Since I believe High and Mighty created this universe It is very logical and reasonable to think that He created not only Adam and Eve but created tens of thousands of people (male and female)in a split second, which makes me feel much better where my moral codes are concerned such as brothers and sisters did not produce linage up to today,also where race is concerned (Black,white,yellow,brown etc) would give me sight of relief that we all children of God but not the soldiers of God.
This is purely my opinion and belief of God and life. And I have no belief of Hearsay,Hadith, tales or magical events that would make no logical sense. If I am wrong than I can only ask forgiveness from High and Mighty but where his existence is concern, I only worship him but nothing else.Peace

Thank you all for your contributions. I think there is a clear consensus among believers that the signs of God, i.e. the creation itself, is a clear reason why to believe in God. It is simply illogical to think the universe would come into existence on its own and evolve into what it is.
We have also, as far as I understood, agreed that science cannot possibly prove God's existence because there is simply no way to measure him using instruments or by mere observation. We have to rely on circumstantial evidence, having the universe and its existence in mind, when drawing a logical conclusion.
There are however different opinions about the state of the Quran, some seem to even think it was a man-made fabrication, while some think it has been corrupted like previous revelations. Lastly there are still people who believe it to be the untouched word of God.
Finally, we are, as you mentioned, only responsible for our own destiny, by choosing our actions in this temporary world until the day God will read our record and assess it.
