BenderGood to know. It's always nice to know that you are not completely alone when postulating a somewhat controversial opinion.
It's not that any one or single text convinced me. I am not convinced, by the way. This opinion has been shaping in my head by reading different stories from different authors and slowly putting the pieces together in my head.
When the documentary by Tom Holland caused some controversy and iERA brought out their dishonest and badly researched text I went and dug a little deeper. My research then led to different people saying different things and then the different pieces just fell into place an suddenly I had a complete story in my mind, which took years to shape.

It is clear that you have no idea what "taslim" means in 3356. I am not sure if you know Arabic but the word "salute" doesn't occur in the passage.
If you can read Arabic then you will see the same exact word "taslima" is used in other passages in the Quran. In 465 the expression "salimu taslima" means "submit full submission" and not "salute full abundance" as you falsely claim

On the other hand, the command to submit is only given to the believers in the second part of 3356.
So, according to 3356, when you mindlessly say "salla allahu alayh wa sallam" you are actually saying "salla allahu alayh and submitted", in other words you are saying that the god submitted to the prophet (the god be most exalted above what you describe). This is the problem with mechanically repeating words like a parrot without understanding. You are ignorantly uttering a gross blasphemy. Now that you have been given knowledge, hopefully you will repent and correct.

Recall that you said to the one who was blessed by GOD, and blessed by you,

order to establish the precedent that a man can marry the divorced wife of his adopted

Thank you for a nice explanation.But how are we to send blessings on the prophet.Any ideas.?Also does the word nabi apply to someone in my lifetime who has given news not known to me.?

- He is the one who "yusali" on you, He and his contollers, to lead you out of the darknesses into the light. And he is ever merciful towards those who have faith.
One can easily find the correct meaning of "salat" by looking at the same exact effect repeated word for word in the following passage
6510-11. O you who possess intelligence and have faith, the god has sent down to you a reminder A messenger who recites on you the god's clarifying signs, to lead those who have faith and work righteousness out of the darknesses into the light.
So "salat" has the same exact effect as reciting the quran.
This is why "reading is used as a synonym of "salat" in 1778.
This is why the quran is called "a reminder" and the purpose of salat is to "remind" (see 2014).
Salat and reminder is two ways
- So remember me and I will remember you and be thankful and do not be unappraciative.
So we do "salat" to remember the god and he does "salat" on us to remind us. It is a two way process.
So we do "salat" by reading the god's signs and the god does salat on us by giving us his signs. The more we read and ponder on his signs, the more we remember him and the more he remembers us and gives us bigger and bigger signs.
It is very simple.

Depending on interpretation, we actually CAN raise our voices above the voice of Muhammad - namely, by looking to our own guidance and opinions rather than his. This Qur'aanic passage, like many others, can have a dual meaning, and it's not only applicable during his lifetime. The same context was relayed in the Bible, spoken by Jesus
Avraham saith unto him, "They have Moshe (Moses) and the prophets; let them hear them..." And he said unto him, "If they hear not Moshe and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead." (Luke 1631)
How can the people, e.g. the Jewish people, 'hear Moses and the prophets'? Weren't they dead? Of course they were! However, that doesn't mean we stop listening to (hearing) them through their teachings the prophetic scriptures. The Jews who lived during the time of Jesus were chastised for not listening to Moses; they didn't listen to him because they ceased following his guidelines inherent in the Torah. Similarly, if you place your own ideas and opinions above the Qur'aan, you have figuratively 'raised your voice above Muhammad's voice', or you have ceased to follow the prophet's guidance.
If the Qur'aan was authored by a timeless god, then the message contained within it is just as applicable today as it was "yesterday" during its initial formation.

The problem I have with your position concerning "salat" is the context of the word when used in certain other passages in the Qur'aan. For example
Do you not see that Allah is He Whom do glorify all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the birds with expanded wings? He knows the "salat" of each one and its glorification, and Allah is knowledgeable of what they do. (Q. 2441)
Obviously, we can't equate "salat" with 'reading', since birds can't read. We also can't equate it with 'prayer', since birds don't perform Islamic prayer rituals, etc. So, how are we to interpret this? How do you define the word "salat" as used in the Qur'aan?

No you cannot raise your voice above the prophet's any longer because he is dead. You
may try, but you will fail. Yes the Quran is applicable and a guidance for all of mankind,
but the ayat teaches not to shout or overtalk the prophet. People do not generally raise
their voice over that of the pope either. Please read the context.In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
O you who believe, do not place your opinion above that of GOD and His messenger.
You shall reverence GOD. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the prophet,
nor shall you shout at him as you shout at each other, lest your works become nullified
while you do not perceive.Surely, those who lower their voices at the messenger of GOD are the ones whose
hearts are prepared by GOD to become righteous. They have deserved forgiveness and
a great recompense.As for those who call on you from outside the walls, most of them do not understand.
Had they been patient until you came out to them (takhruja), it would have been better for them. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
This is a lesson for the believers about how to behave in the presence of the
