    Salaam "ResearchingtheTruth",

    Welcome. welcome

May God guide you and may your research be positive, insh'Allah.

I think "Bender" was being sarcastic about being a "black" "female" and the left-handedness. As you've demonstrated from your account, these things are viewed as being adverse according to Sunni doctrine.

    Salaam.

    Sajda.

            Welcome aboard!

I hold my spoon and fork in my left hand. Does God really care if I eat with my left hand or foot for that matter?

Keep reading and my suggestion, if i may, that you read multiple translations, trying to understand salat, ramadan and other commonly held beliefs from the Koran only and read different translations.

god is the best guide and truest friend here.

              Peace Researching the Truth.

One of my friend also left handed and he claim if he like this since child. There is no verses in the Quran that forbids left handed instead in that fabricated hadith.

I live in a Sunni majority place like you and yes asking something like what you say to your mother is a taboo things and mostly they will not responded. Most of them will says "It's not our territory to say something like this, what we can do know is only follow jumhur ulama" or say something like "Quran is universal and hadith is explanined the Quran in detailed way".

I'm also became Quran Alone after reading the book of hadith like you.Yes I'm Islam since born, faithful, did some Sunnah, capable do tartil Quran, and yet never reading Ahadith books, cause I only depending on ulema intepretatation.

In the last welcome to this forum,

                  Peace ResearchingtheTruth,

Welcome to the forum! I hope you get what you need to learn out of this forum... I have in more ways than one, by the leave of Allah swt.

The Quran is definitely against racism. Iblis can be considered the first racist and is unrepentant and is admonished by Allah swt for his arrogance, hate and jealousy etc. The Quran is also against judging by labels - whether the People of the Book, desert Arabs, Pagans or anyone, including Sunni, Shia and so on. As I've mentioned before on this forum, Allah swt is the true friend and nothing can replace His friendship towards us, if He chooses to bring us closer to Him. Sometimes I want to say He is our only friend and that humans really aren't friends with each other because many are so flippant with each other. To Allah is the return. He will clear all inequity.

Yes, I was taught this as well as a child, which is why I was shocked when I recently found the racist hadiths.

                      Salaam ResearchingtheTruth,

It's certainly a journey from 'conventional' well known Islam to Islam based on the Quran. I was never brought up as a Sunni as such, although that's my general background, it wasn't strict or typically religious. I actually moved towards Paganism and new age spirituality - but I was always trying to make it fit together but it didn't really fit together for me - before looking at the Quran in more depth in recent years.

May Allah swt always guide you on the path that leads straight to Him

                          Assalamu alaykum
I am the only muslim in a isolated christian region.I have a jewish-christian-atheist family back ground and more than 10 years ago I stumbled over a romanian version of the noble Qur'an.As a result I have become a muslim revert,I taught myself standard arabic through the saudi and kuweiti radio.
Yet I reject some of the sunna and various hadith,I don't trust it so far and I will never be circumcised.I thank God there are muslims who believe in the holy Qur'an alone.Even today my only connection with the muslim world is this holy scripture, the salat and the sawm.I think everybody who confess the shahaadah has the right to be considered muslim.Even the Sufi ,Shia ,Ibadi, ahmadi, etc
Although I do not share all their beliefs,I discovered the qawwali music and I am a big fan of it.I do not think dhikr is a sin, let Allah judge this innovation. For me the essence of Islam is the confession and the coran. The rest does not matter so much and separates people rather then uniting them.
                          I am definitely a secularist.

                            Salaam alfarwq,

                            welcome to this forum.

Yeah I am also a secularist handshake

                            So you are a Romanian?

Hmmmm if you want to learn the Qur'an meaning and be able read Qur'an without translation, I recommend you to learn Classical Arabic.

Yeah sectarians are often intolerant. They often think that they are the only true Muslims and believe that others will go to hell voodoo

I think most Quran-only muslims only accept and follow the Quran as the source of Islamic law and Fiqh. It's saddening that many translations of Quran especially in English are erroneous and make Quran look like a book of hate '( . It's because the translators use traditional sources to translate Quran.

Have you ever tried Quran translations on Free Minds (Quran- Monotheist Translation)?

                            May God bless you. pr

                            Kind regards,
                            Yuliana
