    I understand

    But I say also

allahumma salli ala Muhammad wallah ali Muhammad
cama salaita ala Ibrahim wallah ali Ibrahim
wa barik ala Muhammad wallah ali ala Muhammad
cama barakta ala Ibrahim wallah ali Ibrahim
    fil alamina inntaka hamidon Majid

It this wrong? If this is wrong what shall i then say?

Red highlight above is from me.

1st Salaat MUST be for remembrance of ALLAAH, swt, ALONE. We must NOT commemorate anyone else in our salaats at all. See 2014 among other verses below.

Verily I, I am ALLAAH, there is no god but I, thus serve me and establish the salaat for My remembrance.

2nd After your second SUJDAH in your second RUK'AH, sit, and simply say "Ash-hadu-allaa-ilaaha-illALLAAHU, wahhdahu, laa shareeka lah". Then stand up for the third RUK'AH. If you're doing your last ruk'ah then right after the above SHAHAADAH, say your SALAAM as you always do and finish your salaat.

    Peace,
    Khalil

      Salam!

Im sorry. It was wrong to say that. But many muslims think muhammed (Peace be upon him) is more inportant than the others prophets.

      salaam+

Again no Aaleyah! In islaam every prophet had a community, people, or nation and each community, people or nation had to give their prophet its respect and honour. We are called the community or nation or people of muhammad (S+) and we give him that honour and respect.
I will show you many statements of the prophet (S+) where he stated how great other prophets(s+) were. The ignorance of the people concerning this has caused a great confusion in the matter. If you follow the qur'aan, then you belong to the community of muhammad(S+). Continue seeking the advice of all as much as you can. You shall surely find the right way inshaa ALLAAH. Ask yourself this important question on your journey of knowledge to seek the lord, "How do I know who are the best to give me advice?" May ALLAAH guide all to his right way inshaa ALLAAH

Most of the things that you have said about Muslims are completely untrue. They would find it extremely insulting and then say that you are nothing but a distorter. That does not mean that everything that certain Muslims say are true. Just continue to seek knowledge! My suggestion to you is follow the islaam that you were originally taught and after a full study correct yourself as to what you understand is best for you. Do not enter islaam by the wrong opinion of other Muslims. That is my best advice to you. I very seldom have answered someone as much as I have tried to answer you. I fear that you will be thrown completely off track in another wilderness of confusion. May ALLAAH guide all inshaa ALLAAH.

              w/salaam,

              Salam!

I pray 5 times day. And said "ashadu anla illaha illa la wa shadu an anna muhammada rasullulah in the prayer. It that wrong?

Firstly, please do no take anything that is said on this forum or anywhere as the truth, including my own posts. There are two things one must get right no matter what they say in their salat or how many times they do it

              1. sincerity
              2. try your best

With regard to your questions, please see Quran 2014 - Verily I, I am The God, there is no god but I, thus serve me and establish the salaat/bond for My remembrance.

Also you may find this article helpful http//mypercept.co.uk/articles/quran_on_salat.htm

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

                    salaam

I have seen many on this forum mocking the rites and rituals of umra/hajj. Such mockery does create doubt in one's mind, but I have kept my feeling neutral, as I was taken 'back stage', on Channel 4 a few years back. I saw millions of Muslims, despite being so undisciplined in every day life, were offering prayers in a unified ordered manner during hajj. This scene left the TV commentator gobsmacked; he kept saying "amazing scene"! Recently I was gobsmacked as I've come to understand the significance of all the rites of hajj and umra. I am sure that, once the world understand those signs, no doubts will remain who is rightly guided.

At the moment I am not fully sure about prayers; how many, how to do it right etc. so until I acquire a solid understanding I continue to pray traditional number of raka, as above, making sure to be focused on the qibla.

                    AS-SALAWAAT must be at least 4 to have a MIDDLE room for AS-SALAATULWUSTA, i.e. 2, as-salaatulwustaa, 2.
Therefore, the minimum number of daily sallaats are 2+1(middle prayer)+2=5

You say above that SALAWAAT must be which shows you are not sure and then you go on to say Therefore, the minimum number of daily sallaats are ..... what sort of conclusion is that confused

Now I have 2 questions for you then right after the above SHAHAADAH, say your SALAAM
saying salaam to whom and why?
Secondly its a matter of decent etiquette to say thanks to those who do you a favour, or to send blessings to those who have done you great favour, so how does one do that?

                    salaam

At the moment I am not fully sure about prayers; how many, how to do it right etc. so until I acquire a solid understanding I continue to pray traditional number of raka, as above, making sure to be focused on the qibla.

Just follow the people in your mosque, but do not mention other than ALLAAH, swt, in your salaat and ATHZAAN.

You say above that SALAWAAT must be which shows you are not sure and then you go on to say Therefore, the minimum number of daily sallaats are ..... what sort of conclusion is that confused

All I was trying to get across is that the verse 2238 sets the minimum number of daily ritual prayers/SALAATS at 5 times a day, and I am SURE about that.

Now I have 2 questions for you then right after the above SHAHAADAH, say your SALAAM
saying salaam to whom and why?

Finishing congregational salaat you turn your face to the person on your right and say "Assalaamu alaykum wa rahhmatullaah", then to the one on your left and say the same, like its been practiced for centuries from the beginning.

Secondly its a matter of decent etiquette to say thanks to those who do you a favour, or to send blessings to those who have done you great favour, so how does one do that?

I don't quite understand this question. If you mean mentioning of Muhammad and Ebraaheem and their families and others in your salaat, then that is against The Qur'aan.

                            Peace,
                            Khalil

So you totally reject the fact that salat must only mention and glorify God alone?
So you totally reject the truth in the Quran that we are not allowed to make distinction between prophets?

I love Muhammad but it doesn't mean I have to idolize, worship and SET HIM UP AS PARTNER WITH GOD.

So you are saying that Muhammad was superior whilst Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Noah et cetera were inferior? You make distinction between prophets and glorify Muhammad, Abraham and their families in your SALAT and set up Muhammad as partner with GOD?
I don't understand while there are so many people give Muhammad a god-like status.

Anyways, yes, he was a great person.

Yes sister. As long as your salaat is for ALLAAH's REMEMBRANCE and for His COMMEMORATION alone, you are following The Qur'aan.

                                Peace,
                                Khalil

                                Salam!

I understand. Im just little confusted because im afraid I have to say Muhammeds (pbuh) name too. Because many muslims do it. I dont want to came to hell. But im agree With you. muhammed (pbuh) is a big prophet but not like God. So I shall listening to you who knows more than I and say the prayer With just the name of Allah

                                  Salam!

No no, i dont reject that totally. Im justy afraid that I pray on the wrong way since the most muslims say Muhammeds (pbuh) name. But im agree With you. I have think about it this night, and dreamt about it. and you have right. I have to pray to Allah alone.

You make very bold and false statements about others based upon either willful distortion or extreme ignorance.

                                    VERY GOOD BRO.
Thanks for attacking me without giving me the proof that I am wrong.

Alhamdulillah. Yes. We have to pray to ALLAH ALONE. Allah is the one who created this perfect universe, made rain fall from the clouds, made the sun shine, so that fruits and vegetables grow so that we have food to eat and a means to live. Allah did this. Not Muhammad. Muhammad delivered Allah's message and did a great job. Muhammad was a great MAN and prophet and trust me, he doesn't need our blessings. But only Allah is worthy of worship. Do you really think that when Prophet Muhammad was alive, he sent blessings on himself during Salat? Did he recite "Durood", which isn't even in Quran? Or did he worship Allah alone? Be honest with yourself. What do YOU think?

The only difference between Christians and Sunnis is that... Christians openly worship Jesus. Sunnis won't admit it, but they worship Muhammad.

i think Mohammed worshiped God alone. Im sure about that.

How can you make such a false statement,"Sunnis won't admit it, but they worship Muhammad.". On what bases do you make such a statement? Do you worship lies, but will not admit it?
