I asked you to translate two aayaats in other thread but came to know that you cannot translate them. Anyways, can you please tell me your understand on the following aayat?

    572

I will translate only the red highlighted part as my question remains there in.

572 They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the Maseeh, the son of Maryam".....

As per your understanding / claim for the word of Allah, following is the translation of the above aayat.

572 They have certainly disbelieved who say the one who is not a deity to worship is the Maseeh, the son of Maryam.....

Interesting! Christians are right in their views then! hmm

I saw many of these kind of verses that I couldn't explain before and started doubting whether what I believed was right, but then I got answers, and pretty much I regard every translation I can't understand ( if I can it has to be reasonable and using Classical Arabic ) as absolutely nothing until I know what it means. Ask Badar for a translation, I'm sure this can be explained. If your translation was right this wouldn't even make sense since Jesus is not Isa and he's nothing but a fictional character.

p.s remember Allah ( who is not God ) is the perfect anti-name, it is neither a name nor not a name, so translating it like that trying to give a whole different meaning to the verse because of "Allah" makes no sense.

Iam so confused lately ... if Quran says it is easy to read then why are there so many contradicting intrepretations?

I know the question is rhetorical..we are supposed to use our mind/logic/reason to deduce its meaning. But still.....

Should we follow the monotheist/Quran alone approach or the approach where ppl say salah is not really prayer, Hajj is nt what its supposed to be & Allah is not to be worshipped/glorified/exalted in the literal sense?

Also about Hajj...after reading some articles im beginning to doubt if kaaba is really the place of 'The Pilgrimage' or is it in Jerusalem near the Dome of the rock? -\ Would performing Hajj (tawaf) equal to pagan ritual ? &

It's up to humans to research the meaning. Saying god should preserve the meaning means that god would be whispering the verse's meaning to human's hears. How do you want to preserve the meaning in scriptures? Times always change and you can't have a fixed meaning like you have a fixed, written text such as the quran. Binding the meaning of it in text would mean we have to follow stuff like hadith. After all hadith are supposed to be the meaning of the quran, according to hadithists.

Who said the Quran is easy to read? BTW easy to read and understand are two different things.

I assumed they refer to the verse that says Al Quran contains all of what we need and is easy to understand (something like that). I wish I could give you an exact quote but I can't remember even which surah it was in. Maybe someone can help?

Nefertiti I've found it hugely confusing too. I have wondered since Al Quran is not completely specific about many things and many practices whether it's important for Muslims to be ''the same''. Maybe it's ok to be different.

Like when it comes to this question of ''how do we know how to pray without hadith?" (I may self-combust if I get asked that again...). If it doesn't say how we must do it then my 'feeling' (just my feeling mind you) is that how we do it can't be the most important thing.

Yes you may be right there. I've had a cursory look and can not find anything.

Maybe since it says the book is complete and a 'clarification' for all things (1689) I may have assumed it must not be as hard as many Muslims keep saying. )

                Salaam,

They might be talking about 5417, 22, 32 and 40.

But all these aayaats say that AlQuraan has been made easy to REMEMBER not to understand.

It is not preserved because it was a revelation to one man, Muhammad, and it was never intended to be a religion "en masse", but just his own workbook for self-help, as he often says in the Qur'an "my Lord" many times... I follow my religion and you follow yours, I worship what I worship and you... etc etc...

I take it you do not consider your self to be a Muslim - in the traditional sense?

Also - considering what you said above

How do you reconcile that with the fact that many verses allude to Quran being a revelation for the people?

"This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah -"

Yes, whoever raises his mind to the level of consciousness which symbolizes Allah, same as Muhammad achieved... that;s why it is said "for those" and not for everybody!

But you are NOT that person - in the sense you consider yourself above everyone - are you? And obviously no one is going to be similar to the Blessed Prophet himself. And the verse is there for everyone - that is everyone can attain that level.

And you have not answered this

It is not preserved because it was a revelation to one man, Muhammad, and it was never intended to be a religion "en masse", but just his own workbook for self-help, as he often says in the Qur'an "my Lord" many times... Look this contradicts what you are saying now. You've clearly said - that Quran was only for one man - but the book itself says it isn't.

It seems that you have your own formed opinions as you demonstrated all over the place, so I cannot add anything to it.

And what about you? Are you going to shed some more light . . . or is that it? Not very helpful is it? In your view - how does a person reach such a stage?

In other words - one will never know - who or who isn't rightly guided - and there is no criteria for measurement either!
