Some of the lessons learnt from Qur?an that applies to our general living!-
Respect and honor all human beings irrespective of their religion, color, race, sex, language, status, property, birth, profession/job and so on

Talk straight, to the point, without any ambiguity or deception

Choose best words to speak and say them in the best possible way
-
Do not shout. Speak politely keeping your voice low.

Always speak the truth. Shun words that are deceitful and ostentatious
-
Do not confuse truth with falsehood

Say with your mouth what is in your heart
-
Speak in a civilized manner in a language that is recognized by the society and is commonly used
-
When you voice an opinion, be just, even if it is against a relative

Do not be a bragging boaster
-
Do not talk, listen or do anything vain
-
Do not participate in anything insignificant. If you pass near pointless amusement, then pass by with dignity
-
Do not verge upon any immodesty or lewdness whether secretly or observably .
-
If, unintentionally, any misconduct occurs by you, then correct yourself expeditiously .

Do not be sneering or arrogant with people
-
Do not walk in a self-aggrandizing way or with pride
-
Be moderate in your pace
-
Walk with humility and thoughtfulness
-
Keep your gazes lowered devoid of any lecherous leers and scandalous stares .

If you do not have complete knowledge about anything, better keep your mouth shut. You might think that speaking about something without full knowledge is a trivial matter. But it might have grave consequences
-
When you hear something cruel about someone, keep a favorable view about him/her until you attain full knowledge about the matter. Consider others innocent until they are proven guilty with solid and truthful evidence
-
Determine the truth of any news, lest you smite someone in ignorance and afterwards repent of what you did
-
Do not follow blindly any information of which you have no direct knowledge. (Using your faculties of perception and conception) you must verify it for yourself. In the Court of your Lord, you will be held accountable for your hearing, sight, and the faculty of reasoning .

Never think that you have reached the final stage of knowledge and nobody knows more than yourself. Remember! Above everyone endowed with knowledge is another endowed with more knowledge . Even the Prophet was asked to keep praying, "O My sustainer! Advance me in knowledge."

The believers are but a single Brotherhood. Live like members of one family, brothers and sisters unto one another .

Do not make mockery of others or ridicule others
-
Do not insult others
-
Do not insult others by nicknames
-
Avoid suspicion and speculation. Suspicion and speculation might diminish your mutual energy
-
Spy not upon one another
-
Do not backbite one another
-
When you meet each other, offer good wishes and blessings for safety. One who conveys to you a message of safety and security and also when a polite greeting is offered to you, meet it with a greeting still more polite or (at least) of equal courtesy

When you enter your own home or the home of somebody else, compliment the inmates
-
Do not enter houses other than your own until you have sought permission; and then greet the inmates and wish them a life of blessing, purity and pleasure
-
Treat kindly
" Your parents
" Relatives
" The orphans
" And those who have been left alone in the society
" Your related neighbors, and unrelated neighbors
" Companions by your side in public gatherings, or public
transportation. -
Take care of
" The needy,
" The disabled
" Those whose hard earned income is insufficient to meet their needs
" And those whose businesses have stalled
" And those who have lost their jobs. -
Be generous to the needy wayfarer, the homeless son of the street, and the one who reaches you in a destitute condition

Be nice to people who work under your care
-
Do not follow up what you have given to others to afflict them with reminders of your generosity .

Do not expect a return for your good behavior, not even thanks
-
Cooperate with one another in good deeds and do not cooperate with others in evil and bad matters
-
Do no try to impress people on account of self-proclaimed virtues
-
You should enjoin right conduct on others but mend your own ways first. Actions speak louder than words. You must first practice good deeds yourself, then preach
-
Correct yourself and your families first
-
Pardon gracefully if anyone among you who commits a bad deed out of ignorance, and then repents and amends
-
Divert and sublimate your anger and potentially dangerous emotions
to creative energy, and become a source of tranquility and comfort to people -
Call people to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful exhortation. Reason with them most decently
-
Leave to themselves those who do not give any importance to the Divine code and have adopted and consider it as mere play and amusement
-
Sit not in the company of those who ridicule Divine Law unless they engage in some other conversation
-
Do not be jealous of those who are blessed
-
In your collective life, make rooms for others
-
When invited to dine, go at the appointed time. Do not arrive too early to wait for the preparation of meal or linger after eating to engage in useless chat. Such things may cause inconvenience to the host

Eat and drink in moderation .

Do not squander your wealth senselessly
-
Fulfill your promises and commitments
-
Keep yourself clean, pure .
-
Dress-up in agreeable attire and adorn yourself with exquisite character from inside out
-
Seek your provision only by fair Endeavour
-
Do not devour the wealth and property of others unjustly, nor bribe the officials or the judges to deprive others of their possessions
Aisha (ra) said, "If you want to know what Muhammad was like, then read the Qur'an." Our beloved Prophet was the perfect exemplar of a 'walking Qur'an'. All of those ayaat above are in concordance with the Sunnah. To reject the Sunnah in its moral practical aspect is to reject some of these ayaat.

The following verses contradict the verse you gave.. in these verses you will find DISCRIMINATION based on Religion and Satatus etc
288 Allah hath cursed them for their unbelief. Little is that which they believe.
289 The curse of Allah is on disbelievers.
290 They have incurred anger upon anger. For disbelievers is a shameful doom.
296 And thou wilt find them greediest of mankind for life and than the idolaters.
298 Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers.
2221 Wed not idolatresses till they believe; for lo! a believing bondwoman is better than an idolatress
2221 for lo! a believing slave is better than an idolater
2222 They question thee (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation. Say It is an illness, so let women alone at such times
Verse 2222 is not only scientificaly wrong, it is also discrimatory
More Discrimination based on gender is found in 2223
2223 Your women are a tilth for you so go to your tilth as ye will
3118 O ye who believe! Take not for intimates others than your own folk, who would spare no pains to ruin you; they love to hamper you. Hatred is revealed by their mouths, but that which their breasts hide is greater
411 Allah chargeth you concerning your children to the male the equivalent of the portion of two females, and if there be women more than two, then theirs is two-thirds of the inheritance, and if there be one then the half.
FORCED INHERITANCE of WOMAN Slaves
419 O ye who believe! It is not lawful for you forcibly to inherit the women , nor ye should put constraint upon them that ye may take away a part of that which ye have given them, UNLESS they be guilty of flagrant lewdness
So if woman are guilty (guilty according to who) they may become YOUR Property roll
Some equality and respect for Human rights
Next we have Instructions for WIFE SWAPPING
420 And if ye wish to exchange one wife for another and ye have given unto one of them a sum of money, take nothing from it. Would ye take it by the way of calumny and open wrong ?
Next FORCED Married WOMAN are forbidden EXCEPT Married Slave WOMAN
424 And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those whom your right hands possess.
NEXT we have more Discrimination and insults against Woman
4117 They invoke in His stead only females; they pray to none else than Satan, a rebel

I did not find a single contradiction there but I see two fallacies in your argument
- Reliance on English Translation; which is a feeble move to make
- Misunderstanding and misreplacement of the ayaat you quoted
Most of those ayaat you quoted dealt with the 'disbelievers'. In Arabic, a disbeliever is known as a 'kafir'. Kafir comes from the word kufr and its root word is 'Ka Fa Ra' which means hiding, denying, rejecting, and covering.
Let's say you are a teacher at class. Everytime you give a quiz and test to the class, there is this one kid that always cheats and never admits it; he denies what you saw. Does it anger you as a teacher? Obviously it does.
The same goes with Allah and those who reject Him by denial (i.e., Kafir). They are the ones who have seen the truth but still reject it out of erroneous desires and pursuits.
The kafir is not a single race, status, color, ethnicity, religion and so on. A kafir can be black, white, yellow etc. A kafir can be rich or poor. A kafir can be Pakistani, Arab, American, African or so on. A kafir can be Jewish, Christian, or even Muslim!

It must be understood in its proper context otherwise we can always change it to suit our desire. Like the Qur'an says, it can both guide and misguide people. If you want it to guide you, you must stick to its context and implication. If you want it to misguide you, then do the work of the one who denies the usage of Qur'an even though he knows how to do it.
This ayah is saying that people should not judge individuals on their religion, color, race, sex, language, status, property, birth, profession/job and so on. We are all the Children of Adam.
Again, none of the ayaat you quoted contradicted this ayah. The actual ayah reads as follows
1770 Verily we have honoured the Children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment.
It's basically saying that the Children of Adam are on the same boat. Another ayah which is more direct on this issue is as follows
4913 O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).
You will never find a better universal human declaration than this one ayah of Qur'an.

And yes, it will remain uncorrupted. The Sunnah includes the sayings, commentaries, actions, agreements, and strategies of Prophet Muhammad (saw), and the Sahaba.

Just to let you know, we have a members of different faiths/beliefs, so don't be surprised when some claim you have to follow traditional hadith, or others who believe that jesus is god.Hope that helps,

The Sunnah includes the sayings, commentaries, actions, agreements, and strategies of Prophet Muhammad (saw), and the Sahaba.
The quran contains the teachings of Allah which explains the straight path, shows us exemplary actions , how we should keep to our contracts and what we should do be there breaches therein. It devises the sought after struggle.

the prophet Mohammed(pbuh) was a messenger of God and the message was Quran.
so, then, why should the prophet's life and sayings other than the Quran be followed, by the believers of Allah? is there a mention in Quran by God, asking us to copy the prophet's way of life? -

i have been reading over the site and some of the forums too.the fact that people(of different faiths) are ready to open up and discuss their religion and views is whats nice about this site.
the majority of muslims follow their elders blindly coz they fear God(coz they are taught He might throw them in Hell). Quran doesnt tell us to practice blind beliefs and practices. Quran tells us to use our common sense and knowledge. -

Anyways, the Quran clearly mentions to refer to the previous scripture when in doubt about something. God asks us to follow the truth. God also says there is truth in the previous scriptures.
