      There is alot of misunderstanding, language confusion and communication problems regarding this topic.

      Unless I'm mistaken, the core of what 'muslims' is saying is that

      • All that exists is Allah. Only Allah is Allah, but Creation is part of Allah, but infinitely lesser, yet still part. But being part of Allah is not the same as being Allah. So when 'muslims' says that we are Allah it doesn't mean that the mere sum of all of us are what is called Allah, or that all Creation together makes up the full Allah.

      • We are part of creation, but we are not a separate thing from Allah. Think of it like there isn't a space where there is 1) Allah and outside/beside Allah, in this "space" is 2) creation. What 'muslims' is trying to convey is that Allah is not a separate entity. He is rejecting this fragmentation. What he calls God, by definition, and which he rejects the existence of, is precisely the notion of a separate divine entity existing apart from Creation.

      I'm ready to be corrected if I have misunderstood.

        I still don't really know what is exactly member 'muslims' believe in.

        Back then, he ever posted this reply to me.

        Of course, when people mention about a certain religion, I will answer to my self.. "that is my religion". All these faiths are my religion. I am an Atheist, Sunnist, Shi'ite, Hadither, Quranist/Submitter/Code 19, Hinduist, Buddhist, Taoist, Judist, Christian, Sikhist, Spiritualist, Humanist, Satanist, Luciferianist and practising all other faiths, not prostrating to Allah Alone or ByGod, but both to Allah and Adam.

        I practices ALL KNOWN RELIGIONS, AND BEYOND RELIGIONS!

          Thank you Zulf and the core of what I'm saying is the premises in the shahada.

          The idea or concept of God is for human understanding
          human created this "word"
          human created this "idea" and "concept" etc
          and Allah explains according to human understanding, but reserve its true meaning in Chapter 112.

          and the Shahada infers that Allah is not God because the first premise is "No God"
          If Allah is "God", then it will nullify its own premise of "No God"

          . . .

          I believe the Shahada cannot be used to define Allah.
          It can only be used to define ourselves, and finding our path to Allah.

          There are two ways we can find our path to Allah.

          1. Death (No God/Self . .therefore self is God)

          | | Before Life | | Present Life | | Afterlife

          | | This is reality | | This is not reality | | This is reality

          | | No God/Self (0) | | God/Self (1) | | No God/Self (0)

          | | Allah (1) | | Allah (1) | | Allah (1)

          | | Allah really exists to us | | Allah do not exists to us | | Allah really exists to us

          1. Live, but with full understanding of "No God/Self".
            ie. Self is "0"
            and not Self is "1" (I am God)
            Allah not really exists to us because "God/Self" (1) + Allah (1)

          but Creation is part of Allah, but infinitely lesser, yet still part. But being part of Allah is not the same as being Allah. So when 'muslims' says that we are Allah it doesn't mean that the mere sum of all of us are what is called Allah, or that all Creation together makes up the full Allah.

          Allah is Ahad . . . Oneness and cannot be broken down into parts or fragments, and there is no inside or outside Allah.

          Nor was he begotten . . . There is no other god or form of existence from which He could have originated.

            Then I believe the statement contradict itself, "no other divinity than divinity".

            It nullifies its own premise, and it is duality.

              It nullifies nothing. There is no other divine-like energy/determining factor besides what is referred to as "Allah". It is a stand-alone force completely independent from anything else. There is nothing nullifying or fallible with that statement.

              You do not possess god-like powers do you? Can you create things?

              Perhaps you do not have faith and are an atheist so what do you really have faith in? You think what is called Quran is written by people like you alone without any influence from any god?

              Edit Or are you hung up on that term "god"? If so you are free to use another word like The Master. Of course it is not a manlike entity but an energy of some kind present all over universe.

              Edit2 I have an easier clarification. God is a position of power so the word "god" is used as a title. This is why you say there is no other god than The God because there is only one with the title God.

                The idea of "God" was never existed at all. . it is human terms and the Quran speaks in human terms for human understanding.

                Since Allah is "1", it means , no "0" besides "0"

                . . .

                "Allah" does not translate in any language (including mathematics) to "1". The only thing it translates to is "The God" and hence this is a descriptive phrase, NOT a name or number.

                Other verses describe this God as being singular and not plural/many, such as "Allah hu ahad." translates to "The God is one".

                The question is, how does your own premise make any sense to you?

                On the other hand , "I am God", and Allah says "No God"
                Therefore, there is no "I". . because "No God" is referring to "I am God"
                and also. . ."You are God", "They are God". . . etc.

                Because what is 10 ?
                10 is 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1

                What is 20?
                20 is 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 +1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1

                It is all "1", there is no "2" or "3". . it is all "1"

                and if "I am God" (1) is not equal to "No God" (0)
                then 1 (I am God) + 1 (Allah) is equal to no reality
                We are blind by our own spotlights. . .

                For reality and strength etc to exists. . there must be 0 (No God) + 1 (Allah), ie. the "I" must not exists, "No God"

                I would like to remind you that where (the Quran) you get "No god but God", you have ignored 90% of the rest of it. Your assertion of there being no concept of "duality" at all is also flawed. Your assertion that there is no "I" is also flawed.

                You are apparently confused as to who we are. Let me tell you then, we are "Khalaq" i.e. "Created". And we were created in "Pairs" (duality concept) - the male and the female. God is not "Created" and is neither male nor female (Even if we incorrectly translate from the Quran and refer to God as He/Him/His)., God is the "Creator". The exclusive singularity only applies to the Creator. Therefore the Creator is a separate entity. We are from this Creator, but not part of It. More over, "we" are addressed in the Quran as "in-saan" i.e. human and definitely NOT god as you are trying to prove.

                My friend you are deeply confused and in error. My suggestion would be to not pluck Quranic verses in isolation, as you have done with verse 334 in one of your posts, because then you lose context and it's not only the meaning that changes, any skewed interpretation can be applied to it, as you have done in this topic.

                Quran 334 is about the prophet Muhammad's relationships with others and not an analogy to "no god but God". Don't take my word for it, read from 331 to 334 yourself. Someone please correct me if I have made a mistake here*.

                  Guys, I have "debated" a lot with him on this issue so I understand what he means.
                  He can't accept that Allah is translated into God in English.

                    He is accepting that 'Al-lah' is often translated into 'God'; he is just saying that it has been translated (and thought of) incorrectly. And I agree. I also believe that 'Al-lah' in arabic does not translate properly into 'God', I just end up using 'God' so people know what I am talking about. However I wouldn't say it translates from 'Al-lah' to the numeral '1' either, but rather 'the One'.

                    As '1' and 'the One' as in 'your real/true self' are obviously different concepts in english and I suspect, in other languages too. 'God' and 'the One' are the same concept to me, but most people think of 'God' as if He were 'a god' i.e. a big spirit in the sky which controls their life and whom they have to please all of the time whilst feeling themselves separate from this all-powerful being. Is understandable as this is the way we grow up - as helpless beings under the control of our all-powerful parents who we realise are separate from us. It's easy to continue this with the idea of God existing as separate from us...

                    Muslims is right when he says this is an error, it is another form of idolatry to believe in the existence of this sky persona known as 'God' when it doesn't exist there is only yourself as 'the One'. That is, your TRUE self not your ego which also doesn't exist. Who wonders about the existence of themselves except someone who has gone mad or is heart-broken? For a sane, well person it would be ridiculous - of course they exist, no question. If someone were to say 'I am a god' or saying 'I am god' as an instruction to other humans then that is them making their ego God/'the One' which is yes - all gross blasphemy. But saying to yourself 'I am God' cannot be wrong. This is where I was going with my thread 'we are God' i.e. that everyone is to think of themselves as 'the One' and to stop looking for it outside of themselves. The greatest test in life is whether you are going to stay true to yourself or not, I think.

                    Jesus said in the Gospel that the kingdom of God is inside of you . One of my favourite psalms which I displayed in the pictures below is 4610 'Be still and know that I am God' i.e. be still and be present with yourself. It says in the Quran that God/'the One' blew into us with His spirit. He also says that we can never fully know Him. Of course. Who ever really knows themself? No-one. Most of our 'mind' is our sub-conscious. Hence my tagline 'to know yourself is to know God' Is a fallacy. Like a riddle - as of course it can never happen in our lifetime. But that is the direction to go in I think inwards.

                        Peace brother, there's nothing to be gained by responding sarcastically, though I share your incredulity at what we ve been reading here. While it is possible for a minority to get something right, something to be right requires sound logic, something that is lacking in the case in point.

                        @ I am sorry Jane, unless you are a native Arabic speaker, or you are linguistically expert at Arabic, or you have been living in the Middle East for half a decade or more at the very very least, your claim of knowing the correct translation of "Allah" is completely unjustified, much less capable of any credibility. I sometimes feel people come up with their own desire filled ideas without properly understanding, and reflecting on the Quran - whatever they have read, I personally think that such ideas are born due to a complete lack of knowledge and reflection on whatever data is acquired by a person. This is mere conjecture and wish washy stuff.

                        "The one" in Arabic would be "Al-waahid". "Al-awal" would be "the first". "Al-Ahad" would be "The one and only". If you have read the Quran you will no doubt know that God has not created this universe except that it and every thing in it worships God. So what is this being true to yourself? How can you be? The Quran warns us to be aware of God and to "restrain the self". Hence our very lives and every thing is dedicated to God and God's pleasure if we are believers.

                        I am under the impression Jane, that you are using the bible to confirm the Quran, when this is in conflict with the Quran's claim of confirming original concepts and invalidating man introduced ideas into earlier scriptures. "Be still and know that I am God", this is the foundation of the Christian faith, I.e. since prophet Jesus is believed by Christians to be the son of God, hence he is God. Prophet Jesus did not say anything of the like nor could he say such a thing, If you believe the Quran to be God's revelation ofcourse.The Quran acknowledges this and absolutely denies such nonsense. The fact that the Quran acknowledges the existence of this idea, confirms that this idea of Jesus being God - "Be still and know that I am God" was not mis-translated nor misunderstood but injected by humans, corrupting scripture. What you quote from the Quran - that God blew from Its spirit, agreed, but are we told anything else? no! When you practically know nothing about what the spirit is or its nature, do you say about God what you know not without knowledge?

                        Also, this is proof from the Quran, "God called to Moses from the burning bush", "Moses said My Lord let me look upon You" God said " you will not see me...." All this 100% refers to a separate entity. And the parting of the sea, was that the feat of Israelites and Moses? Or was it God's?

                        "And man was created weak/frail". How can you say that we are not helpless? We are completely helpless if you seriously think about it, all we can do is make choices. Even after that there is only so much we can do, we are in constant need of God's help and sustenance. It is God who is without need. Are you without any kind of need? I don't think so. And this is from the Quran, "God is without need". If you were a part, even a mere minuscule part of God you would be without need. No, we are created beings by the Creator we know as "The God" and so we are separate, yet heavily dependent.

                          I.e, you do not think there is a superpower in the galaxies. What do you get from reading the book called "Quran"? It is quite absurd to say it is idolatry to have faith in that superpower.

                          And sure we have a part of God in some ways as we are on the same platform, and we live within that platform. But as for God that is a tremendously greater power than us weaklings of humans. We are creations.

                          With your thinking you will need to explain the creation and how it came into existence. It will likely lack a viable explanation. Your faith is approximately similar to those who do not have faith at all, god or not, atheists.

                            Let's make it simple. . do you understand the "structure of an argument" and "legal or word structure of the Quran" ?

                            or. .even simpler, can you read statutory law?

                            For example. ..

                            Penal Code Fabricating false evidence

                            1. Whoever causes any circumstances to exist, or makes any false entry in any book or record, or makes any document containing a false statement, intending that such circumstance, false entry, or false statement may appear in evidence in a judicial proceeding, or in a proceeding taken by law before a public servant as such, or before an arbitrator, and that such circumstance, false entry or false statement, so appearing in evidence, may cause any person, who in such proceeding is to form an opinion upon the evidence, to entertain an erroneous opinion touching any point material to the result of such proceeding, is said ?to fabricate false evidence?.

                            Let say you are the Prosecutor, how many elements do you need to prove for charging a person on the offence of fabricating false evidence?

                            ie. for establishing a prima facie case. . .

                            Can you list each of the elements from the above section?
                            So that we can say the offender is committing an offence of fabricating false evidence. . .

                            Please also draft the charges. . .

                                I rest my case, you and whoever is agreeing with you has turned a blind eye to whatever I have cited from the Quran. So to you is whatever you please, to me is what makes sense to me.

                                Do note though

                                The God - there is no god except It. Will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. And who is more truthful than The God in statement? (487)

                                "Do they not consider the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever things The God has created, and that may be their doom shall have drawn nigh; In which narrative would they then believe in after this?" (7185)

                                "These are the verses of The God which We recite to you with truth; then in which narrative would they believe after The God and Its verses? Woe to every sinful liar, Who hears the verses of The God recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment. And when he comes to know of any of Our verses, he takes it for a jest; these it is that shall have abasing chastisement." (456-9)

                                "And of the people is he who purchases vain narratives to lead astray from The God's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. And when Our verses are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement." (316-7)

                                    Can you please give us a single verse from the entire Quran, just one single verse from the whole Quran where Allah directly / unambiguously tells us that we are gods?

                                    You quote the verse where Allah says "there is no god...". This part - "there is no god" is NOT sufficient evidence to assert that we are gods. I am kindly asking you that can you please show us a single verse from ONLY the Quran without reffering to any other man-made books where Allah Himself has said that we are gods?

                                    I am asking you a question very simply, so you also please reply simply by quoting a single verse from the Quran which clearly says what you are saying, i.e. we are gods.

                                        Again dear brother muslims, you have quoted 1124 which does not explicitly say that we are gods. You are simply ignoring all other clear verses of the Quran and quoting a few verses without understanding their true meanings and somehow trying to connect them indirectly with your concept of we being gods.

                                          The word "NOR" and "ANY EQUIVALENT" exclude the "duality" of any "matter and concept" understand by human beings.

                                          Therefore, the word "GOD' must have its structure or "interpretation provision". . . .
                                          because "God" is also referring to so many things in the Quran, including self, scholars, prophets etc
                                          it is "equivalent" and contradicting 112.4

                                          Therefore, how do you explain this "equivalent" of "matter and concept" with Allah ?

                                          Here is the rule for correct interpretation

                                          Do they not reflect on the Qur'an? <-- is referring to the interpretation
                                          If it was from any other than God <-- wrong interpretation
                                          they would have found in it many a discrepancy. <-- if there is discrepancy, it is not the correct interpretation
