He is accepting that 'Al-lah' is often translated into 'God'; he is just saying that it has been translated (and thought of) incorrectly. And I agree. I also believe that 'Al-lah' in arabic does not translate properly into 'God', I just end up using 'God' so people know what I am talking about. However I wouldn't say it translates from 'Al-lah' to the numeral '1' either, but rather 'the One'.

As '1' and 'the One' as in 'your real/true self' are obviously different concepts in english and I suspect, in other languages too. 'God' and 'the One' are the same concept to me, but most people think of 'God' as if He were 'a god' i.e. a big spirit in the sky which controls their life and whom they have to please all of the time whilst feeling themselves separate from this all-powerful being. Is understandable as this is the way we grow up - as helpless beings under the control of our all-powerful parents who we realise are separate from us. It's easy to continue this with the idea of God existing as separate from us...

Muslims is right when he says this is an error, it is another form of idolatry to believe in the existence of this sky persona known as 'God' when it doesn't exist there is only yourself as 'the One'. That is, your TRUE self not your ego which also doesn't exist. Who wonders about the existence of themselves except someone who has gone mad or is heart-broken? For a sane, well person it would be ridiculous - of course they exist, no question. If someone were to say 'I am a god' or saying 'I am god' as an instruction to other humans then that is them making their ego God/'the One' which is yes - all gross blasphemy. But saying to yourself 'I am God' cannot be wrong. This is where I was going with my thread 'we are God' i.e. that everyone is to think of themselves as 'the One' and to stop looking for it outside of themselves. The greatest test in life is whether you are going to stay true to yourself or not, I think.

Jesus said in the Gospel that the kingdom of God is inside of you . One of my favourite psalms which I displayed in the pictures below is 4610 'Be still and know that I am God' i.e. be still and be present with yourself. It says in the Quran that God/'the One' blew into us with His spirit. He also says that we can never fully know Him. Of course. Who ever really knows themself? No-one. Most of our 'mind' is our sub-conscious. Hence my tagline 'to know yourself is to know God' Is a fallacy. Like a riddle - as of course it can never happen in our lifetime. But that is the direction to go in I think inwards.

Peace brother, there's nothing to be gained by responding sarcastically, though I share your incredulity at what we ve been reading here. While it is possible for a minority to get something right, something to be right requires sound logic, something that is lacking in the case in point.

@ I am sorry Jane, unless you are a native Arabic speaker, or you are linguistically expert at Arabic, or you have been living in the Middle East for half a decade or more at the very very least, your claim of knowing the correct translation of "Allah" is completely unjustified, much less capable of any credibility. I sometimes feel people come up with their own desire filled ideas without properly understanding, and reflecting on the Quran - whatever they have read, I personally think that such ideas are born due to a complete lack of knowledge and reflection on whatever data is acquired by a person. This is mere conjecture and wish washy stuff.

"The one" in Arabic would be "Al-waahid". "Al-awal" would be "the first". "Al-Ahad" would be "The one and only". If you have read the Quran you will no doubt know that God has not created this universe except that it and every thing in it worships God. So what is this being true to yourself? How can you be? The Quran warns us to be aware of God and to "restrain the self". Hence our very lives and every thing is dedicated to God and God's pleasure if we are believers.

I am under the impression Jane, that you are using the bible to confirm the Quran, when this is in conflict with the Quran's claim of confirming original concepts and invalidating man introduced ideas into earlier scriptures. "Be still and know that I am God", this is the foundation of the Christian faith, I.e. since prophet Jesus is believed by Christians to be the son of God, hence he is God. Prophet Jesus did not say anything of the like nor could he say such a thing, If you believe the Quran to be God's revelation ofcourse. The Quran acknowledges this and absolutely denies such nonsense. The fact that the Quran acknowledges the existence of this idea, confirms that this idea of Jesus being God - "Be still and know that I am God" was not mis-translated nor misunderstood but injected by humans, corrupting scripture. What you quote from the Quran - that God blew from Its spirit, agreed, but are we told anything else? no! When you practically know nothing about what the spirit is or its nature, do you say about God what you know not without knowledge?

Also, this is proof from the Quran, "God called to Moses from the burning bush", "Moses said My Lord let me look upon You" God said " you will not see me...." All this 100% refers to a separate entity. And the parting of the sea, was that the feat of Israelites and Moses? Or was it God's?

"And man was created weak/frail". How can you say that we are not helpless? We are completely helpless if you seriously think about it, all we can do is make choices. Even after that there is only so much we can do, we are in constant need of God's help and sustenance. It is God who is without need. Are you without any kind of need? I don't think so. And this is from the Quran, "God is without need". If you were a part, even a mere minuscule part of God you would be without need. No, we are created beings by the Creator we know as "The God" and so we are separate, yet heavily dependent.

          Peace,

I.e, you do not think there is a superpower in the galaxies. What do you get from reading the book called "Quran"? It is quite absurd to say it is idolatry to have faith in that superpower.

And sure we have a part of God in some ways as we are on the same platform, and we live within that platform. But as for God that is a tremendously greater power than us weaklings of humans. We are creations.

With your thinking you will need to explain the creation and how it came into existence. It will likely lack a viable explanation. Your faith is approximately similar to those who do not have faith at all, god or not, atheists.

          Yourself as "the One"?

I would like to remind you that where (the Quran) you get "No god but God", you have ignored 90% of the rest of it. Your assertion of there being no concept of "duality" at all is also flawed. Your assertion that there is no "I" is also flawed.

Let's make it simple. . do you understand the "structure of an argument" and "legal or word structure of the Quran" ?

or. .even simpler, can you read statutory law?

            For example. ..

            Penal Code Fabricating false evidence

            1. Whoever causes any circumstances to exist, or makes any false entry in any book or record, or makes any document containing a false statement, intending that such circumstance, false entry, or false statement may appear in evidence in a judicial proceeding, or in a proceeding taken by law before a public servant as such, or before an arbitrator, and that such circumstance, false entry or false statement, so appearing in evidence, may cause any person, who in such proceeding is to form an opinion upon the evidence, to entertain an erroneous opinion touching any point material to the result of such proceeding, is said ?to fabricate false evidence?.

Let say you are the Prosecutor, how many elements do you need to prove for charging a person on the offence of fabricating false evidence?

ie. for establishing a prima facie case. . .

Can you list each of the elements from the above section?
So that we can say the offender is committing an offence of fabricating false evidence. . .

Please also draft the charges. . .

              some insights . . .

? who are the elect of the elect, pass beyond this. The august glories of His face burn them up, and the ruling authority of majesty overcomes them. In their essences they are effaced and annihilated. Then become extinct from themselves, so that they cease observing themselves (ie. This is God, and Allah says "No God&quot. Nothing remains save the One, the Real.? al Ghazali, Niche for Lights

              There is Allah, and
There is Us, Gods. . .
              and Allah says "No God"/Self

              . . .

God is desire, God is dreams. . .

Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire?
Then would you be responsible for him?
              25.43

Have you seen he who has taken as his god his desire
and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge
and has set a seal upon his hearing
and his heart and put over his vision a veil?
So who will guide him after Allah ?
Then will you not be reminded?
              45.23

Allah has not made for a man two hearts in his interior. (33.4) (ie. God/Self or Allah, choose one)

I rest my case, you and whoever is agreeing with you has turned a blind eye to whatever I have cited from the Quran. So to you is whatever you please, to me is what makes sense to me.

                Do note though

The God - there is no god except It. Will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. And who is more truthful than The God in statement? (487)

"Do they not consider the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever things The God has created, and that may be their doom shall have drawn nigh; In which narrative would they then believe in after this?" (7185)

"These are the verses of The God which We recite to you with truth; then in which narrative would they believe after The God and Its verses? Woe to every sinful liar, Who hears the verses of The God recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment. And when he comes to know of any of Our verses, he takes it for a jest; these it is that shall have abasing chastisement." (456-9)

"And of the people is he who purchases vain narratives to lead astray from The God's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. And when Our verses are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement." (316-7)

Do you think the Quran is a "comic book" and without structures, logical premises, interpretation provisions, general rules, exceptions and illustrations etc ?

                  ALR,
                  a Book
whose ytuhu ( ) have been made firm
                  then detailed
from One who is Wise, Expert
                  11.1

For example, the IF THEN ELSE statements. . .

                  And

you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls,

marry those that please you of women, two or three or four.

BUT you fear that you will not be just

one or those your right hand possesses.

That is more suitable that you may not incline .

                  4.3

                  another example. . .

                  And

you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant

produce a surah the like thereof
and call upon your witnesses other than Allah ,
                  if you should be truthful.

                  BUT you do not
and you will never be able to

fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for . . .

                  the disbelievers.

                    Dear muslims,

                    May peace be upon you.

Can you please give us a single verse from the entire Quran, just one single verse from the whole Quran where Allah directly / unambiguously tells us that we are gods?

You quote the verse where Allah says "there is no god...". This part - "there is no god" is NOT sufficient evidence to assert that we are gods. I am kindly asking you that can you please show us a single verse from ONLY the Quran without reffering to any other man-made books where Allah Himself has said that we are gods?

I am asking you a question very simply, so you also please reply simply by quoting a single verse from the Quran which clearly says what you are saying, i.e. we are gods.

                    Regards.

NOR is there to Him ANY EQUIVALENT (112.4)

"No duality of matter or concept etc about Allah" (ie. shirk, though some is forgiven) . . .

Try disapprove that statement with "all true premises" and "proper structure of argument"
and as you said, make it clear and simple.

Again dear brother muslims, you have quoted 1124 which does not explicitly say that we are gods. You are simply ignoring all other clear verses of the Quran and quoting a few verses without understanding their true meanings and somehow trying to connect them indirectly with your concept of we being gods.

Of course it is saying like that. . .

The word "NOR" and "ANY EQUIVALENT" exclude the "duality" of any "matter and concept" understand by human beings.

Therefore, the word "GOD' must have its structure or "interpretation provision". . . .
because "God" is also referring to so many things in the Quran, including self, scholars, prophets etc
it is "equivalent" and contradicting 112.4

Therefore, how do you explain this "equivalent" of "matter and concept" with Allah ?

Here is the rule for correct interpretation

Do they not reflect on the Qur'an? <-- is referring to the interpretation
If it was from any other than God <-- wrong interpretation
they would have found in it many a discrepancy. <-- if there is discrepancy, it is not the correct interpretation
                          482

Please answer this issue without using fallacy.

and our journey is to become "NO GOD" (0), voluntarily or by compulsion. . .

This is the description of "NO GOD"

                              Unquestionably, the allies of Allah
                              there will be

nor will they grieve (NO GOD)

AND this how true believers look like in the real world, at least almost . . . NO GOD, NO RELIGION. . . .

                                Peace,

'Nor is there any equivalent to Him"

No. Obviously not because God is way beyond any other being in power. Hence no equivalent.

"If it was from anyone other than God they would have found discrepancies"

This phrase is implying that the reader reflects upon the divine origin of the recitation and not your misplaced statement.

The word God/Allah is not referring to anyone except the The Master.

No religion/sect I can agree with, but no god I do not buy. Try another tale too.

"The one" in Arabic would be "Al-waahid". "Al-awal" would be "the first". "Al-Ahad" would be "The one and only".

No I am not an arabic speaker nor do I think there is a 'correct' translation, I do think there can be incorrect translations however. But I agree with muslims that translating it as 'God' when it is more like 'the God' which to ME is the same concept even if it is not necessarily the same word as 'the one' i.e. all that is, is more correct than simply 'God' because I believe the whole idea of identifying an awareness separate from your own awareness i.e. your true self is duality, which is another kind of idol worship.

If you have read the Quran you will no doubt know that.... God has not created this universe except that it and every thing in it worships God. So what is this being true to yourself? How can you be? The Quran warns us to be aware of God and to "restrain the self". Hence our very lives and every thing is dedicated to God and God's pleasure if we are believers.

I have read the Quran yes, all the way through, several times and have been studying it on and off for 14 years now. My current understanding is that your true self, free of any interference I believe is pure nothingness, it is 'awareness' and no more.

                                  Awareness of what? Awareness.

God as in a spirit in the sky cannot exist when there is awareness. Our real experience of ourselves is us being aware. Muslims is right - we do not exist as we think we do, at our core we are nothing but awareness. The outer human self that separates us from each other is ego - I believe God instructs all of us, in daily life as well as in all scriptures (not just the Quran) to kill the ego. 'Restraining the self' as you put it = kill the ego. Not deny your true self/'the one'/awareness/God.

I am under the impression Jane, that you are using the bible to confirm the Quran,

This is probably impossible considering that the Quran came later.

"Be still and know that I am God", this is the foundation of the Christian faith, I.e. since prophet Jesus is believed by Christians to be the son of God, hence he is God. Prophet Jesus did not say anything of the like nor could he say such a thing,

This psalm is not the foundation to the christian faith as it predates Jesus' existence. I am not sure why you are bringing Jesus into it anyway? Psalm 4610 is part of God's instruction to the Jewish/Israelite people, it is nothing to do with Jesus or the trinity. There is no need to bash me with why christians are deluded, I am aware of their errors, I am not currenlty one and have not been one for about 15 years.

"Be still and know that I am God" was not mis-translated nor misunderstood but injected by humans, corrupting scripture.

You have no proof of this. The gospels were changed several times and the writings by early christians were added along with them to suit the ideology of the trinity yes. But the psalms pre-date them. Plus they are more like poetry - I think it would be hard to inject words to the psalms without it messing up the word flow and being obvious.

What you quote from the Quran - that God blew from Its spirit, agreed, but are we told anything else? no! When you practically know nothing about what the spirit is or its nature, do you say about God what you know not without knowledge?

I can only say how I experience God as 'the one', I don't think this is blasphemous. Saying 'God says this/that' I think is wrong. I don't think I have done that.

Also, this is proof from the Quran, "God called to Moses from the burning bush", "Moses said My Lord let me look upon You" God said " you will not see me...." All this 100% refers to a separate entity.

Not necessarily. 'You will not see me' could also be because He can not be seen. God to me is kind of like formless nothingness, nothing but awareness. I try to imagine it but my head hurts. How do you see awareness? But our awareness is also us right? Is not separate.

And the parting of the sea, was that the feat of Israelites and Moses? Or was it God's?

There is no 'God'. The israelites were aware of it happening, I think their awareness and belief was making it happen through the angels' leave.

"And man was created weak/frail". How can you say that we are not helpless?

I do not feel helpless when I am aware.

If you were a part, even a mere minuscule part of God you would be without need. No, we are created beings by the Creator we know as "The God" and so we are separate, yet heavily dependent.

The ego demands separation but it is an illusion. We are not part of God as we do not exist. There is no God and there is no 'we'. There is awareness. The one awareness that can manifest anything that the awareness wills. That is all there is.

It needs some lateral thought...have a try before you get all hot and bothered .

                                  Peace.

                                    Dear muslims,

                                    May peace be upon you.

Can you please give us a single verse from the entire Quran, just one single verse from the whole Quran where Allah directly / unambiguously tells us that we are gods?

Nobody ever said that. That is a blasphemy yes.

Experiencing God/awareness as 'the one' as our true experience of ourselves is not, that is the difference.

The above doesn't explain the inconsistency, ie. the "duality of matter and/or concept". . ie. "equivalent" of idea and concept, ie. Godhood etc. .

Of course it is including the translation and interpretation

How could people understand/compare the message of the Quran if they did not translate and interpret it? confused

Here is the rule for correct interpretation

Do they not reflect on the Qur'an? <-- is referring to the interpretation
If it was from any other than God <-- wrong interpretation
they would have found in it many a discrepancy. <-- if there is discrepancy, it is not the correct interpretation

There is the "law of cause and effect"

God/god or deity is the "effect"

The "cause" is human "desires". . .

From these "desires", they create religions, kill etc. . .

                                        Therefore, I believe . . .

                                        God/god = Human Desires . . .

No God = No Desires (ie. which inconsistent with the Quran)

God is desire, God is dreams. . .

Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire?
Then would you be responsible for him?

I am guessing this is aimed at me so I will answer.

I do not think there is a superpower in the galaxies no, I think there is awareness which can bring into existence anything at all. Like 'the force' in the star wars movies, they are aware of it, do they think it is separate from them? No. So how have we created this 'God' persona that is separate from us? Idolatry is so common do we think we have magically escaped it just 'cause we don't associate with religious folk? The Quran constantly says to 'be aware' that is mainly what I get from it.

Human bodies are creations yes, but our experience of ourselves as humans is nothing but awareness I think. Awareness of what? All that is. Which is what? Awareness. Which part does God fit into then? I do not understand it myself entirely and I think that is impossible anyway. All I know is that the current 'God persona' idea feels wrong. There is no creation and there was never a point that anything 'came' into existence. That is how we understand the physical world as a linear thing but really everything has existed for eternity I think.

Not 'myself' as the one no, but what I experience as 'the one' yes.

                                          Peace.
